Two rewatches and one “Return to Oz” rewatch I’ve got some definite season 2 theories.

Just so you guys know, I think the first 3 episodes are the weakest of the show. For whatever reason as soon as episode 4 finished I binged the whole thing. Don’t know why but episode 4 onward hooked me

Yeah totally agree there! The back half is way better

1-3 did not work for me on so many levels. It's a show I should be into, but am losing interest in. It's tonally all over the place, telegraphs where the story is going and takes forever to get there, has random cameos that take me out of what's happening, etc. I'm surprised by how much praise it's getting-- not that it's poorly made, but some of the writing is bad. It being a video game show isn't enough for me to ignore that. At times it feels like the creators just wanted to appeal to fans of The Boys. I get that the tonal balance and ultra violence are part of the games, but it doesn't really work for me as a non-player. I don't even think it's as fun as it thinks it's being, if that makes sense.
