*NOTES ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE, KILL ALL EXCEPTIONS, HOW ENEMIES WORK ETC.*
    - I added intro cutscene in post production. I'll upload and provide the link of this no damage challenge run without intro cutscene as well. It's more convenient for me not watching cutscenes during runs.
    - Sometimes I pause the game/go into inventory and leave after knife slash/shooting enemies. It's because visiting inventory and getting out puts your character into their neutral standing state. Makes your character recover instantly from recoil etc.
    - I killed everything except for snakes that seems to be infinite in both at 37:28 and 1:28:48. In caves I killed some of them and more snakes spawned where I was.
    - This is the GOG release of the game. I got the english version. There are differences between RE1 classic's versions. Enemies in japanese version and GOG release seems to have less HP than Director's Cut and U.S Longbox version (Longbox also shuts off auto-aim. someone correct me if I'm wrong) Enemies like hunters, chimeras die in 1 magnum shot here. Yawn takes 4 acid rounds while it's 5 on other versions. I'd go for Longbox version if I had the game, but I don't. The best I could do was to play this on NG+ mod which seems to higher enemy HP values to other versions, but I decided to keep it on NG due to reasons.
*How enemies work/what I figured working on this no damage challenge run/general notes*
    - Knife in this game is both useful and useless depending on the situation. 17:07 is where I knifed crawler zombie on my other attempts but decided to change my route in this run. Bad thing about knife hits is, zombies and dogs have their hitbox in center of their bodies - their torso area otherwise you knife air. Against dogs, knife can be risky unless you position Chris/Jill in correct spot.
On the other hand, knife is useful against Yawn as it can be seen at 1:02:49. I didn't knife Yawn in order to consume ammo but to show how he works, what can be done. I know most people complain about him and depends on fast kills. I think the way I fought Yawn can give you idea of how he works. He basically has two different states, high level/rise up state as I like to call and crawler. In both states he does 5 attacks, gets cooldown moment then switches to other state. The fight is mostly about spacing. Yawn tends to follow you and aligns himself with you when he's not in same line as you. Moments like 1:03:02 I walk and then run in straight line, so Yawn will be able to does his bite. Otherwise he can try to align himself with where Chris is, and it means I wouldn't have more space in the room until reaching the wall and it could be bad. The same not attacking until ''correct'' moment happens in crawler state too. Don't know has anyone ever thought about this, but how important spacing here makes me think Yawn and Bela Dimitrescu similar boss fights in one way.
    - Hunters are one of the most problematic enemies due to their weird i-frames and jumpy behaviour. They read your input. Aiming at them would make them jump at you which can be used for our advantage as I did at 1:07:23. Shooting them when they are on ground makes them get up faster. Also, both in this encounter and other ones like 1:01:27 they can be shot twice back to back, then they do this walk/slide backward and become invisible for a moment.
Hunters here at 1:01:27 can't jump I believe and having long distance allows us to use handgun. I also showed handgun only fight in smaller/tighter rooms such as 58:05. Unlike RE1 Remake, hunters can only hit you with their left hand which means you can dodge them by running to their right. Then you can use this 2 shots then wait idea I showed in this run. It makes most of them harmless without spamming magnum or shotgun.
Some of them tends to jump when you aim like the one at 1:02:07, so you can use their jump attack for your advantage 1:02:16. You can use the handgun idea with shotgun by staying close to jumpy ones and they wouldn't jump as you'll be staying close to them.
I used flamethrower against the hunters in caves. It's one place Chris has advantage over Jill in terms of having ''extra'' weapon. It works well against hunters as fire constantly stuns them.
    - 1:13:05 is one way to deal with spiders. It's basically quick shooting where I mash aim button while holding action button. It lets our character shoots faster. Handgun against spiders might be the best weapon overall. Doesn't take too many shots and unlike heavier weapons, killing spiders with handgun doesn't break their sack (if that's the correct word. I mean their body) Because doing that would make them spawn too many little spiders.
I believe spiders have two moves as charge and spit. Spit can be dodged by running sideways which I intentionally showed against Black Tiger at 1:27:10. Bad thing is, we need to be quite fast after shooting as spiders spit right after we hit them. The same idea happens with regular spiders too, but I believe they can spit only one chunk of acid at a time unlike Black Tiger doing 3 pieces which makes it's attack riskier as it comes at us wider. Easier way for Black Tiger is just spamming quick shooting as you enter the room. It takes 3 magnum shots all the time.
    - 1:32:53 Zombies there spawn for 3 times
    - Crows at balcony 7:39 die in one shot while the ones in painting room requires two. It feels that some enemies are not meant to be fought and crows are one of them imo.
    - Chimeras in this version die in one magnum shot. On NG+ mode it takes 2 magnum+1 close range shotgun. They get some absurd i-frames which makes them one of the worst enemies in this game. One another stupid thing is, if you leave the room before their dying animation completes, they respawn. So kill them, see the blood, wait a bit then leave the room. The same thing happens with Black Tiger too. Weird.
    - I know this from my knife only runs that dog at 36:11 is tamed unless you force him to do something. Walking while not touching him would give you free access to the spot where I started shooting. I found that spot the best as we able to see all of them and will get attack from only one side. The ones in next room 37:42 I like to reset the room and stay as far as possible from them and resetting also puts them in good spot. It's not as safe as previous room, but better than any other spot except for waiting at elevator and cheese them.
You can use shotgun here in order to stop multiple dogs in one shot which wasn't exact reason why I used shotgun on dogs in this run. On top of that reason, I wanted to save handgun ammo for hunters instead. If you attempt some challenge like this, shotgun on dogs is not economical way, but I still had many resources when I beat the game.
    *Final Thoughts*
    - I didn't do this run with viewership expectation but just wanted to do it. I intentionally made the run harder by doing knife only Yawn fight, doing pistol only hunter battles, avoiding quick shooting against Black Tiger etc. Most enemies in this version can be shot kill with magnum which wouldn't show anyone how enemies work, what they are capable of or show different approaches than just shooting. It's a light challenge run if you don't want to take any risk. Anything can be shot simple shot kill which would make this run pointless and boring for me. I have a feeling games like RE2 classic might work simple like that which is why I don't think I'd be that into doing kill all in RE2. RE2 Remake kill all challenges was mostly simple too. There's nothing much interesting to show. I think RE7 Madhouse kill all was more fun than RE2R. RE3R's Inferno was cool too in some ways, but others like enemies being tanky wasn't that fun.
I'll do Jill version of this challenge too. Just don't know if I can add more restrictions on that run on top no damage no save. I need to route that and figure some stuff before saying anything, but it's so obvious that if I use every weapon and play safe, it'd be just walking in the park and shooting some stuff. Her regular runs are so simple. I can make some unnecessary in game challenges on her run as well like knife only Yawn here or some similar ideas.
If you read this comment, please give like to this comment, so I can know that I didn't type all of these for nothing. I could know that someone tries to understand the game, cares about my effort. Lastly, those who have been supporting the channel and me, I appreciate you. Take care.

RE2 classic kill all is only interesting and challenging in the early stages. The city street area is nuts because of the amount of zombies and limited ammo. Once you get the spade key, you get more than enough ammo to kill everything, with the only challenge is not getting hit. It'd be fun to try it on your personal time to see if you think it's worth a youtube video. Watching this video now, just wanna say your videos are great, even if I don't get to comment all the time, I am watching them!
Edit: Carci is currently doing RE2 classic kill everything no damage no item box and is losing his mind lol

@@likeicareusewe Yeah I assume it would be just shooter after reaching RPD lol. When the run doesn’t have any gameplay mechanics, interesting stuff, it becomes kind of pointless. Especially kill all challenges become repititive.
Also, don’t worry about not commenting. I don’t comment on TH-cam videos either. I was just wondering if people find my long, insightful comments useful or not. I know most people don’t read anything long

Huh, hunters dropping in 6-7 handgun shots? Now I'm curious about weapons' damage outputs.

Handgun is effective against them. Usually takes 7 shots. Ammo is generous too. It takes 3-4 shotgun to kill hunters. I used handgun both to show how to deal with hunters and save shotgun for zombies.
