Very useful as I'm just about to do this fitment. Thank you.
Had my 2019 SX mapped and new exhaust system fitted. 158bhp now sounds mint and much smoother and stronger through the gears. I put a better screen on mine ( puig ) made the world of difference. The bike does everything you want from a sports tourer.
Thank you. A different screen might help with some of the wind noise and turbulence
Change oil every 5k and filter. Air filter every year , copper grease bolts when you take them out the bike is awesome!! Had my 2019 had it mapped new exhaust system the bike runs much smoother gone from 143bhp to 158bhp it’s now better on fuel , smoother and sounds awesome. When I tour Europe I put the stock horrible cans on much quieter, I don’t want TFT or quick shifter that’s why I bought the 19 plate. Great bike.
Thanks! I definitely don't feel the need for any more power from this bike. Maintenance tips are very valuable. Coming to 30k miles now and have done a rebuild of the brake calipers. Will be doing a detailed 30k review soon.
3:23 Nice painting. I do not know what kind of drugs the individual that painted this image was on, but I want some... It was imaginative.

Nice one Noob, Sunshine? Sunshine? It's not like you to to ride in the dry and the warm 🤔😊 Stunning roads especially that narrow gorge and the drone footage was icing on the cake. I'd have liked to have seen you fly out over the gorge a bit more but I understand when you've not flown in a while it's best to err on the side of caution. A room decorated to look distressed now that's clever, owners of run down hotels everywhere will be putting a claim to that one 😮😂
Thanks Michael. I'm still learning to use the drone. There's more (and hopefully a bit better) coming in the next few videos. Don't tell anyone but I wasn't really supposed to park there either 😬

@@HippoDrones check out the Anakee Road also. And thanks, I'll watch out for logic and reason 🤣
As seen they performed very well. Will have to try them in the future. In my opinion they are not cheap, but well worth the money, from what I have heard. I believe that getting a puncture is just bad luck that can be with any tire. Nice review video my friend.
Cheers, Gregor! Yes, they're more premium in cost, but I was able to take advantage of some promotions to bring the cost differential down. Thankfully these coincided with the bike needing new tyres! I'm hoping they will bring longevity as well as the good performance, so watch this space...

Hi rippa day out with your daughter. 😊 . Rolley
Yes, buddy. Very enjoyable. Despite this being the day when I picked up a puncture on the Road 6 ... I thought I'd fixed it with the sticky string so didn't go for a mushroom patch and that caught up with me in France as you'll see...
@@NooBiker Hi we always pray to the road gods to keep us free from them punctures bugger when it happens tho :(
Hi. Great review and a great looking bike. What are your thoughts on the R&G frame protectos and tank grinps. I'm looking to get some for my bike
Hi, I have the R&G tank grips, boot protectors, frame plugs and fork sliders installed, as well as the radiator grille. The tank grips do the job well. My frame sliders are from SW Motech as I think they suit the look of the bike better. They've protected the bike well in two slow speed drops. For me top priority is: 1. Frame sliders 1.1. Radiator grille 2. Fork sliders 3. Anything else... Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions. I'm planning to do a detailed video reviewing all the accessories, servicing etc as the bike is now very near 30k miles so stay tuned to the channel 👍
The color of that Indian was really nice. Like someone dropped a lemon in the paint. / I thought the scooter seat had a coccyx hole, like some touring bike saddles 😅
I still think it's for haemorrhoids relief 🤣🤣 The Indian colour is like a "faded white" or cream colour. I think the Guzz Airone paint scheme was wonderful. Almost as nice as the Honda Four outside 🤩
1972ish Honda 500 is a favorite of mine.
@@flatcapcaferacer good shout!

Make sure you keep The Ilford Stig away from Hardly Movingsons and probably away from Ducati's as well unless she just wants to look at them and not ride them. I can't believe you are youngerer than me😮 😂
@@LordBilious how could you not tell it from my youthful good looks? 🤣🤣
Some really interesting machines and vintage aircraft, Noob. Bikes produced in the 50's and 60's are my cup of tea. I passed my bike test on a 1959 Lambretta LD150. It also taught me on many occasions how to properly fall off a bike. Did Exeter Rider lend you his Cyprus acquired sun hat?
@@jimsadler8704 hahaha no, this hat (which I was wearing backwards) has been mine for years. It keeps my bald head from getting sunburned and I just kept it on indoors. I'm hankering after a classic scooter 🛵 now...
@@NooBiker Expensive, Noob, unless you want a restoration job.
It's a good job I'm not loaded, I would've bought the lot and had a private collection. Imagine being able to ride any of those bikes any time you wanted. Lovely vid Noobs, thanks for taking us round with you.
Thanks for joining us! We had a really enjoyable time even though I caught (and fixed, with Nigel's expert help!) my first ever puncture. That puncture will feature in future videos...
Thanks Noob and the Ilford Stig for showing us around this varied and interesting collection of bikes up for auction, there were many tempting classics amongst them. Many of them I remember from my youth, many more were well before my time. Dave seems to be a font of all knowledge when it comes to scooters, which may come in very handy when you find yourself one from 1972. I'm glad times have moved on and there isn't the disparity and rivalry between scooter riders and motorcyclists, we're all fans of two wheels when it boils down to it. My favourites were a Triumph amongst the scramblers which you didn't give much attention to and a Yamaha XSR 1300 or possibly an 1100 which you skipped by.
There are enough powered two wheelers to tickle the fancy if anyone. What caught my eye is very different from what might catch yours. I'm just glad such places and events exist. I'm definitely thinking about the possibility of a 1972 scooter 🛵...
@@michaellilley6725 and yes, Dave restores scooters and has a bit of a collection (I'm told). It was great having him and Nigel on the day.
I was going to comment on what bikes I would bid on but there were far to many! I'm surprised there wasn't more bmws.... They really float my boat. I would leave the Ducati etc, like you say it's one thing admiring but owning, I'm not so sure. It's good to enjoy this with your kids, she has good taste.
She liked the Harley, though... I can never forgive her that 🤣 I've started hankering for a classic scooter ...
We love looking around auction bikes. The couple of auctions we've done it's been interesting to see many bikes not achieving their published value. Some go for much less some go unsold. I wonder bottom will fall out the classic bike market as the older motorcycle enthusiasts pass on?? Thanks for the look around
It was watching your vídeos of those events that inspired me to try this! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. Lots to learn and improve upon, I think. The quality from the Insta can be very variable depending on lighting. I didn't get a chance to find out how the auction we went as that was on a separate day. I've started hankering after a classic scooter 🛵😱 but I have no money right now
@@NooBiker Honestly with video quality looking at bike detail, it's difficult to beat a high def single lens camera, set to non wide, that you can crop in on without losing quality. The 360 is brilliant in lots of ways but I don't think it's at it's best indoors with it's slightly distorting affect noticeable at doorways and straight lines. Lots of bikes I would like but with retirement around the corner I'm trying not to buy stuff that goes down in value 😉😉
@@Banditmanuk classic bikes which have already had all of the depreciation are unlikely to go down in value much more
I think there a great tyre.Just put a new rear on today as I had another puncture. Not sure if there worse than other tyres out there but I was surprised when I found it was a stone that had punctured it this time,A sharp one I must say but I’ll definitely stick with these for now unless I get yet another puncture then I’ll be back to metzlers.I was just wondering what p.s.i you run your tyres at as the rear tyre I’ve just had the puncture on was 4,000 mile old and to be honest it was knackered anyway.i had 1.7mm left on it and was due to change it anyway but I’ve never managed 5,000 out of any tyre yet and you’ve still got 5mm on yours.just checked my new tyre and it’s 6.5 mm..I have the same bike as you by the way and I do ride spirited..I’m just curious to know if running different p.s.i will help me get the mileage out of them that your getting..you should get 10,000 out of them with 5mm still left..cheers
@@ianburns5789 that's very unlucky with the punctures ☹️ I use the pressures recommended by Kawasaki and Michelin: 36 psi front, 42 psi rear. I guess you could say that I ride "sedate" as I tend to keep to the speed limits and try to be smooth as per IAM practice. We'll see how these last. Thanks for watching 👍
Wow…you do some serious mileages
Thanks! But I don't think they are particularly high mileages, only about 5,000 miles per year. Wishing you safe riding!
@@NooBiker I thought you said 5k since May…anyway thank you , go steady 👍
@@hectorshouse7348 Ah yes, but this was an odd year with two tours that used a lot of miles. I won't be carrying on at the same rate for the rest of the year!
My cst chinese tyres have never failed me. Are the road 6 pure sticky tyres?
@@steve00alt70 I don't know what you mean by 'pure sticky tyres' but these are sport touring tyres with harder compound in the centre for longevity and softer rubber on the sides for better cornering grip. The tread pattern is for water dispersion and wet riding performance.
I tried the Pirelli Angel, Bridgestone Battlax and the Michelin Road (and Road GT that I am currently using) were excellent. It performs well in all kinds of conditions and it really blows the competition on wet or rainy conditions. I used the Road 4,5 and now the 6 GT. Trust me … no point of trying anything else. Cheers amigo.
But there are still so many good tyres to try on and review, like the Roadtec 02, the Dunlop Roadsmart IV... 😁🤣 Thanks, amigo. This video is doing better than my usual stuff
Nice colour on that kawa. Another tire at this level is roadtec 02 and at a lower price.

Obviously your GoPro knew that it was not allowed to share the secrets of the amazing roads and views. If your subscribers want to experience that part of Scotland, they will just have to visit the area themselves..... not that I need an excuse.
Alternatively they could pop over and watch my two videos of the day, the DJI Action 4 doesn't have NoGoPro issues 😊
@@greywolf9292 well yes, they could do that too, but who wouldn't want to visit and experience those roads and that scenery for themselves.
@@neilmackinnon3371 they should definitely watch Michael's videos. That will make them suitably motivated to go visit there 👍
@@neilmackinnon3371 Your perfectly correct and anyone who wants guidance while they’re up here in the land of permanent puddles can feel free to give me a shout for guidance.
@@greywolf9292 "land of permanent puddles" 🤣🤣🤣 That's a really generous offer greywolf, amazing. Bikers eh? What are they like?
Can't believe your GP started being an asshole mate, while you were out with Michael! ☹️ Still gutted I didn't make it over to meet yous this day,but we'll meet again I'm sure! 😎👍
Yourself, Stevie, Stu, Mark, Graham, Rob and Al all need to set the Sat-nav's for Perth, dammit some of you have passed by my back door but never though to ring my bell. I've joined you and Graham on the Dark side John, the ZZR is gone and is replaced with a BMW R1250R SE 🙄😎😊 Had the Mrs on it yesterday and was worried what she might think as the Green Mean Machine was her favourite. I needn't have worried she loves the 1250 and immediately promoted it to being her new " Favourite"
@@johndiehardmclean23 now I've taken the bike to Scotland, it wants to go back again
@NooBiker Well it's the Himalayan's turn next time! 🤪✌️
"Ferry Much" the lamest attempt of a Ferry ever that 1 mate! 🤣😂👍 I'm so glad none of yous dropped your bikes getting off it,when usually the painted surface is sketchy enough to deal with, but that off ramp looked steep! 😜👍
@@johndiehardmclean23 the paint actually felt very nice and grippy! Apparently the ferry only operates in the summer months so it only gets 12 hours of rain each day
@NooBiker At least the weather doesn't put the tourists off...Like it does some of the locals...You know them good weather only riders! 🤣✌️
@@johndiehardmclean23 🤣🤣🤣
Hi AV, Michelin make an excellent tyre. I got 6k off my rear Anakee Adventure (a stock tyre on the GS1300) including two spirited riding tours in Europe. I replaced it with the new for ‘24 Anakee Road which performed admirably on a recent visit to the French alps.
Brilliant! I saw some of the pictures you posted.
Thinking about whether to get Road 6 or Anakee Road for my KTM 1290 SAS. Want to be able to go down occasional gravel roads but perform best on the road.
@@blade1535 I’m not sure Road6 give any off road grip. The Anakee Roads are 90on 10 off. Perhaps the Anakee Adventures are your best bet. I thought they were excellent but like all these tyres they have their critics.
@@blade1535 I thought the Anakee Road were pretty much tarmac tyres with an "adventure" look tread pattern
@@NooBiker yeah it looks that way. I probably do 95 percent tarmac at the moment. Mainly touring. I’ve ordered the Anakee rod and will see how they go for the road. I generally are only going down dirt roads to camp grounds or small link up sections of dirt roads so they aren’t too gnarly anyway.
These tires came on my new bike. Bmw 1250 roadster. 2500 kms, and they seem to be holding up well and dont take very long to warm up.
@@lonelybikr nice bike 👍 and yes, these tyres are always "ready to go"
Road6 are my goto tyres on my 3 bikes
@@CaptainDangeax thanks 👍 I'll probably stick with them in the future also. What's your collection?
@@NooBiker on my bikes Vstrom 650, and Versys1000, the Road6 lasted more than 20000 kms. And the Versys really felt lighter than with the previous A41 fitted on the bike when I bought it
@@CaptainDangeax brilliant, thanks! Safe riding, buddy 👍
