Hi Everyone, I am really proud to present my Part 2 video on What's Happening in Beautiful Ancient Bagan historic sites and lifestyle of how the ordinary local people lived in present Bagan. Although there were difficult situations in all of Myanmar, Bagan also had their own complications during my time in Bagan. I wasn't able to travel across the river to visit Tantkyi Taung Pagoda. This pagoda is one of the 5 Tooth Relic Pagoda (also called " Swerdaw" Pagoda) of Bagan. During our stay, we can hear fighting going on across the river early in the morning. In light of difficult situations, we try our best to enjoy our time talking with the locals, and the local food and culture. My sister, Esther (Ms Ei Ei Phyo), was able to get a removable tattoo from the local artist and we enjoyed visiting several Bagan markets for tourists. We also enjoyed our visit to Ananda Pagoda, Shwe Zi Gon Pagoda, and Gaw Daw Palin Pagoda.
Let me share with you a short background of Bagan.
Bagan is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar, renowned for its stunning array of Buddhist temples, pagodas, and monasteries. Here are some key highlights:
    Historical Significance
Capital of the Pagan Kingdom: From the 9th to the 13th centuries, Bagan served as the capital of the Pagan Kingdom, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar.
Architectural Marvels: During its peak, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas, and monasteries were constructed. Today, more than 2,200 of these structures still stand.
    UNESCO World Heritage Site
Recognition: In 2019, Bagan was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its cultural and historical significance.
Sacred Landscape: The site features an exceptional range of Buddhist art and architecture, including numerous temples, stupas, monasteries, and places of pilgrimage.
    Tourist Attractions
Temple-Hopping: Visitors can explore the vast array of temples, each with unique architectural styles and historical significance.
Hot-Air Balloon Rides: One of the most popular activities is taking a hot-air balloon ride to witness the breathtaking sunrise or sunset over the temple-studded landscape.
Local Crafts: Bagan is also known for its traditional lacquerware, and visitors can learn about this craft and even try their hand at making it.
    Geography
Location: Bagan is situated on a bend of the Irrawaddy River in the central plains of Myanmar, covering an area of about 104 square kilometers.
Bagan’s rich history and stunning scenery make it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in culture, history, and architecture.
    Arts and Crafts
Bagan is renowned for its traditional crafts, with lacquerware being the most famous. Here are some unique crafts and products from Bagan:
    Lacquerware
Craftsmanship: Bagan’s lacquerware is highly regarded for its quality and intricate designs. Artisans use natural materials like bamboo and wood, coating them with sap from the lacquer tree to create durable and beautiful items.
Products: Common lacquerware items include bowls, cups, plates, trays, and decorative pieces. Each piece is often hand-painted and engraved with elaborate designs.
    Sand Paintings
Technique: Sand paintings are another unique craft from Bagan. Artists use colored sand to create detailed images, often depicting scenes from Buddhist mythology or daily life in Bagan.
Products: These paintings are typically done on cloth and can be framed or used as wall hangings.
    Wood Carvings
Craftsmanship: Skilled woodcarvers in Bagan create intricate sculptures and reliefs, often depicting religious themes or traditional Burmese motifs.
Products: Items range from small decorative pieces to large panels and statues.
    Textiles
Weaving: Traditional weaving techniques are used to produce beautiful textiles, including longyi (a type of sarong) and scarves.
Products: These textiles are often made from silk or cotton and feature intricate patterns and vibrant colors.
    Pottery
Craftsmanship: Pottery in Bagan is made using traditional methods, with artisans shaping and firing clay to create various items.
Products: Common pottery items include pots, vases, and decorative figurines.
These crafts not only reflect the rich cultural heritage of Bagan but also provide a livelihood for many local artisans.

May all foreign tourists start coming back to the beautiful country. Comparison between pre 2020 and now is so tragic.

Practice makes perfect and the cost is so cheap for the kind of talents he provided. Further, it included the cost of the removable paint / ink.
