    I would clarify that "если...то" directly translates to "if...then", which explains why "то" is usually optional in the same way that "then" is usually optional.

    I read that:
    "Потому что" is not used to start a sentence unless you are giving an explanation for something that was already mentioned.
    Is this correct, if so it might be worth a pop-up note in the video.

    One really annoying thing about Russian is that you all don't have a way to say "as long as". This is a very common & useful phrase in English. You can say "пока" and it works okay, but it doesn't feel right.
    For example - "As long as the bear isn't hungry, he isn't going to attack any of the visitors"

      Google Translate gives several options. As an adverb: пока, поскольку, при условии, and as a conjunction: поскольку, при условии, до тех пор.

      As a Russian learner, what I find most annoying about Russian is when it fails to make distinctions that you easily would in English. Like foot/hand vs. leg/arm, one potato/onion/cookie vs. multiple, butter vs. oil, etc.
