Just a quick tip: the brothel and military base are your best friend. If you get an assault rifle from trading with the military, raid the brothel. You will be swimming in guns that can be used for trades with franko and the military for food and ammo.

I just get a pistol in the abandoned cottage, repair it, go to the supermarket, kill those people, get the shotguns, craft a hatchet, get some bullets, and totally DESTROY the military base. I did it today on my livestream, next is the brotherl and airport.

You know how to get a knife right?
Go to the supermarket, kill the soldier (single handedly) and here you go.
I know I'm kind late but I usually get gun from the soldier in supermarket (if he is there) or I get a gun in the small apartment building (by killing the son) or at the military outpost (by trading moonshine or cigarettes)

In my opinion, having marin, is one of the biggest advantages that you can have, marin is a handyman, so he can build things faster and with less resources.

With katia to trade the pure alcohol, I really think Bruno should not be underestimated. But Boris is my favorite. 17 carry capacity is a game changer.

Arica isn't really a sociopath compared to the other two, she still cares for the well being of her group, neighbors and good people so I assume she will have the hardest time to stay normal/happy in this playthrough. Interesting to see.
She isn't untill she is... I've just survived with Roman, Bruno, Arica start and it's true what they say - apart from going solo with Marko it's the hardest gameplay. As soon as the characters become sad or lower, Roman left at home with Bruno means they will fight each other and Bruno will be wounded in the morning, so you can no longer use Arica sealth skills to get easy knife kills - you should have a fire arm for Roman past that point, to send him and separate the guys. Bruno spends 45days wounded in bed pretty much - he won't fucking heal because he argues with others. So not only you use bandages for nothing but also all characters are depressed because of the arguments. Then Arica when depressed, steals all food from base and runs away. That leaves you praying for Roman to not get wounded when looting, while wounded Bruno does the housewife. He also gets sick, cause upgraded heater stacked full provides like 16 celsius durring winter. I liked him in other gameplays because he wouldn't care about morality as long as provided cigaretts, but in this run I honestly considered sending him on a raid just to get killed, because of the burden he was for everyone.
End credits say Arica ran away and became the leader of a gang of underage looters. I guess stabbing 6 people (4 innocent) made her a sociopath xD

Selling moonshine will earn you less from trader than selling the raw materials needed for moonshine, unless you have both Bruno for making it and Katia for trading.

21:00 My guess is that the game takes place in autumn. Even though the announcers have some dialogue bits hinting at several seasons passing, it also makes sense that it's all in the same season. Don't know how much you know about Ex-Yugoslavia, or Bosnia specifically, but while summers are usually very hot and humid, autumn and winter can be terribly cold. Towards the end of autumn, it's very possible to have warm and sunny days interspersed with cold fronts that will freeze your toes off and even deep snow. Plus, the natural temperatures in this game range from +16 to -1 °C, which really isn't that unusual. The other possibility is that the game does indeed take place over several seasons that are far shorter, to simulate the fact that the Siege of Sarajevo, which the game is based on, actually went on for four whole years. But a game that long would become utterly boring and unbalanced, so you have to compromise a little.

You'll probably do more good than bad if you aim for Military folks and Bandits.
Now don't get me wrong, aiming for those peeps may be dangerous but with Arica early on equipped with a knife you'll guarantee easy kills. And later Roman with a rifle should you get one. And I know you're going for a ruthless playthrough, but going for these guys as your main priority instead of the other more innocent ones can make Arica and Bruno happy.
Oh and, count your stacks man. You had 2 components taking one entire inventory slot instead of either switching it out with another more useful material or getting more components in. Regardless, best of luck.

You can raid every dangerous location with any character, maybe except Cveta & Anton. But all others can kill from hidden spot.

I just recently got back into this game and never watched anything on it when it first came out. I like how you do what I do and stack everything in one pile before first exiting so you can just go back and fourth easy.
I love how temperature is shown Celsius in my game and Fahrenheit in yours. I wasn't aware there is different copies available especially that I bought mine online. Btw, that is a lucky starter! :O
Actually, you can change Celsius into Fahrenheit via Options, second, that is the usual starter for the Bruno-Roman-Arica Team.

The trader asked if they had any items they would like to trade, while making small talk The Paragons Of Virtue ask "Heard any rumours later?", The trader looks down, as he looks up his eyes... his eyes filled with tears of sorrow, he struggles to say "People'ave been saying, men like demons, eyes glowing a dark red striking fear into their eyes, slaughteres people, with no regret no hesitation..."... The Paragons Of Virtue then close the door... They gasp for breathe and look at each other...

A fun thing I learned much later, hence only commenting now ha, is that Emilia the lawyer is also extremely apathetic, having a low morale code. Figures the Lawyer would have that.

I was very aggressive, but only when I encountered very bad people, I enjoyed killing bandits,
especially when I found the dead owner who was locked in the basement by bandits, I was sorry I didn't get to the house sooner and save him.

This game is not just about surviving, but how you survive without doing anything that is against human morality. If you can survive without stealing, you are a true winner. Can you survive without stealing from the old couple and from the hospital or any other places? Scavenging is not the same as "stealing".
i really like the thumbnails pravus. similar but different to get the point across. i think we call that 'elegant'
Cooking is useless? In what world. He uses less water to make food, and will use less water and less sugar to make moonshine. As a trade resource being able maximize efficiency on that is huge. All tops 3 components, 2 wood, 3 sugar, and 3 water maked 2 pure alcohol, which is enough to buy bandages, medicine, and food. Any time franko comes around just buy all his wood, components, sugar, and water and you'll see how fast it gets out of hand.you'll want for nothing.
And Roman can clear an entire bandit location solo with just a knife and not even take damage. That means swimming in guns, ammo, and even possibly body armor. And those locations are guarded for a reason. After Roman clears then out the spoils of food and meds will be worth several trips in.

@Pravus Gaming I've been playing the game quite often (nearly completed all scenarios except for the Cveta and Anton one) and I've made some observations:
1 Watch out if you make Roman sad, I've had instances where he either drinks a crap ton of booze or begins to pick a fight with other team members (1st incident he fought w/ Bruno in the scenario that had Arica, 2nd incident is in my playthrough w/ Roman and Katia scenario but Boris came in around day 20ish, Roman fought w/ Boris)
2 a) If you have the Little Ones DLC, you COULD make Roman content via getting the kid to imprint on him + get him to interact with the kid (tried this in a custom scenario w/ Roman, Marko, and Kalina but takes HEAPS of effort). Gold star if you also send Roman to help neighbors + do good stuff in the scavenging locations.
b) When I got Roman to the content level, I used him again to kill everyone in the military outpost and BAM! the content level is gone
3) On the subject of fighting w/ other team members, my recent custom scenario had Arica and Katia + Kalina. I sent Katia to kill Bozena (the one w/ shotgun in semi-detached house in the girls scenario) + steal shizz and she got depressed to the point where the next day I got a popup saying 'Katia got into a fight w/ Arica' O__O (has this happened to other players?)
Maybe because Bozena was a civil, not a bandit, even she was armed.

Hehe i waited so long for a bandit walktrough in this game on this channel. Btw you can make erica die and wait until katia knock on the door and replaced her and get boris in the 4th slot for the party. Ultimate team:bruno,boris,roman,katia. Its super easy to beat the game with those 4 people. Roman can go in murder the enemy and next night boris come and collect all the stuff from the location. Bruno can save you TONS of water which is super effective in winter time and katia can get you really good deals with franko and the other traders. Super fun and easy way to beat the game.
but that does sound a bit too easy unfortunately. heck, his default team is strong enough as is. sure the lack of "home" skill hurts but insignificant given how you'll be swimming in resources after getting a gun, heck even a knife can get you far.

i personally think that Marin, Roman, Zlata, and Marco are the best. Zlata can help someone if they are feeling down, Marin can build things faster and with less resources, Roman can go in, kill everyone, then Marco can go in and take all the resources, Boris does have one more inventory space, true, but Marco is faster than Boris making quick time with the location.
Wind is probably a safe assumption for closed doors. These building mostly have holes from the bombings/shellings so plenty of wind will get in. And if the doors still have a functioning latch, all it takes is 1 gust over the 24 hours to shut it and then the latch will catch keeping it shut.

Do you know about the stacking trick? When you go to scavenge a place, take all the items you can carry and drop it in one spot (something in the middle of the map, so there's easy access to it). You do that until every single item on the entire map is concentrated on one spot, and then when you come back the next night you don't have to go running around to find everything and wonder where is this one thing you remembered being there - it's all concentrated for you on one pile!

Tbh to get a gun I just make a knife and go to the airport. Two sneak attacks later you have two guns and can take on bigger strongholds
It sounds scary on the description. But it's easy to stealth kill both of them.
Guns are useless. Except for trading.
You defend your shelter the same with knife.
And you kill the same with knife.
And you need no ammo.
I was hoping you'd play this run with a child. It would be more of a challenge and a lot more interesting in my opinion.

You even don't need Roman to clear any dangerous location. Zlata with a shovel is OK. Or anyone else except Cveta and Anton.

Yes, Bruno, Roman and Arica normally get depressed when you killed an old couple and the hospital (If it's not the hospital, I don't know.).
