Good to see you all having fun. Difficult to beat riding in Scotland. You’ll always going to get some rain and just hope it’s not persistent and roll with it. I stayed at The Old Inn on Skye. That was a very wet day. Finished early and got on the local ale. Fried Skye haggis for breakfast was delicious 😋
I got a little cold watching the wet riding. The lowland fog reminded of me of one of the old James Bond movies where he goes back to his boyhood home. Seemed like a well planned trip. My opinion is that you had the perfect tires on your bike especially in the rain.
@@flatcapcaferacer the tyres were very good indeed. I don't think they're overwhelmingly better than the Pirelli Angel GT 2, but they're very good. Unfortunately they have also provided me with my first ever puncture...
“Fish or game” 🤣 “Sultans of swing” 😎 Loved the moody shots of the castle. Looked like some lovely roads. Shame about the wet stuff but it didn’t seem to dampen your spirits 👍🏼
It wouldn't be a tour of Scotland without needing the waterproofs. One really wet trip, we took refuge in the cafe/visitor centre at that castle. Such an amazing country.
What a fun day's riding that was, despite the rain nobody's spirits were dampened at all. The waders whilst seeming practical would be a bit on the hot side, I'd end up wetter on the inside than they were outside.
Loving this series. That was an interesting route. Not quite sure how you went over Connel Bridge and then down Glen Coe.... don't matter, they are all great roads. Where you all parked up, in your last shot, had you ridden down to the harbour, you could have seen my castle on the other side of the bay. Caisteal Maol was owned, back in the 14th century, by the son of a clan chief who was a namesake of mine.... or vice versa I suppose, as he was there first.
@@neilmackinnon3371 thanks, buddy. I didn't know about your castle. We should have stayed there instead of Saucy Mary's... The order of the shots might have been a bit non-chronological. This was the route: www.myrouteapp.com/route/open/9278864
You need a positive mind set to ride up here mate & as you've now witnessed the rain can appear as quick as it takes a lady to put on a pair of chest waders! 😮🤣👍 It's just lovely that Moto Guzzi V85TT she has & that K1600 is a peach aswell...As is your Frankie! 😎✌️ I can always tell who's not seen my SUGRU vid, showing the best way to mount a camera on a lid!!! 🤬🤣👍
Now, who of the 78 views and 25 commenters, HASN'T liked this video?? Anyway, This part of Scotland feels like home to me, with good reason as my Family used to fish near here. Seems like sacrilege not to explore more though as the Isle of Skye is bucket list territory for many people, with the old Man of Storr, the Fairy Pools, the Cuillin Hills and the abundant wildlife testify.
@@drdoolittle5724 good for you! I loved it even despite spells of bad weather. Midges unlikely to be an issue in May, but we didn't get any in June either (thanks to wind and a bit of rain).
Great pictures of the castle.
@@hachewie thanks. Coming from you that's a great compliment.
Even with the weather, still looks like a fun day’s ride.
@@hachewie definitely fun, though we didn't get the views. Ah well, we'll have to go back... 😅
Can always count on a bit of the wet stuff up there. Still lovely either way.

Skyfall I think was the film. Partly filmed in Glencoe Scotland

That is what we can expect in the British Isles! Thanks for stopping by 👍
Scotland's lovely. If you ever get a nice day.

Ah yes, the Snottish weather. I hope to experience that one day.
I hope you experience the great roads with excellent weather!
Hello, Noob. Bad weather is an excuse to go back, right? :D Scotland is so beautiful. Hope you had a good trip.
Absolutely an excellent reason to try again and again and again to get everything "just so" 🤭
Very nice scenery and roads, but the weather was painful... I see that you were fishing in those rain gear quite a lot. :) Anyways a great day riding.
A bad day on the bike is still better than a good day in the office. I wasn't fishing, but Alana was certainly geared up for it!

Well Alana is a very cool cucumber 🥒 and she loved it, coping very well with our ribbing and banter

I'm taking some good tips from this. I hope my tour at the end of August doesn't have the same weather.
