    Have been watching comparing videos between both cameras, i think this video is best of them all
    Very detailed and simple, thanks allot man

    Great comparison. Both are great but I chose the FX3 over the A7SIII because for my use case it was a no brainer. It's a beast of a camera (as is the A7SIII).

    I found this video very useful, and of course I can't neither of these cameras...for now

    Excellent, in depth, I love how you mention phantom power for the top handle. I am a fan of Sony HARDWARE but not a fan of their SOFTWARE minus CineTone, it feels so archaic and clunky to navigate...however they have really good sensors and build quality. This FX3 has been on my watch list due to its size (mainly for gimbal use and run and gun, cinematic situations) but also the all rigging you can do to it. I hope they fix the left side mount with that HDMI door otherwise if I get one I will just rip that door off and use a rubber port gasket to protect when no cable is plugged in.
    Keep up these videos as this one was very detailed!

    Best review by far. Nobody explained the XLR options like you did. 👍🏼

  • @ResizeFilms

    FX3 is way more suitable and reliable camera for professional video work hands down.
    XLR inputs, active cooling system, mounting points, tally lights, top handle, makes much more sense for any sort of filmmaking.

      except from these things you mentioned, do you think the video/image quality of both cameras is the same though?

    neither is perfect for me yet, I like the fx3 but don't care about the XLR part, don't even use that (I use mostly wireless or smaller shot gun mic) wish they had a package option for cheaper without it, but like the other features of the FX3, but I do also do some photos and use the view finder too. I guess I am still leaning to the a7s3 just a little bit more. good video.

    I watched this video in the past, just because I was browsing. Now that i have purchased a FX3, I remembered a few things you mentioned, so I came back to it, and realized that you said a lot of very useful information worth noting. Thank you for being detailed and explaining quite well each category. I had to hit the subscribe button once I saw how much you went the extra mile with the layout of this information. Very much appreciated.

    FX3 lacks so many cinema features - shutter angle, DCI 4K, waveform, timecode, true 24p - that it is already a huge miss, not to mention the lack of internal ND, dual bottom screw hole, removable EVF, hybrid articulating screen.

    Hi Mark,
    Viele Grüße
    Dennis

      Vielen Dank, Dennis! Seh Ich im Wesentlichen genau so. I weiß auch nicht recht wozu es die Kamera gibt.....aber, ich arbeite ja unter anderem auch für einen Fotoladen und der schifft die Dinger ganz gut raus. Das ist halt alles Profipublikum, die wollen wahrscheinlich die Kühlung habe denk ich mir. SIII mit dem K3M ist ja auch ne tolle möglichkeit. Bin auch MEGA zufrieden mit der SIII. Geiles Teil! Gruß!

    how long is the batterylife in 4k 60p at these both?

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just straight up recording I can get to 2 hours of footage, running and gunning it can drop to 60min.....depends...

    • @derrickrr5516
      @derrickrr5516 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I second that. If you waste time going through the menu for example you will lose battery life fast! I’m not super impressed with the FZ100 battery. You better have two, three or four of them. For my A1 I have a battery pack (can’t get one for the FX3) and four batteries total. I could still burn through those four batteries in half a day if I’m shooting a LOT. It’s not horrible but it’s pretty bad. Sorry. Wish I had better news.

    Great video, helps a lot!
    I am looking to buy this camera for over two weeks now, but the biggest doubt I had is that I thought it wasn't possible to use a external monitor and the handle at the same time. This is the first rigging setup that make it seem possible. What do you use to attach the monitor to the back of the handle? Is it strong enough? Cheers!

    Vielen Dank für Ihr Video. Es ist wichtig zu verstehen, dass die Sony A7SIII die Funktion "Real-time Tracking" Autofokus bietet, mit der Sie ein ausgewähltes Objekt während der Aufnahme kontinuierlich verfolgen können. Diese Funktion ist auch bei 4K-Videos mit bis zu 120 Bildern pro Sekunde (fps) verfügbar?

  • @gabefernandez1

    I often see people using G-master photo lenses and am not sure if it is that beneficial to use a lens made for a video like the 28-135mm PZ by Sony. I see you have these lenses and would like you to show the benefits and differences of using both in the style you made this video because it was very helpful. I am planning on going to separate the photography cameras from video cameras and think the 28-135 PZ is the way to go but am not sure if its the right move, because there is not much to go off of online all I know, is everyone is using photo lenses on TH-cam. why is that? Is a video lens obsolete? Thanks for what you do.

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What lens you use really depends on what results you want to get. Photo lenses are cheaper than cinema lenses. That is the main reason youtubers use them - it is compared to cinema glass, a budget option. Also if youÄre a hybrid shooter, because you do thumbnails and instagram it makes sense to use a photo lens.
      I should do a video comparison in this style....I will---thanks for the idea Gabriel!

  • @derrickrr5516

    Where did you get that left handle and will it work with the small rig half cage? I got this camera for my dad, along with the 28-135 f/4 cine lens (he’s paying me to order it and set it up. I don’t have that kind of money 😉). My biggest complaint is the ergonomics. I can’t figure out how he’s going to hold it comfortably. He’s use to camcorders. I personally don’t like the top handle. At least not for using as a handle. Seems like a side handle would work better.

    Thanks this helped more than any of the other comparison videos I’ve watched. I have an a7siii and have been wondering about the fx3 .
    A couple of things I do like about the fx3 that seem super important for me . One is the tally light . That’s something I see being super useful. There have been times I believe I’m filming in the heat of a live music show and after jumping in front of another camera and blocking it’s shot I didn’t hit record on the a7siii . The little red REC isn’t seen well by a blind videographer in the heat of battle .

      You mean the FX6? Or the FS5? FX6 I guess. If you still have the money to rig it yuo get internal NDs which is awesome, bigger form factor. If all I was doing was Image Videos and music videos the FX6 would be better I think. But for a hybrid shooter and youtouber I prefer the SIII.
