- Wongamat Beach Pattaya Thailand Holiday Views Naklua Soi 16.People ask me all the time, What's the Best area in Pattaya to live? I may be bias, please come along on a tour of my area. I live 5 minutes to Terminal 21 & 10 minutes to Central Festival or 30 minutes to Jomtien. Naklua has great local entertainment and lots of great restaurants. The area remains quiet for the most part and is located right on the ocean. wongamat looks fantastic, definitely an area worth living
It really is!
I used to live at soi 16 for a year, loved it there. Best area in Pattaya. I still think it is. I lived in a condo just to the left where the soi turns to the right, 100 meters from the beach. If you go a straight line down soi 16, you end up the last 100 meters on a walk and motorbikes only passage. When I lived there, the beach had pretty much been eaten up by the waves. They had to do a lot of damage control, and today it once again looks great. Thanks for the tour, Tom 😊😊

@@gerardbeck457 Well, life happens I guess. I bought a new condo at The Residence in Jomtien. Only rented in Wongamat. It just seemed right at the time to own, and Jomtien was a good choice. Still is, but I do miss Wongamat. I frequently go back there for visits. Love the beach ranging from northern Pattaya to the end of Wongamat too. Especially the quiet areas with good shadow under the trees.
I love Wongamat Beach. To me it it's the best in the area without going to the islands.

A scooter is pefect. For the local area most people just walk. Naklua road is only 15 minutes walking. Of course there's Bolt or Grab taxis readily available as well.
Wagamont looks very relaxing and sorta slightly upscale if I may, looks nice !

Yes, Wong Amat is great. Bamboo Beach is my favourite - nicest Beach Cafe of Pattaya, good food and cocktails, fair prices. The service isn't great, but who cares if you enjoy the sunset there with a cocktail and a nice lady by your side.
You summed up Bamboo spot on. I'vbe always said they needed better help. I think it's partly do to the young kids working.

How is the air pollution there?
The right answer is "it's horrible" but it's not every day and normally this part of the country is only effected Feb through Apr. That's not to say there's not other days during the months when it's bad but the normal serious times are during those stated months. But still there are 3-4 days a month that it's too dangerous to go outside in my opinion. Lastly it should be noted that I've never been sick from the pollution in the air and I don't know anybody it has ever affected. I hope this helps.
