After owning a Mini Hatch for 4.5 years, I took the plunge today and bought a Countryman from my local in London. Excited to start driving it! I was worried about going bigger, but now I am excited again by watching this video.
Bought one from the Enfield Branch ,last year my 3rd Mini ,I just love the Mini countryman.Will definitely get another one in 2024 .
Growing up, I really want to own and drive a MINI and now finally, I ordered my 2023 Mini S Countryman Midnight black II with Piano black exterior trim. The only downside was that the power tailgate wasn’t offered due to supply shortage. Other than that, so excited and can’t wait!!!

I like that car alot i wonder if the manufacturer raised it a little more to increase its ground clearance while keeping its distinguished look, if thats possible
I really like the Countryman. It's grown on me quite a bit. Didn't like them at first when they came out: felt it defeated the purpose of the mini, but now feel different. Some changes I'd like to see further down a line is an improvement to the electric range: 25+ miles in winter would be great. Dual wireless changing would be great, too. To wirelessly change two phones at once, like you can in a Model 3.
The physical switches and dials are obviously part of the "soul" and character any mini, so absolutely keep all of those. That tactility is a must. What I would like to see, though, is the display in the middle of the car entirely fill that central circle. How the steering wheel binnacle display fills its frame. The circle is the perfect size and making use of the entire thing for the central entertainment/car display would seem inventible, and it should happen. Would improve the car.
Crazy how some of the things you said here are on the new electric mini (2024 I believe). Your a fortune teller. I would like to know your thoughts about the new look on the mini 🤔
Why did they change the steering wheel? Looks so much cheaper than the old one.

i’m 44 and it’s my second one. I think they are great. they could use more features standard but it’s what it is. it’s the perfect size car and so fun to drive. I heard they aren’t making the clubman anymore or very little.

That is so different from the Mini Countryman we get in Australia, we had to go up to jCW for all wheel drive

Not now - ordered my Cooper S countryman last weekend in Qld - it's AWD, which is good because I really didn't like the interior styling pf the JCW
Not all models of the countryman are all wheel drive. Let me know if I'm wrong.
Are you sure all Countryman are All,Wheel Drive? I know the Clubman are. I saw a 2022 Countrman at my local dealer and it was Front Wheel Drive.
MINIUSA shows Countryman Cooper, Countryman Cooper S, and Clubman Cooper S are all available in front wheel drive or ALL4 for 2022. SE and JCW are ALL4 only.

Some good looking Coopers. But the Mini Cooper Conv/S is the best. A true Mini is when the top goes down.
Considering the convertible didn't come until 2004 - it's hardly a "true" mini at all. They also look pretentious
@@katydid5354 The convertible captures the Cooper spirit, like the earlier tin cans. Today's resemble passenger cars.

@@MikeSarrazin - Well, I guess I'm old fashioned. I'm 72 and like the round gauges because they are traditional. Everything is analog now so these aren't as distinctive. To me the analog gives a feel more like a "cockpit". I used to have Nissan Z's, a 240, 260 and 280, all analog. I didn't like it after they changed. My countryman is in "slut" red with black trim. I still drive like a bat out of hell. 😁 Whenever I've gone to the UK I rented Minis. Love how they handle on the winding roads. Very solid. BTW, I have no idea why I wrote 20/20 instead of 2020. 😛 Old people have brain farts!

Mini is overpriced piece of crap. Back in May, ordered 2023 mini countryman Cooper S with iconic trim. Spent almost $46000. And yet... no blind spot monitor, no power tailgate or heated steering wheel due to chip shortage, no available adaptive cruise control unless its JCW, less than 200hp for a vehicle thats worth $46000... wow

I love the dash. Part of the reason I bought it. Don't like the digital gauges on the 2022. Mine isn't digital.

It's great and and wanted to pick one up as a gift for my mom. Here's the dealbreaker: it does NOT have a side view mirror blind spot monitor! Even in the top trim. Completely unacceptable. I mean, dang, it's 2023. I'm pretty sure you can get it as options on cars that are 1/2 the price of this. So close, yet so far.. Step up your game Mini/BMW...still way behind..
