Follow us along as I explain why we ditched our 37” Falken Wildpeak AT3W (manufacturing defect) tires for a new set of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss All Terrain tires on her Jeep JK.
** It should be noted that I’m currently running the 32” AT3W tires on our 2006 TJ and have not experienced any weird vibrations after almost 20k miles like we’ve had with her 37’s **

Cool Jeep folk's. Greetings from Australia. I have a HZJ 75 series Diesel powered Toyota Landcruiser. 33 inch MTZ's. A softer compound. I have traveled 40 plus thousand kilometers on both sealed and unsealed road's, trails and tracks including a full lap of the Australian continent with a camper trailer on the back. And, the MTZ's still have 45 % of the tread, So, you can tell that I do not drive my 4x4 hard ever, well on some trail's you have to "stomp & steer". When these faithful tires need to be replaced, Mickey's again thank's..

I ran 35" Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires on my JLU before going to 37s, and they were excellent. In fact, I not only drove cross country with them, but also wheeled Moab and Colorado while they were on my Jeep. The ONLY reason that I switched to Cooper ST Maxx when I decided to go to 37s is because of the deal I got on them. Otherwise I surely would be running the Falkens again. I have friends who run teh Mickey Thompson Baja Boss, and love them, but I just wanted to post my experience with the Falken Wildpeaks. I highly recommend them..
I run the Falken Wildpeak AT3W on our 2006 TJ. They are a 32x11.50r15 and they have been great! I’ve put almost 30k miles on them and not one issue. We like both tires, but in the end, we enjoy the Mickey Thompson when it comes to the larger 37”. Thanks Randy for the comment! I truly appreciate your input!

I did the same and I am very happy,changed my 33 Falken WP At3 for the new 33 MT Baja Boss AT tires on my 2016 Tacoma.Saludos from Puerto Rico!

Definitely some great looking tires. My dad had the same issue on his 03 TJ. Amazing what a bad set of tires will do. Awesome Jeep by the way

Great choice in tire. I got the Baja Boss MT in a 35 the day before I left Mobile, AL and drove to Colorado and then on to Moab. Rode great, preformed off road even better. Had them for over a year now and still happy with them. I run around 13psi off road and about 28psi on the road for my JKU. Great video, keep them coming.

@@justinm.791 You cant go wrong with either one. The MTs just have a more aggressive tread and I still had the stock 33s on another set of rims. I thought I would switch back and forth as needed if the MT was too much on the road. NOPE. Sold the 33s and just kept the 35s as they were fine as is.

I think we have the same exact rims too!!
They are the Pro Comp 7032 17” wheels. She initially picked out an AEV wheel and it was the most expensive wheel out there at the time. At least she’s got good taste. She wanted the military black look and pro comp was similar to the AEV wheel.
Those are some great tires, I had a set on my old TJ! They wear fantastic!
So far, so good! We really like them. I plan to run them on my TJ as well once these AT3W tires wear out. Ron, thanks for the comment!

I had falken 285/70r17 the pulled I had a 30 day trial so I changed to lt mickey thompson baja boss 33's on my 04 tacoma they ride alot smother then falkens but quieter no pulling great tires work great in every condition 👍

The wildpeaks weren't balanced correctly. They were fine. I understand you wanted new tires. That's cool.
kerplunk, we had them rebalanced twice locally before getting Battle Thru Gear involved. There were a couple of tires that had a manufacturer defect which caused the issue. No amount of balance fixed the issue. This is why we thought initially that it was a driveshaft or pinion angle issue. The tires were sent back to the manufacturer under warranty.
How many inches of lift on the JK? And wheel backspacing?
Hey Austin, I installed a 4” Teraflex coil lift on her Jeep. No coil spacers or anything extra.
The wheels are a 17” Pro Comp 7032 wheel with 4.75” backspace.

They were sent back to Falken under warranty. Thank you for the comment. I’m running the Falken on our TJ and have had zero issues with the 32” tire.
How tall do your 37’s measure out on the jeep?
Mine speedo is set at 36.5 and seems to be right on the spot.
What half doors are those?
Hey James! The half doors are the Bestop Core doors. I disassembled them myself and took them to my paint guy to have them paint matched. I left the inner portion of the doors black texture how they came. They painted over the lip so it’s a clean transition. Then, I bought the mirrors separately because I didn’t want to pull her factory mirrors off the full doors. We really like them!
