Fun listen. First song had a touch of a gypsy feel to it and a hint of Mr. Bungle (there's another band that's far out). I liked the 2nd song better. I really dug the tremolo effect. That kind of music has a kind of Halloween voodoo vibe that I like that would fit into a movie or something. Just my take on these songs. Thanks.
Great choices. Thanks. They're a very diverse band, but each album has its own sound. I think this was the one they recorded with Sylvia Massey (who did System of a Down), when they were just kids. They won some battle of the bands contest, and the prize was to have an album recorded in America at a professional studio. (They got a bit darker down the years, but their latest is based on the 80's synthpop sound of, e.g. Depeche Mode). Before that it became records with ravens and crows on them, and songs like Strawberry Suicide. Cheerfully dark matter, though. Still a good asylum to be in. As far as sound goes, it sounded maybe a bit quiet to me, but I think your levels are just a bit quiet overall, so the balance between you and the band was fine according to me, and the quietness just required a nudge of the volume control (mine's always down quite a bit, so there's room for that.)
Well, I don't really know. Just change for changes sake I guess. A bit less serious sounding maybe. Maybe it'll attract more attention. Who knows. Thanks for asking.
My current favourite band! The album Valesa is outstanding.
Just discovered them. Actually they were recommended by a subscriber. I like them. I'll give Valesa a look see.

I’ve seen some people comparing them to Tom Waits
Don't know Tom Waits much. Maybe slightly in the sound of the voice but not as gritty as Waits. Musically? I don't know.
Why the name change? (though it's funny )
