- Buddhism, like most of the great religions of the world, is divided into a number of different traditions. However, most traditions share a common set of fundamental beliefs.
The Basic Teachings of Buddha which are core to Buddhism are:
• The Three Universal Truths;
• The Four Noble Truths;
• The Noble Eightfold Path.

Nice presentation. I have a better understanding of Buddhism.
So what is the short answer
These core beliefs that u have mentioned are originally Hindu beliefs. They had already been told by our rishis and yogis in our ancient Hindu scriptures long long before even budha was born.
That is true! And it's also true for Jainism. There are many main core believes that have been adopted and changed through history of religions. Jesus was born a Jewish, Buddha was born a Hindu, Muhammad was not born as an Islam. One thing I'm sure of and why I find Buddhist teachings fascinating is that Buddhists do not believe in God, or any supreme being, while other religions teach about the Creator, or the ultimate Alpha and Omega.
@@mothug978 They do believe in God. One creator
