Haha, I think this one was probably a bit of piloting error. This was like... My third match of cube back after not playing for 2 years. I recorded the mana tithe league much later after I had played a few leagues
You're the only vintage cube youtuber who wants to play fun decks that isn't just playing green creatures or forcing channel and going 0-3 every time. I really enjoy watching these.
At 44:42 you can cast wheel, in response to wheel cast cabal rit, and then crack LED in response to rit. That puts 7 in grave for rit before it resolves, giving you full mana from threshold
38:31 You had all information -- Kitsa, Life/Death and Atraxa. You had to Collective Brutality Life/Death from their hand and just oath next turn. I guess you didn't knew what Kitsa does - )
Yeah I had never seen Kitsa before, I thought it was just prowess and copy spells. My brain hasn't adjusted to recent cards having one more line of text than I would expect
Friendly reminder to the mana tithe haters, doubters and naysayers-- Caleb went 3-0 matches and 6-0 games with the mana tithe deck. Someone tell the MTG talking heads to update the cube ranking list--Mana tithe > black lotus confirmed!
At 25:53 you have the win. Lotus for BBB+R from Mox. Breach (storm 4) BB floating Rain of Filth from the yard. (Duress, IOK, Island) B floating. Sac both lands. BBB & storm 5. Replay Lotus (Grisle, Swamp, Bazaar) storm 6. Sac for BBB. BBBBBB floating. Play Yawg Will. Storm 7 BBB Replay Lotus BBB floating. Storm 8 sac for BBB Replay Filth BBBBBB floating, storm 9. Replay tendrils.
You had the easiest turn 1 kill available on that last game 😩 Mystical tutor for tendrils, thought scour to get it into hand, black lotus for black, cabal ritual to go to 4 black floating at 9 storm for exactly 20.
God Gannon storming is one of my fave pieces of content. helped inspire me streaming / doing magic data collection work! keep on being awesome, can't wait for my algomancy to arrive
You could have won on t1 with that last hand. After you echoed, you could go black lotus for 3 blue, mystical tutor for yawg, thought scour target opp, cabal ritual, yawg will: lotus, cabal, mystical tutor for tendrils, gitaxian probe, tendrils.
24:10-ish, Can anyone explain to me why after having Rain Of Filth in the graveyard and Yawgmoth's Will in hand, several already tapped lands in play, that Caleb feels he doesn't have "enough mana" to go off? Am I missing something or does he just not see it?
What is the line to go off? Maybe you linked to the wrong timestamp but I only had one land in play where you linked. (Note, I believe I can get exactly tendrils for lethal there, but it's not the easiest line to find, especially not in real time).
love the deck! it makes me wish MODO had a once-per-season-per-user token to be able to run back the same deck in a new league. why? for science! in this case, i bet you'd 3-0 after some piloting reps. They'd get some cool data about what cards or decks most or least benefit from additional experience, and which have the most variance va consistency. But i totally agree this is a busted deck, that just happens to be tricky to pilot under some circumstances
Just wanted to say I'm super glad youre back uploading videos regularly again. I actually left episode 298 in my watch later for the entire time you were gone, because I didn't want to watch it if it was the last one I'd ever see, instead it was like an internet memento of my favourite MtG creator. Now that you're back, I've been watching every vid ofc, and plan to finally watch 298 tonight. Is that weird of me? Yes. But so is 3 years of research to prove mana tithe superiority, so at least I feel you'd understand (for the record, I agree with your findings, mana tithe is the goat)
I’ll Be honest, yours are the only vintage cube videos I enjoy watching. Keep them up please and thanks
Caleb playing average looking mono-white deck with a single mana tithe: EZ 3-0 6-0. Caleb playing black lotus storm turn 1 win: 2-1 on a good day.

He missed the T1 kill here 😢
I dont see te line :(
@@samuelviroli8792 Storm is already 5, just lotus ritual tendrils.

Oh I like that
@@CalebGannon magic is such a good game, even though the cards have been there forever and you've been playing a long time it still surprizes you.

19:49 attack with Lurrus gain 3 then cast imperial seal on second main phase and end at 2 life
And then die to the 20/20 on their turn
@@CalebGannon you are right! top deck tutors do work that way

Improving Sunday, thanks Caleb.
I like your vids so much that I wait to watch them cause I know if I watch right way then it will be over and I won't have more to watch
30:49 bruh op is straight up playing a banned legacy deck lol
Surveil lands are now opt as well as a time walk, they just keep getting better and better
If you don't take Guide, how will you run tithe?
Phenomenal. 10/10. No notes (other than what others have already said ;)
I really missed seeing these storm turns
Always fun to watch a truly busted deck!
hype to get my copy of Algomancy some day soon
Great deck!
Cant believe it didnt 3-0

@@CalebGannon Sorry bro, more accurate time stamp of the moment (instead of earlier of the same game) is around 26:10-ish and forward.
the goat is back?
I was so sad when you could've attacked with Lurrus for 3 more life with imperial seal in hand
I still just die though, seal doesn't put the card into my hand
@CalebGannon oh, completely forgot it goes on top! Nvm then!
Pm me algomancy info and if we can pilot it online or just tabletop? If so any going in NJ/NYC?
I got to see Marit Lage!

Gonna comment before I even watch the video and criticize your draft
When you gonna take the big rabbit
I did draft the big rabbit in a deck! It'll be uploaded eventually
they really printed a big chungus card
With a title like that, how can you expect anyone not to click
Lurrus! Lurrus!
Insanity
JUST HARD CAST THE GRISS
I just kept begging you to yolo for storm
Jajajaj es lo más este chabón
Storm is ass. It takes too many specific cards to win.
And then you do win and it's not ass anymore
