@@ZiggyDGaming I cannot even remember the time you had to "complete" components like in Titan Quest. Right now, it's like I'm swimming in low-lvl components fully-finished.
If you at least open the chests before you start the new waves, the loot will still be on the ground. You have to stay in game for this to be true though, don't expect to log out and have it waiting for you next time you log in.

I did this with higher lvl character, as not wanting to start over. It is a nice break from campaign, fun to do, loot is pretty good, xp is very very nice, and waves are very quick
It's worth mentioning that if you farm to 10 devotion points instead of 5, you'll hit the new max cap of 55 points right around the time you hit A4 in Elite. Saves you some hassle on Ultimate and gives you a nice power boost.
Which expansion though? The newest one, Ashes of Malmouth or Crucible? Because Crucible is just basically 4 arena maps and just GD's version of horde mode more or less lol Don't get me wrong, the DLC is fun and it certainly adds some needed variation to the game, but if you want story content or stuff like that, Crucible isn't the expansion to get.
I just tried it with a new Shaman. Add this to Grasping vine as your first attack spell, you'll be going fast as F. Grasping vine at that low lvl of enemy insta kills groups of 6-9 enemies. You'll spend 8-10 second grinding the boss. One round getting to ten will take more or less 3-4mins.
Alternatively to starting with the campaign first, you can go straight into Crucible. First clear 2-3 waves then die, either from enemies or run over to the glowing vortex's where the enemies spawn. After you respawn you should be level 5 and have a couple chests to loot. I found this out by accident this morning. I already knew from another video that if you die immediately after starting Crucible you will get to level 2, but with no gear. I decided to try killing a few enemies first to try to get some extra XP and ended up getting 3 more levels for clearing 2, maybe 3 waves before dying. Just a handy tip for anyone that is just getting into this game, like me. :)
Going into the campaign to get level 2 first is much, much better. Even if you don't pick up any items having a skill vs just smacking everything to death is invaluable.
This method is best done on a shaman in my experience, for shaman max devouring swarm and use that for the entire run, do the run to get between 5 to 10 devotions, after the first 10 its definitely not worth it, 6-10 is worth it only on shaman imo. This sort of thing is done to get proc devotions earlier so they can be levelled faster.
Buddy Barlow tell me how you're "forced into shaman". Just because its simpler on shaman doesnt make it impossible on other masteries. This isn't poe. Lastly, there are a lot of very solid classes with shaman matstery being a part of, if you were choosing one of those youd start shaman.
Hi ZiggyD, Yeah I know this is like year and a half old, but I have given up on POE, Having a Blast in GD. Demo Inquisitor Dual Wield......, A bit slower paced, but personally, GGG has lost their way, especially with the sell out to Tencent.
Just a question since you are trying to build a dual wield purifier and I'm trying to as well, why have you chosen for twin fangs and which constellations are you planning to tap into? I'll be honest the devotion tree I'm looking at at the moment has me flying all over the constellation map with the only side I don't have any constellations on being the order side.
This can be optimised further by collecting a few lore books and leveling to level 2 and 90%. Once you start your first wave of crudible, just pop the lorebooks and you're already level 3 for some extra skillpoints.
so you can get devotion point in the arena but what happens to the points from the act1 shrines can you also get those or are the used when you get there?
Guys I dont have those colorful squares (powers?) that are above the bar with skills...Im level 50 but im not very experienced in this genre. How can I get those?
And if you can do it in that time you'll do it in the same time or less with this method. The main point though is to skip the early levels which can be pretty painful on a lot of builds - and to get the cheap early devotion points from Crucible before you start finding the shrines in the world.

Melee is very solid in this game, lots of high end builds are melee and it plays decently with the way the targeting is designed (hold left click and itll auto attack targets you mouse over). Mixture of abilities and default attack skills with extra procs.
2-handed and dual wield melee builds are among the most dps heavy builds out there, melee and shield builds tend to be good in both survivability and in damage output. Simply put melee builds are very solid in this game.
Guys i wouldn't listen to any guide when Ziggy actually made a DeathKnight and went tank with skeleton summons, literally the most borked build ive seen. (His 2nd build, purifier was way better but i'd say try to prepare better next time :P ) He lacks a ton of experience in this game, he knows his PoE but Grim Dawn? Not so much but it's good to see a top ARPG streamer putting more eyes on this game.

Cuz you know, to unlock poe's end game, you need to pick one of the 5-8 builds allowed at this difficulty level in order to not die on every bad spawn. You'll need to grab a 6links too, and i don't have 6 000 000 000 000 000 000 hours of my life to spend in that shit, nor 25$ to buy it... And look honestly at PoE's start. It's like you described, not very dynamic, not sharp at all... And if you dig it, you'll finally find that it can be very swift and addictive, perhaps too fast, like ridiculously fast. So PoE is great, it has some great features, but let's talk about scenario. huh ? dialogs ? secrets ? crafting ? oh yeah reroll an item ain't any craft for me. factions ? Reputations ? devotions ? Music ? I can talk about 25 viable selfmade builds in grim dawn, not to mention the 120 others existing on the web ... So PoE has his own style, and it's a very good arpg for players that can afford the TIME to play it. There are 3 rares at the start. Olman's axe is in one of the houses too. (Cold one handed axe with ice spike proc)
there are 4 rares actually. last one is a 2hand range weapon (w/ stun proc) in siren camps if my memory serves me right.
This face when I farmed the first 10 wave about 8 times but only checked the loot room after the last one.....

If I play a caster build (pretty much always) I always use fire blast from the searing ember at early levels, it's a good skill to have.

you're right, but in fact the soft cap is 5 cost, unless you play hardcore, where every bit of survavibility is ever very sweet.

I didn't actually know about the devotion points in crucible. That'll prove useful for getting your devotion skills leveled up faster.

There are different arenas, it'll choose one to start on randomly I believe and then it changes every so often as you progress it seems.
