Good analysis that sums Firpo up. It’s a relief to see players coming in and being Decent for us now. I can only assume having a preseason with farke and being given proper instruction on what’s expected is benefiting him

Yep, enjoyed that. Good idea Max. La mujer enjoyed it too. She had a season ticket back in O'Leary's days, but she is sick of my LUFC content addiction. Trouble is that my Velenciano mates don't want to talk about Leeds. Saludos.

He is benefitting from a good coach who is teaching how to work in a system. Credit to Farke

Firpo for me has improved massively under Farke. Farke's system of play seems to suit him, and he is playing well at this level. However I am not convinced that he is premier league level. MOT

I agree that it comes down to lack of system fit. According to Marsch, he was one of the most athletic players he had coached (Clear to see that his speed, vertical, agility, and touch are good). Best positions are LWB or LM unless he can improve 1 v 1 defending and positional awareness. Offensively, good with overlaps and crossing, decent aerially, but not much of a threat shooting the ball. Strong passing the ball around and keeping possession which seems to be a large part of DF's tactics.
There's potential for him to convert to a prem-ready LB option, so I'd love to see him turn into a lockdown, two-way LB who can net some set piece headers. Hard to adapt playing style while dealing with injuries... so let's see.
    ¡Vamos Junior! MOT.

Good honest assessment, and I have to put my hand up to admit that in the premiership, there were occasions when I did rename him Junior Faux pas!😅. P'raps a bit mean but....

He has turned it around with great form and we need him to keep it going for promotion.

He's improved hell of alot but I still think he's a liability defending, makes at least a couple of serious mistakes each game and his concentration is poor. But for all the stick he's had can't fault his effort

If Firpo was a boxer he'd throw spinning backhands. In the Prem, Firpo will be targeted again. It will put a familiar pressure on the fans each game but I hope for the best. Firpo makes me remember Dallas. Oh Dallas how we miss you brother!

Firpo is more than good enough for where the club is now , should we go up I would want a LB who is better at defending

Firpo os doing whats needed but alonh with many others i think an upgrade will be required od we do get promoted

Doing well against average wingers .
I think as soon as a decent winger comes
Up against him ,he will struggle
    Good luck junior.

I don’t agree that he got twisted by every winger in the prem, he quite often performed decently, he got twisted up by maybe Salah but most left backs would.

Well I'd be looking at Leicester just got smashed by Liverpool and we have Chelsea next. That would be a great topic of conversation, after all if we lose to Chelsea a big question will be asked are Leeds & Leicester ready to go back up.. just a thought...sorry!

He's good and always was. It goes in cycles. Someone says a player is bad and then everyone repeats tht. Some even make up faux "analysis" to "prove" it. It's total bullshit to say he was "twisted up" by wingers. Archie Gray got done by Liam Millar but you'd never saay he was bad.

Felt sorry for Firpo. (And a few others) under Bielsa and JM. All this man marking crap. He’s finally getting a proper chance. Zonal is the way forward. Under Farke we’re looking as good as we have looked for ages. 🤞we can push on 😁👍

This is a real ignorant comment. There was no man-marking under Marsch and we got worse. Bielsa's man-marking was very successful.

I'd prefer Junior moved on, want someone more reliable. Thought Byram was far ahead as a RB at Plymouth. Like Junior but fitness and positioning decision-making mean I don't think he should be our LB - unless we stay in the Champo next year

His game has improved, and it's a matter of whether that's it now, or whether it's just the start.
Would be great if he kept getting better and proved everyone wrong.
