Wouldn't trust this paper has far as I could throw it. Yesterday they reported that the FIA and ferrari f1 team have an illegal engine then today its gone. Reporting with no prove as always

You're not going to bring in Islamic blasphemy laws on the back of accusations of 'Islamophobia'. Islam is an ideology. And a pretty bad one. And in a free society you can't outlaw criticism of ideology.

Heres a radical idea. Make it balanced. If tv news can show both sides of a debate why cant newspapers? All policies need to be discussed on both their merits and faults. Whether it be brexit, austerity, immigration, climate change etc. They should not need to be pro tory or pro labour. Just show stories the public want to read and be fair as you may get new readers and be able to widen your target audience. Newpapers are unpopular because they are all completely biased.

With the headline in 2016 calling for the silencing of opponents of Brexit, anyone would think *Anders Breivik* was the editor of that fascist newspaper at the time!

Totally wasn't expecting this. I usually still see The Express as a completely biased Tory newspaper but this interview has steered me in a new direction. This guy seems quite open minded and willing to change how media rhetoric is presented. I hope he succeeds in erasing the toxicity out of the paper.

The Express is still awful, and it's web site / Facebook page is off the scale. What GJ says does not quite stack up!

So he's known the paper since the 1960's, he's been working as newspaper guy for years-and is blaming the Express for trapping him into accepting their '5 minutes' only job offer. After this, how could anyone want to hang on for another 40 minutes of CH4.

The interview I want to see with this guy is the one where he explains the decision to put the flag of a country whose current regime's national hero is Stepan Bandera, a WW2 ultra-nationalist who led an organisation which fought alongside Nazi-Germany against the Soviet Union, and stood by or - more likely - actively supported the Germans in the murder of 1.5 MILLION Ukrainian Jews in the June-December 1941 'Holocaust By Bullets'. While evidence of their involvement in THAT genocide is only strongly circumstantial, they certainly murdered 100,000 Poles all by themselves.
It is a grave understatement to say that Jones and his editorial team fell asleep at the wheel on this one! It's not as if they hadn't had warning that something stank: starting with the Victoria Nuland/Geoffrey Pyatt US state department sponsored 2014 coup, the same regime has been removing the civil rights of a section of its own citizens and actively waged war against the region of the country where they were most concentrated (killing 14,000 citizens) from 2014 until 2022. I suppose the Daily Express could discount those facts though: they were only ethnic Russians when all was said and done. I watch with interest to see how this excuse for a newspaper will attempt to navigate its way back from having committed to a position so far on the wrong side of history.

compendious succient Are you trying to convey that usherers of abject submission to the establishment are in fact frightened out of their wits by some mirror image of their true inner being . This hypocrite is rather performative but surely would conform in a twinkling of an eye if such submission afforded him some sort of continued prominence .

Do you mean this guy is so subservient to the ruling elites that he's scared out of his wits by the "islamist " mirror image , he'd submit in a second provided he was offered a position of prominence .
Got to admit that he's at least agile and reasonably self aware .
