Great shelter! But anyone that is that great with their dog and his dog obviously loves him as much, shows the kind of person you truly are. I wish more people treated their companions with that much love and friendship.
Such an elegant solution, the fire by the face of the rock, to block prevailing wind and use rock as a heat sink. And the tree bark and the elegant hiearchy of the parts, and the good dog too. Bravo
Doğanın malzemelerini kullanarak barınak yapman çok güzel senden sonra eminim ormanın gerçek sahiplerine bu barınaktan yararlanırlar ve doğada hayatta kalma becerisiyle ilgili bilgilendiriyor teprik ediyorum videoların devamı gelsin temennisiyle
Here's a guy that's cool. He shares his shelter and his food with his dog. Shows he cares. Like that shelter build using tree bark for the cover. Would never thought of that. Also that knife/chisel is interesting although I think I'd bring a fork along too. Those boots are nice, they come up really high. Nice video.
Thanks a lot my man! Appreciate it. The Machete is very cool oli agree it is different and extremely versatile I had it for 20 years beating the crap out of it before I lost it and immediately bought another. Glad you enjoyed the vid and I gave my dog Bella a pat for ya 🐕🍻 Have a great day
I respect your outdoorsman ship. But I especially love that you love your dog and I can tell your dog loves you by the way that your dog always manages to jump right into your shelters and give you a look like a dad. This is a nice one where are you going to sleep?

Great to see someone put the fire close enough to the shelter to actually get some heat. And to use the big rock as heat reflection. Great video. Jake McClellan The Oregon Boy.
Thanks a lot Jake. Yes it worked excellent and the rock not only reflected the heat it also woarmed up a lot and created radiant heat as well. This is wht a large rock is superior imo to other heat reflector systems. It was super warm and comfortable that night. Best night ive had in years. Thanks for tuning in
I really enjoyed this video. I kayak camp to islands or places where no one else is around. I "tow" another kayak,so I can bring enough gear, food, etc for a week or more. This year I did 12 expeditions to lakes and rivers. For me, getting out there is the ultimate! Some people know what I mean about that. Thanks for the videos!
Sounds perfect Charlie I feel the same way. It's all about getting out there. I enjoy the Bushcraft in the solitude of the forest and keeping busy as well as lengthy expeditions filled with lots of travel and exoration it is all great when out in the wild. Have a great holiday season

Hi Skip. Met you while doing trail magic just below Pawling NY. You told me in conversation that you were going Thailand. Glad to see you made it. And congratulations on finishing the AT!! Jeff
Will you go back to this site? So creative to use everything that nature gave you, it actually looks "cozy" and that's coming from a girl who'd rather be clamping. Your fur kid seems to enjoy it as well. I just subscribed.
I have been back several times yes and you're right it was very cozy it was so nice with the fire at out heads all bundled up inside the shelter such a peaceful sleep. Fur kid loved it all for sure 🐕 Thanks for the sub 😁
Nice hut and looks like it was equally cozy too. I can say one thing, don't ever challenge your dog to an eating contest. She will win every time... lol Thumbs Up!
Hats off sir for this effort no annoying music, no talking just you the beautiful friend and mother nature Stay safe, strong, and the most important warm from greece✌😃
So here's my thoughts on the video. 1) Strong young fella 2) A super companion (dog) 3) Purpose of video; Go into the woods, build a shelter and cook. My comments from this point, are directed solely at the practicality of the excursion and the usefulness of the content. I come at this from a very narrow point of view. My point of view will differ radically from most of those who's comments reflect admiration for the efforts made to produce a shelter for one night (assuming it was just one night). I watch a lot of videos which seem to subscribe to the same theme as this one and with rare exception, the elaborate construction of very primitive type shelter seems to dominate the video. All the cutting and dragging and notching and lashing of (usually) dead trees, with the exception of the pine bough bedding, consumes an enormous amount of energy and is always accomplished with a variety of hand tools which had to be carried in, along with food and utensils and sleeping pad and sleeping bag along with many other items which will be needed to spend a night in the woods. All the necessary gear minus a light weight tent are stuffed into a backpack that appears to weigh 50 lbs or more. Add to that the camera equipment and I'll be you hauled in excess of 65 lbs into the woods to make a very rudimentary shelter, which, was probably good protection against the wind and would have left you soaking wet if there had been any appreciable amount of rain. So here's my question. Why would anyone in their right mind go to all that trouble to spend a night in a very uncomfortable shelter in order to try to impress people with their primitive ingenuity to build something that took so much time and effort? If someone is in a basic survival predicament, the likelihood that they would have the tools and the gear to build such a shelter is very doubtful, much less the time to do it. So, in my humble opinion, these clever ideas of debarking trees and all that was involved in making that shelter is largely a fools errand.. Nice idea for a shelter, but totally impractical.
hello my best friend wow what a fun adventure and you managed to make a SHELTER from bark it's very extraordinary I really like it and the dog always follows you on your journey very funny really okay hard work very extraordinary success always for you
Thanks Sam! Hope you find some. When you find some try not to dig it out too deep, Leave an inch or so sticking out of the tree so it will grow back again and again and you can keep harvesting it 🍻
Tree bark cutting was just amazing :)
