I'm so glad you're back on your channel. I like when you and Melinda. Share togethere and when you share.
When I had my son, I have A disability and the lady and ozville walked in The room and sare you ready to sign the papers? And I said excuse me, and she said, yeah, most people in your condition give their children away, and unlike that's not happening. I'm sorry, but that's not happening. And he has been the best thing in my life. It has been wonderful.
Children are a gift from God. I truly believe that.😊

Glad you're doing much better now. I have seen Jane the Virgin. I love that series also. I was the same way with both my kids. Wanted to know where they were at all times. I had two c sections 5 years apart and the experience was different. Same hospital. I felt like the first time they were nicer and the second time it was fend for myself. The first time they loaded us up with stuff and the second time they barely gave us anything we had to bring stuff from home.
You're a great person and mom. There are so many parents you wonder about what they are thinking so it's a good thing that they have a video for parents. I don't think it should matter how old you are. There's some parents who need to watch daily lol.
You are right there are parts of my first labor that I forgot. You get so caught up in everything else.
I tried to breast feed both babies. My son's lactation consultant totally understood understood and didn't push me which I appreciated. My daughter's lactation consultant was mean and made me feel bad because I couldn't breastfeed. She wanted to push me and wanted my daughter to starve and refused to give me formula until I tried for 4 hours. I was so upset finally I kicked her out and fired her from being anywhere near my room or baby. The nurses finally brought me formula. That was a traumatic experience because of how that lactation consultant handled the situation. It caused me to not want to have anything to do with breastfeeding.

I actually like that you didn't post all this during the pregancy and after the birth. You had time to think about it. The less enjoyable things are further away and maybe stress you out less. Now that it's been awhile, it's maybe easier to share.❤
By the way, I am around your age and watched you grow up and I am really happy to see the person you've become and the journey you are on. Greetings from Germany😊

Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Not to find excuses for the (para)medics, but Covid time was certainly as hard for them as well.(E.g.not knowing how to order food from hospital kitchen.)
But I totally understand your panic and concern.
I'm glad though that Bexley's birth is becoming an extraordinary event on your timeline😊
As for myself, after two miscarriages, I had my only child, a daughter in 1978.
As she turned in the 8th month of pregnancy into breech position, I needed a C-section.
In spite of the anxiety, the feeling of missing out on vaginal birth and not being the first to see/hold her, I'm grateful Universe graced me with a baby.

Girl, becoming a mom was supposed to be your era 🤷🏼‍♀️💯 There's tons of couples that end up together & then they split & co parent. Just please 🙏🏻 from a child from a broken home (I've heard your story also I know you have also, just be careful & watch your mouth about eachother around Bex) I know it sucks to bite your tongue & say what you wanna say but it'll be so worth it when she says, I've never heard my parents badmouth eachother 🤷🏼‍♀️ especially in her generation where most kids are raised by their grandparents.

Hi Lacey I have had two kids my 1st one was a traumatic one 3 weeks early I lost my mucus plug. I went in and they checked me my blood pressure was super high so they decided to induce me my daughter was ready in the birthing person. This was two days before she was born. They gave me Pitocin to induce my labor all looked good and I progressed slowly by morning I was dialed to 5 and my water hadn’t broken yet so they broke it. It took over 18 hours for me to get to a 8 then finally a 9 my daughter ended up going into fetal distress and her heat rate ended up dropping fast so we ended up having to go in for a emergency cesarean and a little bit later she was born just shortly after 48 hours from them inducing me. My son was a breeze he was a pland cesarean.

It’s crazy because I thought Bex was younger than my son. I think it was because of when your posts were made, I thought you were weeks/months behind me in pregnancy. Turns out she’s several weeks older! Lol I can’t believe it’s been two years 🥹

I can relate to your feeling when Bexley was born because I actually loathed being pregnant. I think it looks gross, feels terrible & pregnant women should just be put on an island somewhere to be pampered, away from everyone else, until delivery. As soon as each of my children were born, I remember saying to myself & even out loud once, "I'm not pregnant anymore!" & it was hysterically funny. I felt SO good to have the baby out of me but in my arms ❤🥰❤.
I loved delivering babies and immediately after but I had NO support at home. My mother never came to help with the babies or to take care of me or let me rest. She just got her fill of the baby & left. My husband, at the time, was okay enough with the babies but never took care of me. Didn't clean the house, cook for me, or make it quiet to sleep, so I agree with you saying that the universe owed me an easy delivery, too.
I know that I will be much more supportive when my children have babies or if I have anyone else that I love has a baby, I'll do (probably too much) whatever I can for them.
I wish I had siblings or reliable, good people like you do, Lacey. Your Mom becoming a doula to be there with you is just so beautiful.
You are very Blessed to have the support that you do. The people who have you in their corner are just as lucky❣️
Happy 2nd year of becoming a Mom & happy birthday to your beautiful little Bexley 🎉🥳

the epidural scared me so BAD...i have never had someone explain exactly how i felt but you did it perfect. i felt trapped and i was sweating so bad i truly dont think i will get it again unless the contractions get bad. i also got mine at 5 cm (the contractions werent that bad at 5cm) bc they told me it would take forever to get it and they were in my room within 30 mins of me saying i wanted it.

I have to say my birth experience was awesome all the around and the nurses were great. My little man was born at 1:35 am after pushing for a hour and a half. For the most part I was up for almost 2 days from start to finish including after ad I was so excited and all I wanted to do was hold him and stare at him. The night after he was born it took 3 nursed to convince me to let him go to the nursery for the night as I had not slept in over 36 hours and was going home early the next morning and the said I needed to sleep!! I gave in and fell sleep right after dinner and was OUT for almost 12 hours! I mean knocked out!! I learned my nurses put a note on the door and said do not wake unless absolutely necessary. LOL!! Anyway…with your story I would have requested a new nurse (you can do that and have for my mothers care) after telling her to chill as I just had a baby and your stay is paying her next months worth of paychecks! LOL!! You are good girl!

Your lactation Consiltant was supposed to talk you thru what she was doing and get consent - I would be mortified

Love seeing you back on here! Thank you for sharing your story!! So interesting to hear other birth stories! I was having Braxton Hicks since 24 weeks so I feel ya !! I never knew when it was “ time “ and I didn’t wanna be annoying to go to er so I went just twice! I was also 7cm for 2 weeks! And then Finally went in labor at 4am and had to do natural birth… I was allergic to the epidural and tbh I loved how everything turned out with me doing it natural. They broke my water at 8cm and then was pushing at 10cm! And I only pushed 5 times and babygirl was out!! Everyone there was so nice and helping me thru it that tbh I didn’t feel any pain at all. Tbh to me the contractions felt like Charlit horses lol I had my contractions in my thigh, like in the back of it. Odd spot too lol. N my midwife let me pull my baby out! It was amazing experience. But girl after like two days later girl my body felt like I had a buss hit me lol. My bones and muscles hurt so much lmao. But anyways I’m so happy you had a good experience overal!! She getting so big so fast!! You’re an amazing mama!! So nice to see you back on here!! 😊

I’ve had 5 . The first 4 I was in twilight sleep & was induced. My last 1 I had an epidural & had 5 vials of medication in the tube, plus I was induced. It took all day to have him. I remember everything about those births. I was induced because I couldn’t feel the contractions & so my babies wouldn’t be to big for delivery. My doctor delivered all my babies & knew what I could endure & did not let me go over my due date.

24:02 I had my third baby 6 months ago. Best part was seeing him for the first time. Hardiest part is I have to get induced with him unlike my other two sons. I had caesarean section with my oldest son because I wasnt dilated enough after 11 hours and doctor said he's ready to come and he's close to getting distressed so I have to have cesarean section. My second son and youngest son was varginal birth.I'm so happy that you are able to post and you both are doing great ❤

Sorry you had a not so nice nurse, they're not all bad. Mine saved me from the doctor cutting me open, my son wasnt lined up right my waters wasnt broke an he was stuck...while the doctor was talking to the nurse, the midwife slipped 2 fingers in, unwedged my son an he popped out in his full sack like a water bomb, she said thats a sign of luck ❤ I sure felt lucky 😂 no cuts no thanks😅 ❤

I had 3 pregnancies and developed Cholestasis with all of them and had to be induced . My easiest hospital stay was my middle baby. My hardest pregnancy was my middle baby because I had just tested positive for Covid at the same time I had developed Cholestasis! I was so itchy and remember gripping my hairbrush as hard as I could at night because I was that itchy! It was so miserable!! Emotional wise I was an emotional wreck with my oldest 😂 The 3rd day after birth was the days I cried all day. My oldest will be 5 in February, my middle will be 3 in April and my youngest she just turned 1 in December. They are my itchy babies! I definitely feel like I have so much in common with you because I am the same way, reading everything so I’m informed about any and all situations lol😂❤

😂 My first 3, I had epidural, spinal block (hips down), epidural. #4 came too fast and they couldn't do ANYTHING, not even a local (😬 don't ask). HHHHALE TO THA NOPE! Don't do drug free. I thought my whole 👇🏻 had ripped off! Not to mention when they push on your tummy after, to make sure things keep moving out of your body, was the most painful thing ever!!!
NOOOOO the nurse grabbed me too!! I almost freaking flipped out. I was like welp what's your name again? And who owes who dinner? 😬

Your explanation is everything, sis. I literally was screaming, "Don't try out Laceyyyyy". I had an epidural with my 3rd but it was already reversed after he was out and then there were some complications that required the midwife, nurses and eventually the registrar in charge to take turns pumping my extremely sore and tender stomach while whole fists where going in down there 👇 to bring out clots of blood that were not flowing out. It felt like my life was flashing before my eyes, I'm convinced I died for a few moments because I was screaming and my hubby said they didn't hear anything. The pain was like nothing I have ever experienced or can describe. I was traumatised and never doing that again. 😢😢😢

      @@PrincesseSophieAtinuke SHUP UP ME TOO!!
The scariest and most painful time of my life! The nurse told my baby daddy, he should probably bring the older kids in (they were 16, 14 & 7) to hug and kiss me. Then he needed to take them home and wait until they called him. They told me they couldn't stop the bleeding and asked if I wanted to call anyone. I never prayed so hard before or after that moment

I had two sections with my first I didn't have a choice I was in labour for 15 hours with my daughter when they found I couldn't bring her so they decided the best option for mainly the baby to do a section my second one with my son it was optional I chose to have one as I didn't want to go through the same thing again but after I'd given birth to him they said he was small and I could of delivered him and I must admit I was gutted that I didn't go through natural birth with him and when my daughter had her baby nearly 19 years ago I was at my granddaughters birth and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had as I was the first one to see her come out I think that's why me and my granddaughter have such a close bond

Hhheeyyy!! So, I too had two babies in covid. my first was in September 2020. And I was numb and couldn't feel a thing. My 2nd Feb 2023. But with my son in 2023, I had more control on my epidural which I didn't remember with my daughter in 2020 and I was able to lift my legs/ bump with my second. If no epidural is what you want it's fine. But express to your team your expectations. Cause I am one who wants to be in control and just take the edge off.

I also loved with my second I was able to feel the rush when they popped my water, that I was able to feel the plop when delivering. Though he was my second there were first. Like those sensations cause I did the bare minimum for pain and he latches on where my daughter had no interest so I pumped for 14 months with her.

Bexley and I have the same bday. I was born at 638 pm. I had my son 15 years ago at 35 weeks even with my water breaking at 232 am . Did 16 hours with no epidural then got it cause I couldn’t progress anymore and after 2 hours he finally came at 842 pm. They used a vacuum so I had a 3rd degree skid burn basically on the inside but no tears. I didn’t even know about ppd until my son was about 10 months old and I went psychotic basically cause my sister kept telling me they were going to take him away cause I didn’t have a crib and I lost it on her and threw my keys BUT my keys missed her and broke the hugest window in my apartment and at that exact moment my doctor had called me and when I said I threw my keys out the window they thought I said I threw my kid out the window cause I was beyond hysterical cause of my sister. Next thing I know the fire department an ambulance and tons of police show up at the apartment banging on the door which got me more freaked out then bam the social worker who was coming to close the case showed up at the exact moment. So I was taken to the hospital and this b*tch a** c*nt tried to get me to sign my rights away to give my son up for adoption BUT my doctor looked over the papers she gave me and he told her off big time and stood up for me thank the lord and told her the reason I went psychotic was cause of ppd and the medicine I was on was lithium and it was poisoning my blood. She gave my mom my son then she was mad at me cause my mom needed me to help with my son so I always woke up at 430 am and went to my moms (I wasn’t allowed to sleep there) and helped with him and took him to daycare with her etc etc and after 2 weeks she gave up and gave me my son back. I appealed my case and won and she was fired thankfully cause I wasn’t the first one she did that to. My pregnancy with my son was horrific and I actually didn’t know until I was about 6 months pregnant so there was no connection during the pregnancy or right after cause I was still in shock that this was happening and I was severely sick too from bleeding to nonstop vomiting and losing weight preterm labor contractions etc. he was 5 lbs 7.7 ounces. He’s my miracle son cause I was never suppose to get pregnant ever and never have been again since.

So when it’s done correctly, you should still be able to feel your lower body with an epidural. You just won’t feel all of the pain.
I gave birth in November 2021 at 33 weeks pregnant, and had to be induced because of preeclampsia. So my son is just a little bit older than Bexley. I could still feel my legs and move them. I could still feel my contractions. I could still feel when the baby was coming out I was just not in as much pain from the contractions.

I think there’s a thing called a walking epidural. I’ve never experienced it. I had an emergency c section at 30 weeks and had a spinal but maybe that’s an option if you ever have another baby.

My favourite moment was when they lifted him up so I could see him. He was all arms and legs out like a star fish and screaming bloody murder! Over here in Australia, they don't take them for a bath. You get to do it a day or two later. They usually get out straight onto your chest and stay there until they need to get clothes on to warm up.

I asked for my epidural and not even 2 minutes later the anesthesiologist was in the room, I was also on pitocin and my babies heart rate was dropping so they were coming in to prep me for a csection weather I asked for an epidural or not.

You can ask them to turn it off the epidural, they may give you push back, but you have that right to have them stop the epidural

You are lucky you couldn't move your legs with an epidural. With my first I was enduced. Had pitocin. Got epidural and only ended up working on half my body. Was never given the option for a 2nd one. Had an episode of baby heart decels. Nurses came running in and had to flip me on my side. My husband was told that if not progressing by 6pm the day she was born I would end up in c-section. She was born at 452 pm after being in labor for 36 hours. Pushed for 2 and half hours. I do remember that feeling when baby came out. I had an even bigger pressure release when my placenta came out. I did almost have to go for emergency surgery. My uterus wasn't clamping down and I was continuing to bleed. Had doctor all up in there doing manual compression. It was a scary 3 mins but finally stopped bleeding profusely. I had to have pitocin after delivery for 4 hours. My second child was way easier. Was enduced also. From time I had pitocin to time baby was out was 18 hours. Had epidural that worked to well. They turned off during pushing. No problems after.

I only had one..I knew never would I have another one. Everything went very wrong for me and baby. She lived. She was very early. 3 pounds 2 tenths then dropped weight as babies do after being born. So a few issues while she has a hospital stay. Then she couldn't come home until she hit the 5 pound club..that's what they called it. So I also had 2 boys in wheelchairs and so bringing them up to see her and taking turns. That was very hectic. So after a while she finally came home 5 pounds. I skipped allot but I don't want to scare new moms out there. I just knew I was not having another one. Before the girl I had I had a miscarriage about a year before.
