Good job. I did these to a set of weathertechs i got from the junkyard for my 2012 ford fusion. They weren't that bad just a few areas and good as new. Not complaining especially i paid $10 for the whole set including the trunk liner
Best way to form them, is to use sand bags. Heat the mats up well, then lay the sand bags on top of the mats where you want them to form to the shape of the floor and surrounding edges.
I have personally never done this, however, that's my common sense kicking in and that is exactly what I'm gonna do when I get my liners for my truck. It's a guaranteed fix.
I haven't done this myself, and I don't own any floor liners, however, I know this will work, simply from my common sense. This is the procedure I will use when I get my own liners in my truck. It's a guaranteed solution.
My suggestion if it gets hot outside right now in the summer time then leave them on a hot pavement/driveway for a few hours. Come back and place weights on them. No heat gun needed.
I HATE these mats they are absolute crap!! They lost their shape fast in my Honda Accord. Showing this to my husband before I rip them out and trash them.
I had the same trouble then reached out to weather tech and they simply told me the mats are probably not for my car, they have no clue what car I have. Just a bunch of clowns not wanting to take responsibility!
I have called for 2 sets of these they sent me new ones and the rep said I should have looked on TH-cam. Bullshit I am going to warranty out one more time then I am just going to get the lexus weather mats and they are cheaper than this crap
After what I paid for these I shouldn’t need to do this.
Same!!!
Shit ain’t perfect
I just paid $100 cash for an old 07 camry weather tech mats. The front ones are in decent condition but the rear probably need this treatment

I shouldn’t need a heat gun to fabricate these expensive mats. 2014 Murano owner and the passenger side is terribly out of shape.

Agree at 300 a shot why do I need to do this? But.. I do and I appreciate the how to.

I spilled Acetone on my Subaru Outback Cargo Liner it is really warped but that could work.
Think a blow dryer would work ?
I don’t think it’d get hot enough
Would it work better to heat them in the car so the shape is exact?
That heat gun gets pretty hot it will singe your carpet if you’re not super careful, so I guess i would not
@@jimmyfixesalotofstuff8620 oh. Thanks
@@jimmyfixesalotofstuff8620 and that is why you are Jimmy Fixes! You already know what works. Thanks!

Did it hold the shape after the fix?
Yes, but had to do a couple touch ups a few weeks later
It does for awhile
I use multiple spring clips to form and keep the shape. I agree you shouldn't have to do this to these liners
Well, guess why i'm here

I paid a lot of money for these things. What crap.
This will work for a while. These mats are absolute rubbish, do not recommend.
Really overrated
