I: Angry, resentful and enraged II: More introspective, emotional and prehaps more positive III: Haunting, regretful and final 3 of my favorite pieces of music ever.
1997 a young 17 year old man was in a car accident and lost his life..His parents played this at his funeral ..Rip Jason Wayne Chute. Died way too young
remember what James always says : ARE YOU ALIIIIIIIVEE ARE YOU ALIIIIVVEEE?? YOU ARENT ALIVE UNTIL YOU DIIIEEEEEEE I think he refers to the part - where are we before we are born? We are going back to that place, which means this life is something of a game or a simulation or a learning space or maybe the new agers a correct or even the religious folk (I doubt it very much) So the real question science NEVER asks is - where are we before we are born? They try to scare us with atheism and the repetitive question "where do we go in the afterlife, is there an afterlife"?? The scientists are liars and want us to be afraid of the unknown. SOULS don't and can't die, its a transition
No matter how many times you hear theses songs always gives the chills, specially if it's been awhile that you don't hear it, simply amazing, really the best album ever.
I always thought that James' voice sounds so good and clean on Unforgiven I. Specially after the solo. It's incredible how all instruments sound so good together in the song... Perfectly tuned
@@markfromct2 I guess Bob Rock was the album producer, right? Incredible work, I still remember the first time i listened to unforgiven I. I was a kid on a bus going to school. The main riff was so catchy it got my heart pumping. truly amazing :D
The three songs are different stages of processing your trauma. The first when it's fresh, you can't forgive the pain you've been branded with. The second is when you're free and still hurting but others who don't want to hurt you come in and try to help. They choose not to judge you and most of all they give you the forgiveness in hurting them because they know you're hurt. You're both the unforgiven as it leads into the 3rd in which you're then aware of how your reactions to the idea of recovering and the reactions to pain have hurt others. You're then going down a path to forgive yourself of your own wrongs towards others and forgiving yourself for letting what happenes to you happen. 1. I cannot forgive them 2. We can understand and forgive each other but not ourselves 3. I begin to go down the path of fixing the parts I couldn't recognize and try to survive the shipwreck im in.
The best thing about Metallica is that every album sounds completely unique when compared to the rest. Megadeth is awesome and I love the band just as much as I love Metallica, but many of their albums sound similar and they sort of blend together. Metallica never released the "same" record twice and they weren't afraid to take risks regardless of whether it would be the popular choice.
Trevor B. I have the same issue AC/DC. One of their songs will come up on pandora and I'm not sure if I should shout PANAMA, TNT, PROBLEM CHILD, or BACK IN BLACK. Thunderstruck is pretty distinct though.
pentagonofpeople Yeah haha that's the same reason I have never been big on AC/DC, they have a metric shit ton of music and most of it is practically indistinguishable from the rest.
+Trevor B. Well said! They play such a wide variety of music also, so I don't think its possible to "hate" Metallica, they probably have a genre you like.
+Trevor B. You are right about metallica, but all megadeth albums sound completely different from each other. Megadeth took as many risks as Metallica, listen to Youthanasia/Cryptic Writings/Risk. At the end of the day, new megadeth owns metallica, listen to System has failed/United abominations/Endgame
Maverick Mustaine They took many new RISKs, pun intended? :) Well I respect your opinion, and it's a perfectly reasonable one--many people prefer 'deth over 'tallica.
Это настоящая музыка, это рок с мощным выражением своих чувств. Это не сладкая ниочемная попса. Данная песня заставляет задумываться о смысле жизни, а не существовать. Спасибо Металлика!
@tomstegers9146 "This is real music, that's Rock with powerful expression of feelings. That's no sweet senseless pop music. This song makes you think about the sense of life, not simply exist. Thank you Metallica!" - guy above.
Unforgiven 1: He tries to live life under abusive and harsh circumstances Unforgiven 2: He finds someone to love and be with but that person leaves Unforgiven 3: With nothing left in life he is corrupted by the thought of wealth and money thinking that it will wash away all his sorrows but in reality his life has fallen astray and he is lost more than ever and he cannot forgive himself.
00:00 The Unforgiven I The Unforgiven [Hetfield / Ulrich / Hammet] New blood joins this earth, And quickly he's subdued. Through constant pained disgrace The young boy learns their rules. With time the child draws in. This whipping boy done wrong. Deprived of all his thoughts The young man struggles on and on. He's known a vow unto his own, That never from this day His will they'll take away. What I've felt, What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown. Never be. Never see. Won't see what might have been. What I've felt, What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown. Never free. Never me. So I dub thee unforgiven. They dedicate their lives To running all of his. He tries to please them all - This bitter man he is. Throughout his life the same - He's battled constantly. This fight he cannot win - A tired man they see no longer cares. The old man then prepares To die regretfully - That old man here is me. What I've felt, What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown. Never be. Never see. Won't see what might have been. What I've felt, What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown. Never free. Never me. So I dub thee unforgiven. [Solo] What I've felt, What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown. Never be. Never see. Won't see what might have been. What I've felt, What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown. Never free. Never me. So I dub thee unforgiven. Never free. Never me. So I dub thee unforgiven. You labelled me, I'll label you. So I dub thee unforgiven. Never free. Never me. So I dub thee unforgiven. You labelled me, I'll label you. So I dub thee unforgiven. Never free. Never me. So I dub thee unforgiven. 06:36 The Unforgiven II The Unforgiven II Lay beside me, tell me what they've done Speak the words I wanna hear, to make my demons run The door is locked now, but it's open if you're true If you can understand the me, than I can understand the you Lay beside me, under wicked sky The black of day, dark of night, we share this paralyze The door cracks open, but there's no sun shining through Black heart scarring darker still, but there's no sun shining through No, there's no sun shining through No, there's no sun shining... What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you.... What I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? Come lay beside me, this won't hurt I swear She loves me not, she loves me still, but she'll never love again She lay beside me, but she'll be there when I'm gone Black heart scarring darker still, yes she'll be there when I'm gone Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone Dead sure she'll be there... What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you.... What I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? [Solo] Lay beside me, tell me what I've done The door is closed, so are your eyes But now I see the sun, now I see the sun Yes, now I see it What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you.... What I've felt, what I've known So sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits, The one who waits for you.... Oh what I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door, should I open it for you.... (So I dub thee unforgiven....) Oh, what I've felt.... Oh, what I've known.... I take this key (never free...) And I bury it (never me...) in you Because you're unforgiven too.... Never free.... Never me.... 'Cause you're unforgiven too.... Oh 13:04 The Unforgiven III The Unforgiven III How could he know this new dawn's light Would change his life forever? Set sail to sea but pulled off course By the light of golden treasure Was he the one causing pain With his careless dreaming? Been afraid, always afraid Of the things he's feeling He could just be gone He would just sail on He'll just sail on [Chorus:] How can I be lost If I've got nowhere to go? Searched for seas of gold How come it's got so cold? How can I be lost? In remembrance I relive How can I blame you When it's me I can't forgive? These days drift on inside a fog It's thick and suffocating This sinking life outside its hell Inside intoxicating He's run aground like his life Water's much too shallow Slipping fast down with the ship Fading in the shadows now Now a castaway They've all gone away. They've gone away. [Chorus] Forgive me, forgive me not Forgive me, forgive me not Forgive me, forgive me not Forgive me, forgive me, Why can't I forgive me? Set sail to sea but pulled off course By the light of golden treasure How could he know this new dawn's light Would change his life forever? [Chorus]
Who cares if James Hetfield and Lars don't have long hair anymore. And who cares if they don't sound like their earlier albums. They have a right to be who they want to be. Besides, they still kick ass.
+RossieMarrie everyone wants that Metallica sounds like mop álbum forever. Damn all of you guys! Would you be the same person forever? Would you never change your thoughts?
Honestly I still can't embrace part 3. It's got a beautiful intro but the song itself just doesn't seem to fit with the other 2 parts. I'd have loved if it had a few more musical similarities.
Unforgiven 4 - I can't forgive my PC Unforgiven 5 - I can't forgive my Guitar Unforgiven 6 - I can't forgive my dick Unforgiven 7 - I can't forgive my Metal Unforgiven 8 - I can't forgive my Sex :D
I'm old, I remember "Nothing Else Matters" on the radio in the early 90's. That was the only time I ever heard Metallica. Fake news, it's like they were trying to hide Metalica. It is a pleasant surprise to hear such a genius rock band in my old a age. A genius that I didn't know existed.
I actually can't put them in an order, they are all equal, but creds to Unforgiven 3 (along with all nightmare long and cyanide) for making Metallica good again, I love death magnetic
@@ThierryRocksTV Yeah the Black album was good, Load and Reload were fun, but not even close to their previous work. I very much enjoy the more melodic vocals, and better production value overall. But those things are very personal, not only related to taste but also to nostalgia, and how you started enjoying the band. For me Justice is great as it was the album that got me into them in the 90s, but I do understand why people dislike it, although people tend to be overly dramatic sometimes. When it comes to the new stuff, the good thing is Death Magnetic was not a rehash of the old formula but was the result of separating the good from the bad from the darker years while keeping part of what they had in the earlier days, innovative without throwing the baby with the bathwater.
This works great listening to it as a sort of trilogy, with the same general theme throughout the entire thing and they feel like an overlapping story, even though they can be listened to separately. All three are great songs as well!
Man when I get in a funk I always come and listen to this , I’m happy to be a part of the Metallica family so glad I got to see them in Alabama last year was one of the best moments of my life so far
+ccrosbie33 truth in that. i like 2 more then i thought back then. but 1 is inded something special while the others are 'just' amazing. Love Metallica btw ;)
I love all 3. Metallica is and probably will always be my favorite band. In more recent years the "sell out sound" albums have really grown on me. Also Garage Inc. is terribly underrated IMHO.

Escuchen atentamente en el minuto 12:17 en The Unforgiven II, se escucha el arreglo de guitarra de The Unforgiven I de fondo!
Let's rock!!!
What a trilogy. I feel the pain. Go thru the struggle. Success can't hide the pain. It doesn't define you.. It's the simple things in life !!! I don't know his pain. His lifestyle. We all have our own 🙏🙏🙏
Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known (Unforgiven 1) But now I see the sun, now I see the sun Yes, now I see it (Unforgiven 2) How can I be lost If I've got nowhere to go? (Unforgiven 3)
Unforgiven 1 - My early teen years: It's all THEIR fault Unforgiven 2 - My late teen years: It's all HER fault Unforgiven 3 - My late 20s: IT IS ALL MY FAULT...
I have always liked Metallica in general, and I have always considered all 3 of these songs as fantastic. But when I listen to the first one it always conveys many more emotions to me than the other 2
Metallica Thank You! You Are Great Band in The World All the Time! Низкий вам поклон Ребята! Желаю каждому из вас Доброго Здравия и Благополучия! Свидимся!
As I listen to this in 2022 what comes to my mind is, what the hell has happened to real music? I am so privileged to be growing up in the era of the best music EVER made! Still sends chills down my spine.
Every generation believes its music to be the best, and that all the music before or since is substandard. Of all those generations, is yours alone right?
In my opinion the best The Unforgiven track is The Unforgiven II - The Reload album. But the others are great songs too. Ranked - Top of Metallica The Unforgiven track: 1°) The Unforgiven II - It's epic. 2°) The Unforgiven - It's Classic. 3°) The Unforgiven III - It's Fantastic.
Ricky II This is what separates Metallica from Slayer, Megadeath, etc. and classifies them as greatness. They take risks and pull from their influences and their roots. If they did something influenced by bluegrass, opera, or Zydeco I would love them that much more.

One day I say "OK, first one is the best" and then I go "Second is the best!" and then the third... But this doubt shows us that Metallica does such great songs that we can't even chose the best one.
Grew up with this band Metallica from 80s to present.Past and it it will always be the present for everyone and for those band who play and celebrate their legacy.Metallica is Iternity.
This song is one of my favorite Metallica songs. I get chills when I hear this song. Metallica is immortal and unbeatable. I love Metallica ❤️. Thank you 👍👏👏👏🌹🇨🇿

I just have to say I have a restless brain. However, this has always relaxed me and I fall asleep. Not anything wrong with the song, I just love it so much -I feel safe and just go off to dreamland. Peoples, minds always work in different ways especially when wanting sleep. This brings me back to great times at their concerts. Then, I can dream about that all over again.
I: Angry, resentful and enraged
II: More introspective, emotional and prehaps more positive
III: Haunting, regretful and final
3 of my favorite pieces of music ever.
It loops back as well. 1 is about the 'old man' then 3 is about being the end of it all. Its a Teufelskreis as the Germans would say. :)
Ricky II this is a teufelskreis. it kreises teufels.
MaulerAM werfs nebels too in its free time...
MaulerAM as a german i laughed really hard about it :D
The 3 stages of life :)
III is the most powerful.
I appreciate you putting them back to back to back.
Much love

adar cem lağap it's about the lead singer
I agree
I totally agree
so true!
the three of them.. just amazing, how they talk about different persons, but then they´re connected, just a masterpiece.
juanp lopez that is cuz it talk about them
The three songs are different stages of processing your trauma.
1. I cannot forgive them
2. We can understand and forgive each other but not ourselves
The Unforgiven I - Can't forgive them
The Unforgiven II - Can't forgive you
The Unforgiven III - Can't forgive myself
I have always thought he is talking about his mother in the first one.
yeah, I think so...
this f.. earth is just a small hell to another!
God, let me free from these prisons!
Unforgiven 1: He tries to live life under abusive and harsh circumstances Unforgiven 2: He finds someone to love and be with but that person leaves Unforgiven 3: With nothing left in life he is corrupted by the thought of wealth and money thinking that it will wash away all his sorrows but in reality his life has fallen astray and he is lost more than ever and he cannot forgive himself.
damn good breakdown.
I grew up listening The Unforgiven II with my father. I am still loving it! Just great.
probably the best one of the three.

00:00 The Unforgiven I
The Unforgiven
[Hetfield / Ulrich / Hammet]
New blood joins this earth,
And quickly he's subdued.
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules.
With time the child draws in.
This whipping boy done wrong.
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on.
He's known a vow unto his own,
That never from this day
His will they'll take away.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his.
He tries to please them all -
This bitter man he is.
Throughout his life the same -
He's battled constantly.
This fight he cannot win -
A tired man they see no longer cares.
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully -
That old man here is me.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.

06:36 The Unforgiven II
The Unforgiven II
Lay beside me, tell me what they've done
Speak the words I wanna hear, to make my demons run
The door is locked now, but it's open if you're true
If you can understand the me, than I can understand the you
Lay beside me, under wicked sky
The black of day, dark of night, we share this paralyze
The door cracks open, but there's no sun shining through
Black heart scarring darker still, but there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining...
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you....
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?
Come lay beside me, this won't hurt I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still, but she'll never love again
She lay beside me, but she'll be there when I'm gone
Black heart scarring darker still, yes she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Dead sure she'll be there...
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you....
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?

Lay beside me, tell me what I've done
The door is closed, so are your eyes
But now I see the sun, now I see the sun
Yes, now I see it
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you....
What I've felt, what I've known
So sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there, 'cause I'm the one who waits,
The one who waits for you....
Oh what I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you.... (So I dub thee unforgiven....)
Oh, what I've felt....
Oh, what I've known....
I take this key (never free...)
And I bury it (never me...) in you
Because you're unforgiven too....
Never free....
Never me....
'Cause you're unforgiven too....

13:04 The Unforgiven III
The Unforgiven III
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
Was he the one causing pain
With his careless dreaming?
Been afraid, always afraid
Of the things he's feeling
He could just be gone
He would just sail on
He'll just sail on
[Chorus:]
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Searched for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost?
In remembrance I relive
How can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
These days drift on inside a fog
It's thick and suffocating
This sinking life outside its hell
Inside intoxicating
He's run aground like his life
Water's much too shallow
Slipping fast down with the ship
Fading in the shadows now
Now a castaway
They've all gone away.
They've gone away.
[Chorus]
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me,
Why can't I forgive me?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
[Chorus]
Thank you 🙏

A life of struggle with addiction. James . May God bless you.
Who cares if James Hetfield and Lars don't have long hair anymore. And who cares if they don't sound like their earlier albums. They have a right to be who they want to be. Besides, they still kick ass.
+Mick D they'll be awesome even if they were bald, besides they have to evolve nothing stays the same through the years, right?
RossieMarrie Damn straight. It's their lives and families, not ours.
Well fuckin said, my friend! Metallica is life!
+RossieMarrie everyone wants that Metallica sounds like mop álbum forever. Damn all of you guys! Would you be the same person forever? Would you never change your thoughts?
Andre Luiz I agree, my friend. I like variety. ;)
I like listening to all three in order, it's like a single song released over the course of 17 years.
that shit hits different, hell yeah
I feel it is an evolution of the band itself. Each were released in different eras of the band's musical style.
Honestly I still can't embrace part 3. It's got a beautiful intro but the song itself just doesn't seem to fit with the other 2 parts. I'd have loved if it had a few more musical similarities.
Agreed

I'm old, I remember "Nothing Else Matters" on the radio in the early 90's. That was the only time I ever heard Metallica. Fake news, it's like they were trying to hide Metalica. It is a pleasant surprise to hear such a genius rock band in my old a age. A genius that I didn't know existed.
It’s a metal band i think though
METALLICA is one of the best metal hard rock hair bands of all time been listening to METALLICA since I was 15 and I'll never stop listening
I actually can't put them in an order, they are all equal, but creds to Unforgiven 3 (along with all nightmare long and cyanide) for making Metallica good again, I love death magnetic
James Haygreen And That Was Just your life, The Day That Never Comes, Suicide and Redemption, even Broken, Beat and Scarred and The Judas Kiss!
I liked the Black Album and Load & Reload though. St Anger was really their only big mess up.
Death Magnetic считаю лучшим альбомом, переслушивать сотни раз

metallica forever. This band is my live, I am from LITHUANIA, I LOVE THEM VERY MUCH.
Ooo how is Lithuania? I’ve always wanted to visit your country!
I absolutely love The Unforgiven III, with II being a very close second for me.
This works great listening to it as a sort of trilogy, with the same general theme throughout the entire thing and they feel like an overlapping story, even though they can be listened to separately. All three are great songs as well!
Couldn't agree more
I fully agre! First, he blames his parents; then, his love partner; finally, he understands the true blame is to himself. This is a journey to wisdom!
The Unforgiven II is still my favourite. My favourite song of the Load/Reload era. Very well done. I also like the I.

Bleeding Me is my favorite off that album but this is a close second

All three Unfrgivens were all great, mostly lyrically i think, the words just run deep... but the music and the solos, they run deep too.
Man when I get in a funk I always come and listen to this , I’m happy to be a part of the Metallica family so glad I got to see them in Alabama last year was one of the best moments of my life so far

anybody else think that the unforgiven II has kind of a southwestern/country vibe going?
James at that time listened to a lot of country songs etc. He cited Bob Dylan in particular during an interview - not sure which one though. :)
Ricky II This is what separates Metallica from Slayer, Megadeath, etc. and classifies them as greatness. They take risks and pull from their influences and their roots. If they did something influenced by bluegrass, opera, or Zydeco I would love them that much more.

This bitter man he is.
Throughout his life the same -
He's battled constantly.
This fight he cannot win -
A tired man they see no longer cares.
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully -
That old man here is me.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
[Solo]
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never be.
Never see.
Won't see what might have been.
What I've felt,
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
You labelled me,
I'll label you.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
You labelled me,
I'll label you.
So I dub thee unforgiven.
Never free.
Never me.
So I dub thee unforgiven.

"The Unforgiven II"
Lay beside me, tell me what they've done
Speak the words I wanna hear, to make my demons run
The door is locked now, but it's opened if you're true
If you can understand the me, then I can understand the you
Lay beside me, under wicked sky
Through black of day, dark of night, we share this paralyze
The door cracks open but there's no sun shining through
Black heart scarring darker still, but there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining through
No, there's no sun shining...
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven, too?
Come lay beside me, this won't hurt, I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still, but she'll never love again
She lay beside me but she'll be there when I'm gone
Black heart scarring darker still, yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone
Dead sure she'll be there...
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
What I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven, too?
Lay beside me, tell me what I've done
The door is closed, so are your eyes
But now I see the sun, now I see the sun
Yes, now I see it
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
What I've felt, what I've known
So sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there? 'Cause I'm the one who waits,
The one who waits for you....
Oh, what I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you? (so I dub thee Unforgiven)
Oh, what I've felt...
Oh, what I've known...
I take this key (never free...)
And I bury it (never me...) in you
Because you're unforgiven, too...
Never free...
Never me...
'Cause you're unforgiven, too...
Oh

"The Unforgiven III"
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
Was he the one causing pain
With his careless dreaming?
Been afraid, always afraid
Of the things he's feeling
He could just be gone
He would just sail on
He'll just sail on
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
These days drift on inside a fog
It's thick and suffocating
This seeking life outside its hell
Inside intoxicating
He's run aground like his life
Water much too shallow
Slipping fast down with his ship
Fading in the shadows now
A castaway
They've all gone away
They've gone away
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me not
Forgive me, forgive me
Why can't I forgive me?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever
How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
So how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?
Marooned Youth Thanks
Thank you!
Obrigado! 👏
Thanks
One day I say "OK, first one is the best" and then I go "Second is the best!" and then the third... But this doubt shows us that Metallica does such great songs that we can't even chose the best one.
this is so good it hurts... can't stop listenning to those 3 awesome songs
I am a rock music lover and always spend a lot of time learning and listening to them and I have my own collection of the best songs.
1. 10/10
2. 10/10
3. 10/10
U1 solo is so prodigious. Thanks to Bob Rock he enforced Kirk to play that legendary piece of art.
2022 and these songs still go as hard as they did back in the day
Grew up with this band Metallica from 80s to present.Past and it it will always be the present for everyone and for those band who play and celebrate their legacy.Metallica is Iternity.
eternity*
People will likely disagree with me here, but I still think Unforgiven II is the best of the lot.
@LuxBellator92, I agree with you 1000%…..
WOW that solo at Unforgiven 3 is even more epic than the solo in Unforgiven 1
Unforgiven : Legend
Unforgiven II : Best Lyrics
Unforgiven III : Best Solo
Still listening to this master piece..it reminds me my old friend..rest in paradise my bff
never understood the hate for unforgiven III, sick solo with some great lyric work

The Unforgiven 2 lyric:
Lay beside me and tell me what they've done
And speak the words I wanna hear to make my demons run
The door is locked now but it's open if you're true
If you can understand the me then I can understand the you
Lay beside me, under wicked sky
Through black of day, dark of night, we share this, paralyzed
The door cracks open but there's no sun shining through
Black heart scarring darker still but there's no sun shining through
No there's no sun shining through, no there's no sun shining
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there
'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?
Come lay beside me, this won't hurt I swear
She loves me not, she loves me still but she'll never love again
She lay beside me but she'll be there when I'm gone
Black hearts scarring darker still, yes she'll be there when I'm gone
Yes she'll be there when I'm gone, dead sure she'll be there?
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you?
Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known
Sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there
'Cause I'm the one who waits for you
Or are you unforgiven too?
Lay beside me, tell me what I've done
The door is closed so are your eyes
But now I see the sun, now I see the sun
Yes now I see it
What I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you
Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known
So sick and tired, I stand alone
Could you be there
'Cause I'm the one who waits
The one who waits for you
Oh, what I've felt, what I've known
Turn the pages, turn the stone
Behind the door, should I open it for you? (so I dub thee unforgiven)
Oh, what I've felt
Oh, what I've known
I'll take this key and I'll bury it in you
Because you're unforgiven too
Never free, never me
'Cause you're unforgiven too, oh oh

Next we need a compilation of:
1. Fade to Black
2. Sanitarium
3. One
4. Nothing Else Matters
5. Hero of the Day
At least the first 3.
+darkstar100x My windows 95 had that MSDOS icon on the menu and I thought it was a game, but only black screen appeared when I clicked it :)
Heck yea
+darkstar100x You're list is good, but put Call of the Ktulu in between Fade to Black and Sanitarium.
+darkstar100x missing at least Orion
+ThundaStruk 71 He listed the ballads that Metallica made
New blood joins this Earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on, he's known
Ooh, a vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
Oh, oh, oh
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
I don't care much to be reminded. Either way i did some great things. And I'm not laying down just yet. Thank you greatly for your service and America's Freedom. I can't imagine, only a little.
Hey Mine, hope you're doing well.
How are you?
What an amazing and beautiful trilogy.
I feel as though I am the only one who absolutely adores Pt III. Part I is still the best imo, though.
Absolutely not.
Lots of people who love 3, including myself.
Even if 1 is the masterpiece.
Seria uma honra participar dessa grande equipe abençoada por Deus amém ♥️
