I think we can thank the swifties for the drop in egg prices. I didn't believe in the power, but they tweeted to Taylor Swift, who wasn't aware of how expensive they had gotten & and boom, she said she was on it. Next thing you know, egg prices were down. Like less than a week! It was crazy.

For syrup, buy a bottle of maple extract and add your own sugar, water. You don't need to cook it long. Tastes better than fake maple from store and loads cheaper.

These videos are so satisfying. They really help with the anxiety that inflation has brought on with the larger hauls. Seeing the price differences between the smaller hauls and larger hauls can feel a bit overwhelming, but both are normal and they do average out. Buying the best buys where and when you can is really the best way to keep averaging that out and these videos are a great reminder of that.

Syrup: 1 part brown sugar 1 part white sugar 1 part water , heat on stove top til simmering. Remove from heat then add splash of vanilla. Or use 2 parts white sugar 1 part water and add molasses. RE Cauliflower, not sure if you knew this, but the green leaves on the side can be used similarly to cabbage. I know so many people that cut that part off and throw it away or compost it (which is great too), but you can do so much with it for yourself as well. When you’re trying to save money, it’s such a waste to not use that portion as food. Heck, you could even make sauerkraut or kimchi (both full of probiotics) or just use it in stir fry or add it to a bowl of ramen. So many uses!
Also, yes, i like cauliflower raw dipped in ranch as well lol! fellow cajun texan here

Most of my shopping is at Winco. They have the best overall prices around and they are employee owned so the staff are amazing!

I'm in New Jersey and the price of eggs was up to 7 to 8 ish dollars a dozen and about 13 for 18 count of eggs. Not it's almost back to regular price. I love your videos because I'm a stay at home mom and husband works. You help me with ideas for just how to shop smarter and waist less.

Wow….love your prices there! The Braga Farms brand of cauliflower you had comes from farms here locally (Soledad CA-Monterey County). Dole/Taylor Farms is local too…We now have a grocery outlet last month & loving that we finally have some other choices…I’ll be looking for the clearance shelves too! Thx again & I’ll send you some sunshine to melt that snow 💕☀️☀️☀️☀️

It’s April 2 and I’m southeast of Edmonton Alberta Canada and there is still snow on the ground and the ground is still frozen so you’re not alone on the “man it’s cold here”

My Kroger's marks things down BUT the people that work there always pick thru it before they bring it out. Hey more power to ya, everyone needs to save. Thanks for sharing!

Always love your grocery haul videos! Do you have any special tips for freezing loaves of bread or smaller bakery rolls/slider rolls? Do you recommending repackaging a specific way before freezing? Also, does deli meat freeze well? I’ve never thought about it but if you can find a good price, it would be good to know. Thanks so much for any tips you might have! 😀

Eggs are now the bargain price of 1.99/dozen at my Kroger affiliate and Walmart is about the same or a bit less. So proud of you for passing up the clearance protein at Fred Meyer! I know it took restraint!😂👏 🤚 to canned green beans (cook them with some bacon) but my dieting dog gets a can of green beans daily.
