I recommend booking the other Disney Cruise Line ships and avoid the Wish for first time Disney cruisers because it is a very poor representation of a Disney cruise ship. Non-revenue public spaces were eliminated on the Wish including the elimination of the fully wraparound sheltered Promenade Deck and the removal of the midship lifts. The Disney Magic is still my favourite of the DCL fleet.
The Magic may be 25 years old but she doesn't feel it. It's amazing what good upkeep can do to a ship. I just booked a 5 night on the Magic that is cheaper than the 3 night itineraries on the Wish. I'll be happy to return to the Magic, she's a great ship.
@@Ben-bb7mi Absolutely agree that the Disney ships are well-maintained! It amazes me how other cruise lines allow their ships to become rust buckets! On a per night basis, one of the best value Disney cruises is on the Magic's upcoming 12-night transatlantic crossing with cruise fares starting at USD126/nt! And save more with a placeholder and other hacks!
Other than the standard trivia, etc. (which kids can attend) what is there for adults specifically for adults that’s not an extra charge? (Not including Quiet Cove.) I feel like the focus of this video was on drinking and the spa, which are both major expenses outside of what one is already paying for the cruise itself.
I think most Disney cruise ships are well suited for adults. However, it seems the Wish was designed with adults as an afterthought. The adult only section in the pool deck is far too small and it doesn't have an After Hours section like the other ships do. I think I'll stick with going on the previous 4 ships and hope the Wish's 2 upcoming sisters have these issues corrected mid construction.
Yeah, but the Quiet Cove on the Wish is Much more poorly designed than the other four ship (I’ve only been on the Wonder, as I live on the West Coast and that’s the only one sailing the Pacific, and ours seems quite a bit nicer..)…glad you enjoyed it, but I’ve heard nothing but annoyance to a lot of the adult features of this ship
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Book the Disney Magic. There's a 12-night transatlantic crossing in a couple weeks with fares starting at $1476 ($126pp/nt)! Save even more with your placeholder!
I concur with this. My experience is on the Magic (which is the same layout with just different theming in each space) but the After Hours section is something really missing from the Wish. The Adult Cove on the pool deck is fantastic on the Magic/Wonder.
Disney has changed since their start. Initially there were no bars onboard and Adult nightlife was limited. At one Caribbean port I spoke to a Disney cruiser (we were on Carnival) and he said that you could only order alcoholic drinks at dinner. My family looked into a Disney cruise and found that this has really changed now.
Amazing!!! Thanks
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the feedback. We need to try one of the other Disney ships soon.

It was our first Disney trip so it will be interesting to see how Wish compares to the other ships.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg!

So you can spend money, spend more money, get drunk, then spend more money. Sounds like post pandemic Disney in a nutshell.
Ww are booking on this ship for June 2023. It looks amazing!
Have a great cruise.
From what I’ve seen, the Disney wish is only good if you have kids, if your going alone on a DCL cruise I’d recommend the Dream-Class or Magic-Class.
