Was always a huge George Michael fan and was fortunate enough to him him perform on his last tour in Vancouver, BC,,he was beyond amazing. I now live in Ontario and saw Adam Lambert with Queen in 2023...OMG, wow, Adam and Queen were insanely good!! Such a pleasure to hear him sing a few of George's songs.
I was actually there for that event, and the electricity in the air was really palpable. His charisma as an entertainer is off the charts. What I really love about his singing is that his voice is completely consistent throughout the range, and he makes it all seem completely effortless.
As a PAF volunteer, I was privileged to volunteer at this event. As a long time Adam Lambert fan, I always love how he makes any cover song his own. If you haven't seen any of his performances with Queen, you've missed a lot. FYI, George Michael donated $25,000 every year from 1993 until he died. He also donated his Mercedes to sell at an auction to make money for PAF. And he also spent some time in the kitchen at PAF to bake some cakes when he had community service to fulfill.
The Angel Food Project is one George Michael gave time and money to for years when he lived in LA. He actually volunteered and cooked in their kitchen at times. Adam also supports this charity. Thank you for the reaction. Adam always delivers no matter what he is singing.

Btw, have you seen Adam perform “Who Wants To Live Forever” with Queen at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2016? He dedicated it to the 50 innocent people killed at the mass shooting in the Pulse nightclub in Florida. It was an absolutely stunning performance. Extremely moving.❤
“One more Try” Adam so soulful. When Adam sings “that look in your eye” and looks into the camera at me, he melts my heart and makes me weak every time! Kudos to Adam for being so respectful to George, wearing less makeup. God how I love this man!!!
Love his slow stuff...then he sings something bopping and I am ready to bop along. Let's face it I just love anything Adam sings. Great reaction guys and great request Madison.

Thanks, Madison for the request and thank you guys for the wonderful review. If I’m not mistaken Adam was on tour with Queen so this was done on a day off between shows. I also read that George Michael’s family requested that Adam be asked to perform these songs. He truly has a voice like no other. I love that he always makes the songs his own!!
Phenomenal performance. Very well done. Thanks so much Madison G. for the suggestion. George Michael would be proud. Thanks guys for another great reaction.- Hawk
@@MadishapesF Yes. I've obviously been living underneath a rock for some time. I'm discovering a lot of amazing artists on BPR's channel that I would otherwise never have experienced. My preferred genres are blues, southern rock, some hard rock, some soft rock, and A Capella.
Love this so much. Yes, One More Try definitely deserved a perfect score. He sang that so beautifully, I still listen to that tribute often. Adam Lambert singing blues, soul and similar is always so special, he has the perfect voice for it. Too bad he doesn't do it more often. I know he's amazing as a pop/rock singer & I love those songs as well, but these types of songs suit him so well & he just knows how to inject the right amount of emotion and to interpret the true meaning of the song while still impressing us with his vocal ability.
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! I love it! ❤❤❤ It's a shame Adam didn't sing at George's induction into the Hall of Fame. He was on the Queen tour again.
This was a real treat - and something that I've never watched before. One More Try is also my favorite GM song - and Adam did an incredible job with it.
George was easily one of the best song writers of all time. IMO He had one of the best falsetto voices with that impeccable breathless tone. Not too many cover his material as it's almost impossible to replicate. Adam's soft vibrato and those vocal runs definitely done those tracks justice 👏
I know this is another comment on the same reaction but I really did love this reaction for several reasons. One is that I loved George Michael. He was fantastic. He was a beautiful man. Secondly, I love Adam Lambert now also, he is a beautiful man and he is a fantastic singer. I think he is the greatest nowadays. I think I might be a little in love with him just like George Michael. Third, you guys gave him a 10. Both of you did and that’s not very often so I’m glad that you did on this one. The song was great. You know folks I think I prefer Adam’s cover/arrangement of One More Try to the original, I KNOW, SHOCKING, SCANDALOUS but I think it’s less strained than George’s version, I think Adam reaches the very high register easier and more naturally 🤔😊
If you keep watching the rest of the original video, Adam references George singing the Queen song, as you did, and then sings it! LOL😃 Enjoy the rest of his performance!
George Michael was a great supporter of this charity. It was GM family who ask Adam to do this medley, Adam was in a Queen tour and in his day off he travel to honor GM and his family. Adam become a great supporter of this charity and in the last fundraiser he help raised a million dollars.
Ah, NO. You're wrong there. It was the organizers of the Project Angel Foundation who invited Adam, NOT George's sisters. Source: Terri Knudsen's article on Metro Source, titled, "Project Angel Food Thanks George Michael With Help From Adam Lambert".

Hi, we have a link in the description of the video which will take you to our, “buy me a coffee” web site. Thank you very much for checking out our channel.
No doubt Adam Lambert has an incredible voice and is a gift to the world with his talent. But I still struggle with anyone trying to cover George Michael who was truly a one of a kind.
@@chrispavlich9656 I respectfully disagree. Not everyone is one of a kind. There are so many singers out there that just copy other people’s sound like a parrot. It takes someone very special to take on the music of an icon like George Michael. And his music will never die or gather moss.
@@chrisschultz2506I have to agree. Adam can sing certainly and has a big range but for me he lacks the soul and emotion George had in his voice, George made you feel a song.
@@rolybling Well Adam was ask for GM family to gave this tribute, so what you are against his family? Respect for this tribute, to Adam, to his family and to the charity that GM gave a lot of money. Think before said something awful.
@@rolybling I can feel the soul in his voice, a great deal of emotion, chills, tears in my eyes ... George was my favorite singer, so I'm strict. Maybe the problem is with you. Bias?
This was AWESOME! Adam is probably the only vocalist who could’ve done George’s songs justice.💕 (When it comes to covering Freddie Mercury’s songs, I actually prefer Marc Martel - he just sounds the most like Freddie, which is why they used his voice to supplement Freddie’s in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie - but Adam’s singing is fantastic, obv, and he has the perfect voice to cover/do justice to George’s music.)
I do not care for Marc Martel, at all bc he imitates Freddie’s voice and makes his living by doing that. I admire Adam for Never once trying to copy Freddie. He brought his own voice and his own individual artistic integrity to Queen. Queen was never interested in Martel for the very reason that he copied Freddie. They already had their Freddie. Why choose a second rate, mediocre copy? He would have destroyed the band. They knew that.. Adam lit Queen up again almost immediately and instantly. People loved him.And Queen was brought back to life with Adam Lambert. You can’t deny it.
@@veronicamatchett8227 Rami did a very SMALL amount of vocals in the film, in live scenes like the “Happy Birthday to me” scene at the piano. I NEVER said that Marc’s voice was used exclusively, my exact words were “to SUPPLEMENT Freddie”. I have researched this issue quite a bit, although there are other folks out there who, I know, have researched it infinitesimally MORE and know more than me… I don’t claim to be an expert.🖖
@@carolhagerty4288 Well, the all-encompassing statement that “Queen” was never interested in Marc isn’t exactly how it went: ROGER wanted Marc. BRIAN wanted Adam. And YES, Brian wanted Adam for his energy and his edginess… and Adam obviously has the voice to sing Queen’s difficult songs. So, Roger and Brian’s “compromise” was that Marc’s tribute band (Queen Extravaganza) is the ONLY Queen tribute band that is OFFICIALLY ENDORSED by Queen; it’s even included as part of Queen’s official website. …In my comment, I NEVER said that I thought Marc should be Queen’s front man… Adam obviously has a chemistry and rapport with Brian and Roger. I simply stated my own personal feelings that for me (if forced to choose someone other than Freddie to listen to) I’d prefer listening to Marc’s voice. (I think this is mainly because I prefer listening to baritones over tenors. Adam is obviously a tenor… Freddie was actually a natural baritone, and I believe Marc must be also, due to the fact that he is able to convincingly imitate Luciano Pavarotti.)
@@carolhagerty4288 …BTW, Marc doesn’t actually do anything to his voice to make it sound different to copy Freddie, that’s just his natural singing voice. And, if we’re being literal, Marc and Adam BOTH make their living (at least part of it) singing Queen’s songs… as a lot of other singers (Freddie Impersonators) do as well.🖖
I think the fact that not even Adam Lambert can do justice to George’s songs shows how incredibly talented George Michael was. He really was a once in a lifetime vocalist. Sorry, but Adam wasn’t even close.
@marcelguy - I agree that George had once in a lifetime voice. Adam does a good job here but in my opinion I agree it’s not on the same level as George.
Adam is a good singer but not a star. A good voice without the emotional connection to the song just makes you a singer. George not only had a great voice but he was telling a story and had an emotional connection to his songs, which is what made him more than just a singer.
@@ChloeR-vt4bh He's not missing anything and you stop presenting your subjective opinions as objective assertions. You don't like him? OK, don't listen to him, but don't write nonsense here.
@janulake - I have my own opinions just like you do. I don’t dislike AL, I think he does a good job with Queen, but IMO he does not have the charisma of Freddie Mercury. He is a good singer, I just don’t prefer his version of this song. He has a completely different tone to GM and for me, it doesn’t sound as good.
I don’t think he conveys the same emotion or connection as George. For me, that was one of the key things that made GM such a great singer and performer.
No, That is NOT Adam's real voice, he's trying to sound like GM. Never happen .He always says he isnt copying people but he's always imitating other people's voices. As usual he IS trying to sound like George... I dont think he even came close, sorry. And he says the same thing when hhe tries to sound like Freddie Mercury which he never even comes close to... nobody could ! He'll never even come close to sounding like the legendary, incredible, G.O.A.T . Freddie Mercury ! I used to love Adam & i actually cried for him when he lost winning American Idol. But why doesnt he just sing with his own voice & not attempt to sound like the real super stars? And he screams his songs, he doesn't just sing Adam Lambert anymore. What is he trying to prove. Sing your voice & write yr own music again like your hit What Do You Want From Me.
Where on earth is he trying to sound like George Michael? Where in the song? Let me know. Explain in detail LOL🤷♀🤦♀ Then let me know EXACTLY how he tries to sound like Freddie. Your comment is ridiculous.
Adam is a great singer but doesn't have the vocal tone to be one of the best. He too often sounds like he's singing cabaret while overshooting high notes, and doesn't have a distinct voice.
Adam is a once in a lifetime talent ❤❤
Adam is a brilliant artist. His vocals are so moving . He is so good, I just cry.😢

you need to keep listening to madison ;) ❤ adam lambert
Hahaha! Best comment ever!😊
Seriously guys if you like Adam’s rendition of GM’s One More Try you GOTTA hear Beverley Knight’s version from her Soul UK album, you can also find her performing it live here in YT along with her cover of Roachford’s Cuddly Toy, SMASHES IT on both!! 😊
Only one George❤❤❤ but Adam can sing but…..
Hi Guys. Love your reactions. How do I get to Buy me a coffee? I'm thick as a brick when it comes to technology. A big cup with an arrow would be good. I'd love to send some requests. One more try was wonderful. Thank you.
Everyone is one of a kind. George’s music shouldn’t die because he has. I don’t think any artist would want their music to gather moss.
Bias?
turn your volume up please
Sounds more like Queen
This was AWESOME!
Adam is probably the only vocalist who could’ve done George’s songs justice.💕
(When it comes to covering Freddie Mercury’s songs, I actually prefer Marc Martel - he just sounds the most like Freddie, which is why they used his voice to supplement Freddie’s in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie - but Adam’s singing is fantastic, obv, and he has the perfect voice to cover/do justice to George’s music.)
And, if we’re being literal, Marc and Adam BOTH make their living (at least part of it) singing Queen’s songs… as a lot of other singers (Freddie Impersonators) do as well.🖖
American twang?
lol ikr?
Yep get twangging!! lol 😂

Maybe in the south! I’ll start right away though! 😉
Try telling Brian and Roger that Adam isn’t a star….
Rob lamberti sounds more like George michael.
Not sure who that is will check them out
I think the fact that not even Adam Lambert can do justice to George’s songs shows how incredibly talented George Michael was. He really was a once in a lifetime vocalist. Sorry, but Adam wasn’t even close.
Sorry, but you're writing nonsense.
Sorry, but you're writing nonsense.
@nick - completely agree. Definitely missing the emotional connection of George - one of the things that made him so unique.
And he says the same thing when hhe tries to sound like Freddie Mercury which he never
even comes close to... nobody could !
@susancooper3111
OK
Don’t listen then
Adam has never tried to copy anyone! He does every cover his own way and sometimes better than the original.
Sorry, but you're writing nonsense.
Adam is a great singer but doesn't have the vocal tone to be one of the best. He too often sounds like he's singing cabaret while overshooting high notes, and doesn't have a distinct voice.
I PREFER TO LISTEN OF GEORGE 100X MORE!! IF NOT 1000X.
