Anders and Aveline with solid support, surprisingly good support from Isabella, Fenris naturally has NO idea what he's doing, and Merrill tries but still doesn't cotton onto the fact that her own use of blood magic is dangerous and stupid.
I don't know how Aveline can be that much of a functional adult in a Bioware game, but here she is, being the most supportive companion. Anders sympathizes, true, but he doesn't know how to give advice the way she does.
Played this game since its release and I never really allowed Dupuis to tag along. At first I felt bad for killing him at the start of this video and never giving him a chance. Now I'm secure in that choice to kill him outright.
I still can’t tell if Anders was offering grief sex to Hawke or putting out to keep him from having anti-mage thoughts. Either way, now is not the time Anders you kinky bastard haha!

The companions do say something if you click them after your mum passes. He says "I am so sorry about your mother, Hawke. I've put a remembrance for her on the Chantry's memorial wall."
I need to know, why was I missing the 21:39 dialogue option, I don't know why this dialogue option is not available in my playthrough. Is there anyone who can give an answer to that?
Leandra had her head cut off and sewn onto body parts from numerous other women. Even if Merrill could somehow keep Leandra's essence inside that body, would Leandra really want to live like that?
@@Saphira1001fanfic Obviously not. I didn't catch that detail in the mission. I thought that Quentin used blood magic to kill Leandra & then resurrect her as an indoctrinated zombie wife. The bodies, I thought, were the victims who were not perfect enough to be the exact duplicate of Quentin's dead wife. One thing I can appreciate in this game is that there was a build-up to Quentin with one of the guards suggesting that there's a pattern to Quentin's victims
11:38
Humorous Hawke turning into the most terrifying being in existence
Makes sense, that was Hawkes mother

"FUUUUU **starts sobbing**"
I know the feeling
I don't sob. I live vicariously through 27:55 instead.
Then I bawl.
Yep. Still the same in 2024
this part of the game always makes me cry.
I just wish Varric had some sort of dialogue with Hawke about Leandra’s death
Didn't he?
He probably did off-screen, but due to DA2 being Tales of the Champion he probably left whatever talk he had with Hawke out of the book
3:01 - The templars and the city guard? Great. It's the Coalition of Getting Nothing Done.
Aveline on the background: SO YOU HAVE CHOSEN... DEATH.

No matter what people say, I like Dragon Age 2 a lot, I love Origins and DA2 in the same way, two of my most favorite games ever.
I always loved Avaline's advice about mourning
It actually helped when I lost my dad
@@VkMari3712 that's amazing ❤
I used her advice and told it to a friend who lost his dad recently. It's a great line.
The only quest i hate. It makes me cry, and think of the thought of losing my own mother, now that hurts.
you can save her

"she's with the maker now" "or ferloin" ... REALLY Merill?
At least Merril and Fenris tried their best.

F*cking Aveline... 😭

Dupuis one of the mages, who drop blood magic, if you give him a chance. Anders, Grace, Merril and Alen - dont. Dupuis smart, and he has will power.
@@ВладРыцарь-з3ь Anders never practiced blood magic.
@@Hillthugsta Its a lie
In dlc - Legacy, Anders call some shades, to beat Hawke.
Only blood mage can do that.
Aveline's monologue about grief is unmatched
Everytime I play this I subconsciously put my mind to getting there before she dies as if it will change anything.
Anders: I know you're looking for someone to be angry at. If it helps, go ahead and take it out on me.

Thanks for getting all of the scenes! I appreciate the work you put in to get all of this :)
I love my boy Fenris 😍😍😍
Huh it never occurred to me how gamlen was the one to notice something was wrong. Or how much he cared. I gotta play Da2 again
This quest REALLY got me.
Only two time ive cryed while playing a game. Dragon age 2 when mother dies, and in Walking Dead Part 1 when, Clementine says goodbye to Lee. 😢

Man this quest caught me off guard. I was expecting her to just be in a cage or something maybe a little hurt. But not this
This is probably one of the most fucked up things Bioware has ever added to any of their dragon age games.
I played this as a mage... Needless to say I used fire against Quentin. I burned him all up.
So Varric and Sebastian never say anything. That’s disappointing.
13:34 well Varric does something here
