    Hi Guys,
Good to hear you boys loved the Plunge Saw, truly is a wonderful unit!
Regarding the Bluetooth pairing issue you were having Mike; the Bluetooth chips are still paired even when the batteries are removed and charged or left for a couple of days. Essentially you have to wake up the Bluetooth connection by pressing the AWS button on the tool or the dust extractor for a second. This will reactivate the connection, enabling AWS to take effect.
    Cheers, Makita Australia.

Can the vacuum be paired to multiple tools at a time? Or every time you use a different tool you have to pair it?

I think makita need to offer a bigger vacuum to accommodate for constant cutting of FC and Scyon. Especially for the track saw!
Something like the husqvarna s 36

I got 2x5Ah batteries and 2x1.5Ah batteries from Makita right now (+1 older Bosch) with 2 more 5Ah delivered mid January with a cordless grinder.
This bundle would be way over the top for me as a hobbyist even thought i am in desperate need for dust extraction.
I'm holding back on that because it would again mean to carry some sort of wire behind me - and i really love my cordless tools for the freedom in movement they provide!
But i think i'm now going to gift myself a replacement guidetrack and maybe a additional second length one :D
great videos - keep it up!

Nice vid as usual guys, I recently bought the saw and extractor, very pleased with both. Regarding batteries, my son and I work as a team, we’re general builders, have a lot of cordless Makita including a few 36v (18v x 2) tools. Atm, our battery count is 35 👍🏻

Great job on the video and good practical discussion. Appreciate the discussion about the vacuum and who it is for, helped me decide that it’s not for me, even though I really want one.
I’ve had the corded version of the track saw and it works great. Pretty much use it instead of my table saw now. I used to do handyman work but really just do DYI projects now.

Hey Makita, here's another of my ideas you can steal. 😘 Make an independent AWS module we can plug into any dust extractor's appliance socket. So people that already have stupidly expensive Festool dust extractors don't have to buy a second one. Would be super cool of you if you could. Cheers!

@@kyzenlanx in the meantime you could use a remote control outlet and stick the remote on the saw with some velcro. That's what I do or carry the remote in my pouch. I don't have the aws version of this saw so even when they bring out the new module it'll still be no good to me anyway

    I have Makita 6x 5Ah, 2x 6Ah. Xgt 3x 4Ah. Flexvolt 2x 6Ah, 1x 9Ah.
I have the 40v Makita track saw and was looking at getting an extractor that's suitable for cutting fibre cement maybe corded with an Aws adapter.
Plus I would probably get myself 1 of these ones aswel just for the convenience of being cordless and abit more compact for carrying around daily.

pbfamous07 the makita track saw is a better saw than the festool. I have loads of time on both the ts55 and ts75. Recently purchased the makita corded track saw and it cuts smoother and has more power than the festool. The electronics on the festool are whack making the motor chatter randomly on even the lightest of cuts.

For dust extraction I use the Makita back pack. I normally do commercial cleaning with it too but it's a bit weak. Most of the time I just wear a mask and worry about dust later :)

Guys, you have just invented a new thing, which I'd like to call the "Oz Tool Talk Paradox"; It starts when you see a tool on this channel and then the paradox happens when you realize that even if you DONT need this tool, well ... you NEED it anyway :-)

Fantastic vid guys, would love to see a review on the 36v circ saw to see if it is worth getting over the 18v brushless model and why you guys think so...
36v model is I think DHS710Z and the 18v you have reviewed is the DHS680Z.
Thumbs up for this vid, you guys are always a step ahead in being honest with good reasoning with your opinions without trying to suck up to the manufacturers if in the circumstances they send you a review unit or let you keep it after review, this is the case with a lot of the other prominent tool channels on YT and I can spot it a mile off.
Keep grinding and bringing the Makita review stuff to the channel, 99% of the time the tools you have over in AUS are sold here in the UK. Cheers.

U dont have to re sync the blue tooth modual all the time, i had same drama first few weeks.. say u aint used it for a couple of days. Turn on vac, quickly start the tool, then just press the Bluetooth button. Works every time. Same when u switch the bluetooth chip to another tool, operate the tool for a short burst. Press bluetooth and it should operate the vac the next time u operate the tool
