Daniel you should accept criticism seeing as you are the biggest critic in the ummah today. its ok to be wrong sometimes you know! it shows humility and your fans should also know that you are not a sheikh and have very little knowledge when it comes to complex issues of creed and sects. take the L and move on, unite with sheikh Uthman and Saajid Lipham on the Quran and sunnah with the understanding of the salaf before its too late and you turn into a full sufi or khawarij/shia. your work against the murjiah is good and we support it but enough of the bitterness you have against Muslim brothers on the haqq.

Criticizing a ruler is a different story, because ruler has power. And if you don't criticize them correctly, people will revolt and only chaos and bloodshed it will bring. It's counterproductive.

I personally thought Daniel was extremely patient for being called out like that. On top of that, sheik Uthman is not in charge of interrogating Muslims like that. I felt bad for sheik Karim. He made a statement saying, paraphrasing here "I have been following Daniel, and he never made a mistake on his speech." During the interrogation of Daniel, one of the Sheikhs on the panel said “you have to obey the ruler even he makes Zina halal”. Why hasn’t Uthman or any other Salafi corrected the Sheikh? His statement goes against the aqeedah of ahlul sunnah. Funny how mr Aqeedah aka Uthman ignored this.

@@namakubento9276 Mosa Peace be Upon Him is a Prophet of Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala. Prophets are held to a much higher standard than other humans. If someone held a knife to your neck telling you to say you are a kafir, you are allowed to say it because Allah knows what is in the heart. A prophet of Allah on the other hand is not allowed to say it because they are the ones we follow and abide by. Some of the Ulama' have said that if you are a alim or someone that is followed, such as Ahmed ibn Hanbal may Allah have mercy on him, then you shouldn't give in. Much like what happened in the fitna of the creation of the Quran where Ahmed ibn Hanbal was tortured Infront of the people to say that the Quran was created but he never did (He also never cursed Almamoun who was the amir at the time). In this case Almamoun was spreading Kufr yet Ahmed ibn Hanbal never called him a Kafir or cursed him. There is a way to advise a leader and there are many Hadiths regarding this issue. Even Musa (Peace be Upon Him) went to Pharoah and talked to him rather than talk to the people of Pharoah.

E.g., Uthman says "we spoke in private" and DH said "we never spoke in private"..this is a complete opposite statement and only one can be true. Shaykh Uthman said Shaykh Karim told him it was agreed upon and you can see in the video Uthman said he wasnt planning it and tapped Karim and said Karim thought it was a good idea. Karim literally did most of the intense 1 on 1 grilling and made him take some sort or "athari shahada" yet everyone is asking Uthman and blaming him. It makes no sense.

It's clear what he said wasn't true but It doesn't seem that there is any beef between them so he has no reason to lie like that. It's probably just a memory mistake since Uthman has been to many events and travelled to many different places since then so maybe things just got mixed up for him. Ahmad Ibn Hanbal said: “It is not permissible for anyone among the people to fight the ruler and nor to rise up against him. And whosoever does that is an innovator, upon other than the Sunnah and upon other than the Straight Path.” ( Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Usūlus-Sunnah, recorded in Sharhu Usūlil-I’tiqād of Al-Lālikā’ee 1/161) Prophet (ﷺ) said: "You are obligated to listen to the ruler and obey him in times of ease and in times of hardship, whether you are pleased or displeased and even when another person is given preference over you (while you were more deserving)." (Sahih Muslim 1836) Prophet (ﷺ) said: "You will see after me severe preferential treatment (to those less deserving than you), so be patient until you meet Allah and you meet His Messenger at the drinking lake (Al-Hawd).” So they responded, “We shall be patient." (Sahih Muslim 1059) In the wording reported by Al-Bukhāri (2377) Anas added: “But we (i.e. some of the Muslims) were not patient.” So this is proof that those who were not able to be patient, were mistaken in their judgement because the truth is what Allah’s Messenger commanded with. Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Listen to the ruler and obey him when it is hard for you and when it is easy for you, whether you are pleased or displeased, and when others are given preference over you, and even when they consume your wealth and beat your back.” (Ibn Abī ‘Āsim reported in As-Sunnah (1026) and Ibn Hibbān in his Sahīh (4062)). Shaikh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah’s mercy be upon him) said: “Being patient with the tyranny of the rulers is a fundamental principle (asl) from the fundamentals of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā’ah.” (Majmoo’ Al-Fatāwa 28/179) Ibn Abī ‘Āsim reported in As-Sunnah (2/508) from ‘Adiyy Ibn Hātim (may Allah be pleased with him) that we said: “O Messenger of Allah, we do not ask you regarding obedience to the ruler who has taqwā (who is pious and who fears Allah), and is good and rectifies. Rather, we are asking about the ruler who does such-and-such and such-and-such?“ And he mentioned their evil traits. So the Prophet (ﷺ) answered: “Fear Allah! Listen to the ruler and obey him.” (Also reported by At-Tabarāni in Al-Kabīr, 17/101, and authenticated by Al-Albāni in Dhilāl Al-Jannah) Al-Hasan narrated saying: Allah’s Messenger mentioned the rulers and the evil rulers, the leaders and the evil leaders. He mentioned that the misguidance and deviation of some of them will fill what is between the sky and the earth! So he was asked: “O Messenger of Allah, should we not strike them with the sword??” He replied: “No. So long as they the pray the prayer, then no.” (Reported by Al-Imām Nu’aym Ibn Hammād (died 239H) in Kitāb Al-Fitan, 1/185, no. 491)

In the clip, shiekh uthman suggested that critiquing Halloween can lead to bloodshed. I don't understand the jump. It's like saying eating weetabix leads to bloodshed, because wheat comes from farmers who use might get angry and kill u if u don't pay enough for the wheat. It's such a wierd argument to make and a form of gaslighting the daee suggesting calling to goodness is in fact evil.
first want to say I mainly agree with brother Daniel in all this. I do.However...I don't think it was necessary for brother Daniel to make this video. Let me explain. Sheikh Uthman said these things in a podcast...NOT his channel. Therefore, I don't think it's fruitful for brother Daniel to make a whole video about something that happened so long ago and something Uthman is speaking to someone else about. I also think it's MORE of a fault for Skeikh Uthman actually to even to bring it up. Definitely when you consider he put brother Daniel on the spot back on that conference. If Uthman had put this video out on his chanel then I DO think it would have been appropriate for brother Daniel to respond. At the end of the day, brother Daniel had his reasons for making this video so I cannot say he definitely should not have made it. I simply don't think it was really necessary imo. When I seen that conference, I immediately felt Othmans behavior was distasteful and rude. He was trying to lil bro Daniel, when in reality uthman can’t read Quran properly. Daniel handled himself with wisdom and grace and it showed.

Out of all the Muslim preachers/ dawaher/ TH-camrs. My favourite 2 are brother Daniel and brother uthmon Farooq. Daniel calls out the B.s in political Islam (ruler worshipers) and Othman really makes the non Muslims speechless. They compliment/ complete each other. Very heart breaking and hurtful to see satans effort in splitting them up (fitnah between them) I would literally do ANYTHING to see them shake hands together and unite for the sake of the ummah

Im assuming the confusion occurred when shiekh karim notified shiekh uthman that Brother daniel would like to clarify some things publicly. Maybe he didn't specify that daniel wanted to address particularly his stance on public critique of the rulers, and uthmaan thought he wanted to clarify all misconceptions. Allah knows best. May Allah ﷻ unite all our hearts to what pleases him, ameen.
I love both the brothers for the sake of Allah. I met them at the AIM conference in New Jersey around this time last year. I truly hope this is just a small misunderstanding and it gets cleared soon.

Brother Uthman seems to have gone off track. I was shocked at that event as he had always handled everything privately and I always respected him for that. This event changed that for me. Also, he's clearly aggravated in his discussion with brother Dilly when this topic is raised.
I would say, I was displeased that day, when they interrogate you just like that on stage in the masjid and then video been shared online like that. They could have done this in private setting and then with your permission to come out and explain in public in an online zoom call. Zoom / Live stream would have been better and even that should be done like a interview style like this brother is doing with ash. Uthman and not in an integration manner. Rather then bringing you on stage and interrogate you in such a manner, as if they are Qudha’a (Judges) of Muslim Ummah. They themselves are Da’aee Just like you are or anybody else., they don’t have authority over you neither anybody else over any Muslim. Why they don’t do this with Mufti Menk, Yasir Qadhi, Omer Suleiman etc.

As Brother said, this was a 9 month old event, and it has just been resurfaced. If Sh. Uthman feels that he still need clarification, and then they both should come face to face online and close this matter once for al instead of going back and forth. @@namakubento9276 Mosa Peace be Upon Him is a Prophet of Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala. Prophets are held to a much higher standard than other humans. If someone held a knife to your neck telling you to say you are a kafir, you are allowed to say it because Allah knows what is in the heart. A prophet of Allah on the other hand is not allowed to say it because they are the ones we follow and abide by. Some of the Ulama' have said that if you are a alim or someone that is followed, such as Ahmed ibn Hanbal may Allah have mercy on him, then you shouldn't give in. Much like what happened in the fitna of the creation of the Quran where Ahmed ibn Hanbal was tortured Infront of the people to say that the Quran was created but he never did (He also never cursed Almamoun who was the amir at the time).
In this case Almamoun was spreading Kufr yet Ahmed ibn Hanbal never called him a Kafir or cursed him. There is a way to advise a leader and there are many Hadiths regarding this issue. Even Musa (Peace be Upon Him) went to Pharoah and talked to him rather than talk to the people of Pharoah.

E.g., Uthman says "we spoke in private" and DH said "we never spoke in private"..this is a complete opposite statement and only one can be true. Shaykh Uthman said Shaykh Karim told him it was agreed upon and you can see in the video Uthman said he wasnt planning it and tapped Karim and said Karim thought it was a good idea. Karim literally did most of the intense 1 on 1 grilling and made him take some sort or "athari shahada" yet everyone is asking Uthman and blaming him. It makes no sense.

Ibn Abī ‘Āsim reported in As-Sunnah (2/508) from ‘Adiyy Ibn Hātim (may Allah be pleased with him) that we said: “O Messenger of Allah, we do not ask you regarding obedience to the ruler who has taqwā (who is pious and who fears Allah), and is good and rectifies. Rather, we are asking about the ruler who does such-and-such and such-and-such?“ And he mentioned their evil traits. So the Prophet (ﷺ) answered: “Fear Allah! Listen to the ruler and obey him.” (Also reported by At-Tabarāni in Al-Kabīr, 17/101, and authenticated by Al-Albāni in Dhilāl Al-Jannah)
Al-Hasan narrated saying: Allah’s Messenger mentioned the rulers and the evil rulers, the leaders and the evil leaders. He mentioned that the misguidance and deviation of some of them will fill what is between the sky and the earth! So he was asked: “O Messenger of Allah, should we not strike them with the sword??” He replied: “No. So long as they the pray the prayer, then no.” (Reported by Al-Imām Nu’aym Ibn Hammād (died 239H) in Kitāb Al-Fitan, 1/185, no. 491)

I also think it's MORE of a fault for Skeikh Uthman actually to even to bring it up. Definitely when you consider he put brother Daniel on the spot back on that conference. If Uthman had put this video out on his chanel then I DO think it would have been appropriate for brother Daniel to respond.

Im assuming the confusion occurred when shiekh karim notified shiekh uthman that Brother daniel would like to clarify some things publicly. Maybe he didn't specify that daniel wanted to address particularly his stance on public critique of the rulers, and uthmaan thought he wanted to clarify all misconceptions. Allah knows best. I love both the brothers for the sake of Allah. I met them at the AIM conference in New Jersey around this time last year. I truly hope this is just a small misunderstanding and it gets cleared soon.

I would say, I was displeased that day, when they interrogate you just like that on stage in the masjid and then video been shared online like that.
They could have done this in private setting and then with your permission to come out and explain in public in an online zoom call. Zoom / Live stream would have been better and even that should be done like a interview style like this brother is doing with ash. Uthman and not in an integration manner. Rather then bringing you on stage and interrogate you in such a manner, as if they are Qudha’a (Judges) of Muslim Ummah. They themselves are Da’aee Just like you are or anybody else., they don’t have authority over you neither anybody else over any Muslim. Why they don’t do this with Mufti Menk, Yasir Qadhi, Omer Suleiman etc.

Uthman feels that he still need clarification, and then they both should come face to face online and close this matter once for al instead of going back and forth. We don't want shaitan to come between our brothers. we love both our brothers, and their dawah is emensely appreciated.

Watching anime in general is already a sin because music is haram, but when the anime contains shirk, that's even more haram.

@@loveyoux502 Unfortunately for anime fans, music is only a small part why Anime is haram, the real reason why anime is haram is because we're not allowed to draw living beings or supporting the image-makers, and also the story' in anime are based on shirk which is a major sin in Islam and also magic, lies, zina, gambling, violence.

Haven't you read the Qur'an? Go read Chapter Luqman verse 6, anime is one of the ''Lahwal Hadits'' which means amusement of speech to misguide people to remember Allah, when you watch anime, do you feel closer to Allah?

I'm not here to convince you. Just making an observation. Who is bigger is not relevant to the point I made. If you can, just think a little harder. Maybe read the comments. You can see a ton of ppl below commenting that they listen to DH and Shk. Uthman, or that they love both. The point is that their audiences overlap.
Disrespect someone your audience already dislikes, and they will just applaud you as they typically do. But bring that same energy against someone your audience may like more than you? That's risky.

We love you brother Daniel, brother Uthman bin Farooq and all of you out there sincerely doing Da'wah work fighting evil, atheism and all the isms of our times, raising awareness against corruption in our land and calling people to come back to our Deen. May Allah reward you all immensely and grant you Jannat Al Firdous for your sincere efforts. In the end, none of us can all agree 100% on all masa'el issues in Fiqh as there are different schools of thought, but nonetheless we are all on the same page in terms of Aqeedah al Hamdulillah.

Uthman bin Farooq is a big time hypocrite. He has been challenged many times by the Deobandi Ulama in person to come out and debate or show about the beliefs he claims Deobandis have. He ran away stating he's just a student, yet when he got a chance, he ambushed brother Daniel with the same statements again.
