I’m a cradle catholic and came back to the faith in 2021. I learned Catholics had to be open to life and that contraception is a mortal sin. So, I talked with my husband and stopped my birth control on June 7, 2021.
On June 8, 2021 I made a commitment to pray the rosary every single day with the intention “your will, not mine, be done”
On June 8, 2022 I gave birth to our third daughter
We thought we’d be done after two, but God had bigger plans! And thank God for that because she is such a blessing!

Thank you we pray for people like you and your husband to raise children into holy ones. Our story married 45 yars. Four children, in less than six years. Then tubal ligation. 😢(Condoned by our priest). My wife has epilepsy. Chilren had serious chronic health issues.
4 yrs later we reversed ligation. We started homeschooling. And had four more children. It was hard but we made friends that shared our openess to life and commitment to our children's lives. 8 children, 2 of them religous sisters, 24 grandchildren. I tell childhood stories, faith and family stories health stories. Want people to seek truth, think laugh and live. Grandpa Hill of Grandpa Hill's True Stories. Thaks again. Your talks will inspire!

First, as a dog, I have a natural aversion to cats. Second, as an evangelical Protestant, I can fully appreciate your intellectual pursuit and open mindedness towards God and theological matters. Third, your intelllect and articulateness provide you with an advantage most others don’t have. That is why, although I am not Roman Catholic, and in all likelihood will not be, I have chosen to subscribe to your channel and continue receiving your wisdom.

I just got around to watching this video of yours and I wanted to say thank you! I'm coming at things from the opposite end of the spectrum; I always have wanted the stereotypically large Catholic family, but that's not how things have panned out. I have to admit that it's hard not to be envious of women who have children, but hearing perspectives from the other side helps me realize that everyone has their own struggles (I'm not sure if that's the word I'm looking for). I don't know if this comment makes any sense, but I just wanted to express my appreciation. 🙂

Thanks so much for your comment. I’m glad the video was of interest to you. When I made this video, I was really hoping it would not be hurtful to anyone for whom marriage or having children has not gone the way they hoped. I love that quote that basically says, “Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” Our experiences are all so different, but I don’t think any of us make it through life without some hard battles. Thank you, Jesus, for the grace for each day.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Sending love to you. ❤️ -Megan

Amen. Great testimony. May God bless you and your entire family, including your parents for their selfless act to bring you and your siblings into the world.
Sometimes I contemplate that God knew me before all creation and He chose this crazy time for me to exist. It is the same for all of us alive today. The reason why will become clear when it is supposed to. I find it so humbling.
I have to ask if you are okay with your shortness of breath. Hopefully, it is just the baby pushing on your diaphragm. I will keep you, your new baby and your family in my prayers.

Thanks again for your encouragement and prayers!
As for the shortness of breath, I definitely have less lung capacity at this exact moment, but more generally, I have a bad habit of rushing when I am speaking, and it takes a lot of mental focus for me to pause long enough to breathe. I was actually trying to slow down and breathe while recording this, but alas it’s something I’m still working on.

@@FiledUnderFaith You're welcome. It is good that it isn't a health issue. That was my concern for you.

May I be so daring to ask what those four books in the background are? I notice you have the Orthodox Study Bible!
Really good testimony by the way, you have a wonderful knack of talking to the camera without any edits so bravo and well done to that.

Thank you for the kind words! The books are Signs and Symbols in Christian Art, the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible: New Testament, the Orthodox Study Bible, and a volume called The Apostolic Fathers, Holmes translation. And yes, I love the Orthodox Study Bible! It has so many rich insights that I have never seen anywhere else!

@@FiledUnderFaith And thank you for the book names! I also have the Orthodox Study Bible however I am just waiting to see if they release a full Ignatius Study Bible, from my understanding it is just the NT at the moment! Anyway, keep up the good work and God bless you.
