- I have some news! A few months ago I chatted about creating a book proposal. Well, head to the end of the vlog for the book update! In this week's video, I put together a cosy Autumn Afternoon vlog, I visited some cute walled gardens with adorable greenhouses, walked in the woods and caught up on some gardening. I am also catching up and sharing some news as it has been a while since I did a chatty vlog with you.

Well done, Catherine! All of your hard work and continual creative effort on your book and juggling everything else you do is all coming together! You say you hate public speaking, and I’m amazed because you seem so comfortable talking to your public. After a while you will actually become just as comfortable talking to crowds of people as you are talking to your camera. I had no doubt whatever you plant will blossom! You work incredibly hard and for everything you have in your life. I have said it before , I would be so damn proud to have a daughter like you! I also follow what I refer to as the first trimester rule 😆! Whether your seeding a baby, garden, project or new job 😁, I don’t speak of it for three months to make sure it’s taken! I am also beyond excited that there will be (staying positive!) two videos a week!! We’ve been in the 80’s. Today it’s 63F. I plan to be outside all day tomorrow!🥰 Loved your philosophy on being content where you are. I’ve a cottage in the country complete with woods…sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the yard work I have. I’m thankful I usually LOVE gardening and yard work. I like to mow the grass too. You were so funny when you were telling us that.😂 Congratulations on the book deal! Way to go!🎉🎉🎉
My mum grew up in Stoneybatter, Dublin and we’d visit from England every year. There’s no family left there now and I haven’t been there for 25 years but would love a video of the area and the beautiful church and community.

Love it. I agree, everything seemed better when you were younger, I've often had this conversation, nothing is the same anymore. I often think of my childhood, memories are precious things and many a time I wish I could revisit certain times from childhood. 😔 I miss Gardeners World too, I always like to cosy down and watch it. Great news about the book! About 5 years ago I was lucky enough to have afew poems published via an American website, abit different to an actual book deal I know, but I didn't think they were good enough and never intended them for public eyes but a friend encouraged me to go for it and people seemed to like them which was really nice. The taste changes for a couple of reasons: the smell of the home you lived in as a child affects how things taste, and also, we have more tastebuds when we are little. My Grans house made her cream of wheat cereal taste better than at my mom's house.

Fell behind watching videos due to a work project-- what wonderful news to come back to!! So incredibly happy for you and proud of you for sticking with it. Writing a book is hard, lonely work! If your publisher is looking to see if there is interest for your book in the US, the answer is a loud, emphatic YES!
For travels, I'm happy to see absolutely anywhere, even if it seems mundane. (This could be just me, but I love visiting grocery stores in other countries. Love seeing the similarities and differences.) Covid stole my first trip to Ireland, so I'm visiting vicariously through your videos.

Congratulations on your book deal!! Can't wait to see the final product. If you haven't been, consider a drive to Loughcrew Cairns in Meath. It is a bit of a hike up the hill but the views are stunning and the Cairn is amazing. I lucked out and there was a small tour just finishing when I was there a couple of years back so the guide let me go in to look before locking it up. The key is kept at a local shop and you have to pick it up there. Did not know that until I was already there. Once the tour group left, my cousin and I were the only ones there. Went at this time of year so tourist season was just about over. And, at the bottom of the hill down by the hostel there is a really lovely little tea shop. Hill of Tara is not far from it but Loughcrew is really just so beautiful.

I don't normally comment but I had to say Huge congratulations 🎊 on your book 📖 👏. I thought you were in the woods in the millennium Park and then I thought - nope, no little sheep around there. Wherever it was it looked so peaceful, tranquil and beautiful 😍. Now I need to go find it 🐑🍁🍂🍃... my garden and my neighbours gardens are full of leaves 🍃 from the tree outside my house 😖, but I just love it .... sorry neighbours if you are reading this. I truly love autumn except for the fireworks at this time, I've 3 cat's and they've been so scared the last few days because of how loud bangs 😪....

I have never had the bones! However I do like monster munch which maybe similar. However I will let you into a secret love of mine which you may or may not like to try but please give it a try because you might love it too. Open a tin of the best tomato soup and heat it up
then dip the bones into your soup! If you like the taste chuck the whole packet in! It works with any flavour! Lol!

I’m with you, I also love any pickled flavoured snacks. And things we ate as kids are definitely different now, not just flavour but size. I remember Wagon Wheels as a kid and they were big, now they’ve gone from a normal size wheel to a stabiliser and they don’t taste the same. I have several sweet/snacks drawers in the house, and not just in the kitchen 😆. Went up North last week and the amount of crap we brought home was crazy…but hey, you gotta do it 😂
