17:43 to 17:50, WES Evaluation is valid for 5 Years and not 10 Years.
22:18 to 22:30, that's true. I didn't hit my target score for Writing but it's all good.
38:34 to 39:10, After 29 you lose 5 Points, and after 30, 6 Points. It's 5 Points if your New Age will be an Even Number and 6 Points if your New Age will be an Odd Number.
43:50 to 44: 47, having a Brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada gives you an additional 15 Points to your CRS Score, and yes in some provinces having a relation there is advantageous to your PR Process
50:38 to 50:57, Proof of Funds for Express Entry as a Single Person is now C$14,690.00.

Hi Barbara, I am 42 years old and next year April I will be 43 years. I am also a civil engineer and to be precise a water resources engineer. Do I have a chance for applying for the express entry? Though I am seeking for a PhD opportunity in Canada or USA.
The first thing is to check your CRS score. I made a video on that. I also added it at the end of the video. Based on your score, I can advice
There is a category based draw for civil engineers as an in demand skill so all hope may not be lost for you

You should do the simulation and check the CRS Scores for yourself and your husband and then decide who should be Principal and who should be Dependent.

It has nothing to do with whether you have a job or not at the time of applying. You should have work experience for a minimum of 1 year

It depends on your score. She got selected in 2 months. Some people have been in the pool for 1 year and more

You do. Start by checking your score
If you have done national service, use it as work experience. That will make you meet the requirement. Zero work experience will disqualify you.
