This race had winter, summer and fall seasons all in one. Watched all 41 minutes in awe of literally everything. Shoutout to that bike for holding up as well.
I luv using this video on my exercise bike. I’m 70 and only cycle at about 10mph, but with this video I feel like I’m young again and flying. Thanks a bunch. After using it again today, I realise that I also luv the original sound of the wheels on the different surfaces and you panting. It makes the whole thing so immersive. I feel that it’s me racing and I even shout at the riders to get out my way.
Dude, the guy who came in first place was racing like death itself was chasing him. That was a dogfight if ever I saw one. Mad props to you and the winner.
This gives an appreciation for how big the world is. 40 minutes of fast-as-you-can-go professional biking downhill, and you get most of the way down a single mountain.
The sight of the riders at 0:54 not making that turn and practically toppling on top of each other looks like something out of a comedy/action movie. Especially since Kilian skillfully rides right on past. Epic!
I wanted to put this on my bucket list to do one day thinking it was all down hill and in snow......sometime through the video i said 😦😶🫣. Id pull over and curl up into a ball on the first uphill to die 😂😂😂
Watch 0:53 to see the Kilian Bron’s experience. There's a good reason why it's on the right. He predicted that the other racers would not be able to control their speed and would collapse there. And he just watched them and continued his race. Here is experience and quality 👌
You can also see others who tried to go for a similar line but just couldn't keep it. Which makes Kilian holding to the right there even more impressive.
You can see Kilian slowing down well in advance, in order to be able to keep that specific line. The other guys were just too fast to avoid the crash. That's really great foresight there, overtaking about ten riders by slowing down earlier/more than anyone else.

I thought for sure "we" (Kilian and all of us watching lol) would catch #1 after getting so close at 20:13.... but then, slowly - brutally - that guy just disappeared. And that says something, given how uber fast Kilian is. Excellent race brother, and thank you for this great video! Next year!!
Once they got into the trail at 21:00 I figured he was gonna catch him there for sure. Guy just pours it on and disappears. His trail reading skills and bike control must be insane. And I thought killian was good!
It seemed to me that Kilian maxed out on that climb, reaching the limit. The other guy was just under the limit and he was able to accelerate once they started going downhill again while Kilian had to recover. So close, he was within 2 seconds.
Killian you have me hooked. Amazing to see that a raw nature route down the mountain, through the forest, obstacle (as I call them) can be found. Amazing trip!
Kili I am amazed at your patience and expert timing. I have realized by watching you ride that these are necessary skills. Congratulations on 2nd, you almost had that guy!

As a downhill racer going down similar slopes in the depth of winter going faster than you can go, I was looking as far ahead of "our" track to anticipate our path. I missed it a few times going through the dense trees with the shadows and bright sun spots. I was keeping track of the riders ahead of you and you were about 8-10 sec behind #2. Then you moved into the #2 position, good timing on the pass! I thought you might pass #1 you stayed about 4-8 seconds behind him, both top athletes. I was leaning, turning, braking, standing out of the saddle pedaling like crazy and moving around on "our" bike the whole 40 minutes, I just wasn't breathing quite as hard. Excellent ride!

Just like perpetual anxiety through this whole ride. I'm really into downhill cross country mtb but this is way beyond my experience. Exceptionally interesting, effing killing it. Keep up the adrenaline
So close you could taste it. Was killing me seeing him in front the whole way down. Great job mate.
Images incroyables, sensations incroyables, course incroyable, maitrise incroyable !!

Thought the trees! Wow!! When is this sport going to the Olympics?! It’s riveting!!
Thank you Kilian for these videos every year. I've waited two years for this and again, you're the king of "Mountain of Hell" and even got second place this time. Next year, the title is yours. I can feel it ;)
;)

"It was not a competition! It was a fight for the first place - 100% ! I could feel the tension every minute. thank you for the presented emotions. Victories in the future!"
I got sidetracked while watching this and ended up just listening to this guy breathe for several minutes while working on something else. It was the concern in the voice of the spectator at 34:35 that brought me back into focus. Amazing athlete!
Wow thank you for a wonderful ride. This was magnificent, glad I watched it as that is the only way I would experience such a race. Fabulous job! You are the winner in my book!
This has to be one of the most captivating videos I've seen in a long time! Way to go. Such beauty of that mountain, and amazing bike ride! Wow!
This is so cool! I've never seen anything like this before, would love to try it. I love how it starts in the snow and soon enough you're in the greenery
You took a full 5 seconds out of him in that climb that begins around the 19:04 mark, from an 8-second gap down to 3 - and I thought you were gonna get him - but then he put 6 seconds back into you on the next descent, and extended from there. Great race!
Yup
The first guy simply had the better techique and could not be beaten descending.
Uphill however he lost some foot.
@@SaithMasu12 he probably kept his stamina steady rather than rage uphill, where you will loose a lot of energy fighting gravity plus your own weight. it is a marathon not a 100m sprint....
Amazing effort, was great to ride it with you.
I had to shut my eyes and got a head ache just watching some of those close calls and crazy, steep and jig back grooved paths.
Quelle spectacle !!! C'est vraiement Incroyable !
That is one vicious terrain!!!!! And these guys cardio level is off the chain!!!
Not only does this take great skill & stamina... it takes guts! There's no way I could sail over those drop offs at top speed!
The sheer amount of riders that thought they could clear the first turn with that much speed is immense😂
Absolutely thrilling! Thank you for taking us all with you on this spectacular ride!
The guy that finished first must have been possessed. No idea how he withstood the chase by Kilian. Those guys are absolutely insane.
One last comment. I really liked the sound of your breathing. It was surreal being really the only sound as you were flying down the course. It made me feel like I was in virtual reality. I think any mountain bike video or virtual reality game should have the breathing added to the soundtrack. I was riding with you the whole way in mind. It was so mesmerizing!
Reminded me of scenes from space odyssey
2:52 , énorme contrôle !
20:00 great job on this part for not giving up!
The Helicopter Pilot has his own fun :P
My thighs exploded just by watching this video. Thank you
Fantastically fun to watch. Great race, congrats.
