THIS, is the Tron game i have always been looking for. I wish John, your creation can make it to PC one day. And Disney should employ you to make the next Tron game for Ares. This game is so beautiful. Multiplyer would be incredible beccause it would teach you to really co-ordinate with your team mates to take down the opposition. Plus John, I think you've done Daft Punk justice with your musical talents for the different game stages. On a 55" OLED TV with 7.1 surround sound going, your homage to Tron would make me feel like I AM in the Grid. Thank you John
I wish someone over at Disney could see the quality work here and offer you a job making something official for the franchise. It's amazing how well you captured the world in the movie.
@@TheRealAlpha2 That's very kind. Yeah it amazes me Disney haven't done more with the franchise as Tron Legacy hands you most of the game design on a plate. Just make it like the movie!
wow this looks absolutely incredible! i cant get on my playstation anymore, so I am sad to miss out on playing this. would love to see a game like this on resonite, there's definitely interest for full games like this on there. someone already made a flyable recognizer!
Sad Disney they could never license a game of this quality. Just wish this was available on PC. There was a Tron mod for GTA, but it didn't convert the city unfortunately. Both Tron and Dr Who are franchises just crying out for a decent open world game.
They sold Dreams to people the wrong way I think, they made it sounds like a platform any one could create art with but only a select few were capable of realizing the full potential with time and effort. It should have been put out more as a place where average people can experience stuff like this. With any platform of user generated content the problem always becomes a matter of finding the diamonds in all the trash and this is certainly a shiny diamond of amazing quality and brilliance. It's tempting me to buy a copy of Dreams just to find it, but the reality is the consumer base is drying up because of the difficulty in finding these diamonds and the time and effort investment required in making them scare people away. It's probably not long for this world no matter how enthusiastic I might be to play it and then I'll just be left with a disc doesn't open that portal of potential anymore. A shame more people won't get to experience this quality work. I'm not even going to say Dreams should be on PC because it's a pointless wish when Sony doesn't seem to care enough about it to consider it worthy of a port that might expand it's user base... Maybe I _will_ actually buy Dreams anyway, just in case I can move the needle just a little bit. Maybe keep it alive a little longer until Ares comes out.
You make great points. It's a tough one, because I still feel Dreams is probably the easiest and most engaging way to create games. But even in this "simple" form, there is no escaping the fact that game building will always be complex, and people without engineering skills are going to have difficulties. The marketing for Dreams was always very "cutesy", which is understandable as Media Molecule were famous for Little Big Planet, but it probably limited the audience. It also needed to adapt from trying to attract creators at launch, to trying to attract players to play those creations. Anyway there's so much to say about the Dreams saga and I won't attempt to do it here. The one thing I will say is that although they aren't developing it further, it will still be around for many years.
Never heard of Playstation Dreams as development environment O.O despite that the shown content looks polished, so big congrats for achieving this status already :)
@@mr-hypercycle I suppose you do something game dev related as your main job, right? Because once again your results look well above what such toolsets normally can do, or maybe I never dug deep enough into such softwares as I normally directly go for Unity or Unreal :P
Hypercycle Arena creator here. Yeah, I would love this to be on PC. The reason is partly that I never had a PC, but I did have a PlayStation & PSVR, so I built it on that (in 2020). Unfortunately to do a PC version I would need to buy a suitable PC & PCVR, and probably spend a year or two trying to recreate all of this. Which would be fine if I could sell the finished product, but I don't think Disney would be too happy about that 🙁.
This looks such a fun game!!! I do understand the developer wishes but limiting it to Playstation only is such a waste. The game is available to an user base that only cares about Spider Man and FIFA, the user base will be non-existent indeed.
This looks pretty cool and seems like they've done a Great Job while keeping faithful to the movies which I loved when they came out and still enjoy them today !! This is very similar to the Bike Sections in 'GhostRunner 2' which were very cool as well !! Nicely Done !! EDIT:- Would be Awesome if this could get made into a complete and seperate from Dreams, so it's a stand alone game that could be released on All Platforms.....I'd buy it !! 🤞🤞🤞
Terrific video. I don't think anyone has explained my game so well. And it was my absolute pleasure to do the interview.
Awesome game man!
@@critsal490 Thank you! I hope you get to play it

It's a crime that DREAMS never came to PC
Ha yes! There were rumours that it almost did
3:33 This place needs a rug to tie the room together
Surprised you didn't cover this sooner but delighted you did

Would've had no idea this was made in dreams
We need this for PC VR
So it’s the Game of Trons.

This alone almost makes me want to buy a PlayStation.
There are a couple of fantastic Sonic fan games on Dreams as well, so who knows, maybe it's worth it?

I finally have a reason to break the seal on my copy of "Dreams"! Thanks for the heads up on this!
There are a couple of fantastic Sonic fan games on Dreams as well. If you're a fan, check out Sonic Venture and Sonic Overdrive

Thanks. Actually I should have called it PS4 Dreams to be accurate. It's a great toolset but sadly never took off in the way things like Roblox did.

@@mr-hypercycle That's a shame, especially on the selling part. But at least this exists. Keep up the good work.
It small story to travel is cool.
To bad there's no PC version
Great video. DJ xSUBn remix of Daft Punk's END OF LINE.
Oh yeah, he did a cool remix. The music here is all original compositions from the game. I just need to get round to uploading them all to TH-cam 🙂
The creator should make a free roam base tron game

Legal.
Does this work on PSVR 2? I don’t think PS4 games do, right?
I don't think dreams was made compatible for PSVR2. I think i heard they said there wasn't enough community behind it.
pls pls make a remake on unreal or somthing
Ok
Hi @mr-hypercycle, would love to speak with you about a project I am working on. What is the best way to contact you? Thanks James
Ok
