Thank you for the tutorial on the suspension settings. I’m still trying to find my perfect setup on it. I weigh 175lbs. I have the 900lbs spring so I will install it and see if it’s better suited for my style of riding. But so far I have been haven’t too much fun. 💯🔥
Lov the looks as its a wheel Batman wouldnt be ashamed to ride. Build quality is excellent & ET Max is no doubt (to me) the best wheel BG has ever made. My only critique, if such can be said is the excessive weight. I'm about ave 170-180lbs & I find my ex30 to be handful. No doubt I'd feel the same here. Other than that, I like everything else bout the ET Max. Hope keeps it up with better products
I'm really curious to see it perform offroad, you could fit a tire with larger knobbies here and change the pedal hight, long suspension travel and even more power but will the weight be an issue?
hi ronin, also checking this wheel together with compro and lynx.. I'm around 73kg with gears.. do you know know, for my weight if it can reach 90-100km range at least with 30kph ave and few 70-80kph burst? estimated
great review! this is definitely one of the best wheels out right now but it seems too tall so i hope that their next 168v is a good 3 inches shorter in height
@@Ronin_Ryder i like the form factor of the gt pro but it’s just so ugly and it also just seems so long forward to back. i hope they just make a 168v commander pro 50s because that looks like a perfect wheel already
yet another great video! keep up the good work man! btw how tall are you? because u mention tall riders will find this wheel great for seated riding, i'm 1.81cm and do all et-max come with 50s batteries? do u know?
@@Ronin_Ryder that's awesome! Thank you! I just had my first big one on my lynx. It came on fast and hard! Almost identical to that video that Chooch just put out the other day. I almost crashed but I accelerated out of it.
Has anyone else experienced an issue where your wheel wont turn on? Recently got mines this weekend took it for a ride around town went home tried to charge it n later it wouldnt turn on anymore. Really disappointing after spending 3600 with issues
Thanks for the useful video! Would it be possible to see the number of the new software that made ET better? I also have ET Max, but I'm a bit afraid of software updates :) . If I knew what worked well for you, I would upgrade.
9:41 Compression/preload is simple, less compression softer feels easier to bottom out so unless you are doing large jumps and drops no compression will feel better/softer. Rebound is a little more confusing, at the rebound all the way up it takes the wheel a few seconds to come back after the suspension gets loaded at 0 the suspension will spring back instantly, why would you want either? Well at high speed on a perfect road riding with stiff legs if you hit a hole with 0 rebound dampening it can actually pogo stick you up, not fun, so some compression dampening is recommended. But offroad when you hit a bump after a bump after a bump 0 rebound is the best choice cause then the tire moves up and down instead of you, making the ride smoother and faster. I can't believe it took me 5 months of riding my wheel not at 0 rebound offroad to try it and see the difference finally.
Couple of things, "compression/preload" are not the same thing. Preload is controlled by the spring, whereas compression and rebound are hydraulically damped. Rebound and compression dampening are best thought of in terms of "fast and slow" rather than "soft and hard". Increased dampening slows down the shock stroke during compression and rebound. Less dampening decreases dampening resistance on the spring.
GPS doesn't work well here and especially in tunnels, so i guess you are refering to wheel speed. If you were refering to gps speed I've seen a video of a rider on the gt pro showing 88mph gps but the rider didn't travel in time so it made me question the reliability of gps speed...😉
@@Ronin_Ryder maybe it was faulty app, phone or other gps device. I have been using gps all the time for the past 15 years on various devices and not ever once I noticed any of them showing any speed when I was standing still. It obviously lags a second but that's it. And it was always the same speed that shows on radar screens next to roads for me. I absolutely trust gps more than every vehicle speedometer or any wheel app readings. They all show more than the actual speed and the only question is by how much.
Why are you pumping up a nitrogen charged, hydraulically damped coil spring shock? That valve is for nitrogen to pressurise the oil in the shock. Pretty sure you don't want to touch it.
Thank you for this video.. I am 225lbs, and 6'4. My ET MAX will be delivered mid April. Are those the stock pads you have on in this video?? Also the Red LED lights underneath look amazing , I haven't seen that in other videos and was hoping it comes like that...does it or did you do that?? Black and Red, Clean and not overdone... looks really Slick like a Demon Wheel.. Thanks again I now know what I can expect since u weight only 10lbs more.
Pads and lights are my own additions, hence why you didn't see these elsewhere. You can customize your wheel the way you like, thats whats great with eucs.
I've been a long time fan of yours! I'm going to nyc for the first time april 9-april12. I'd love to rent an euc and ride around new york city? do you know if any shops would allow a rental? or any people who would be willing? I also want to check out the EUC HQ. what is the name of the place you all gather at? I don't see the Kung Fu Tea in front of Bull McCabes anymore :(
I didn't say that. I said it wasn't there and then got included after giving feedback. You are the one exaggerating saying it's new while I never said that. Smh.
@@Ronin_Ryder I’m interested in seeing what the euc market specs will look like even a year from now. It’s advancing very rapidly, I personally think having a top speed of 55mph is plenty enough, get pretty dman dangerous even at those speeds. I would like to see 4800wh battery standard and lots of torque where all the fun is at with better safety margins.

Sorry to hear that. Did you see the video that Chooch made on his Lynx crash? I've had two wobbles on my Lynx also. But it's a good thing that I don't go too fast. I was able to get out of both of them by accelerating. One was super close and I almost bit it. I'm 58 and I don't wanna crash! 😂😂 I'm 165 pounds and I was running my tire at 26 psi. I now have my tire all the way down to 19 psi and I've tested it by hitting a few curbs and I'm good, not touching the rim. I've tested it a number of times now and it is far less likely to start a wobble at those lower pressures. But I know a lot of people wouldn't want to go that low. I can say that running the Lynx off road at those lower pressures is amazing, I just blast through rocky chunky stuff and it just eats it up. I think you are right, the ET max is going to be a better wheel for people who like to go fast on the pavement. I will not take my Lynx over 40 miles an hour.
@@d_skrilla6479 totally agree with you. However, if your budget allows the Lynx is amazing on dirt trails where you're not hitting those higher speeds. I did a 20 mile dirt road where some of it was massively bumpy due to cattle ruining it when the road was soft and muddy. the lynx will just blast through that stuff and you can keep your speed over 20 miles an hour. I even hit hit a section of river cobbles which is usually pretty scary but if you keep your speed up you can blast right through it. So there is an aspect of the Lynx that is pretty awesome. but I had a high speed wobble on the pavement also and it scared the heck out of me.
