Just got all the old games on pc cus of these videos. I've never actually played 1. Can't wait to play through Brotherhood again now that I'm old enough to comprehend the more complex Parkour you can do. Haven't played since the 360. Been binging your vids, and other channels for AC1. Can't wait to dye my outfit that awesome green and run around Roma.
Ay, nice! I'm so happy you get to re experience all of these beautiful games. Thanks for checking my stuff out, and I hope you'll have fun once you get to replaying! Also, I'm so glad I helped motivate you to get the old games in the first place.
you mastered the game like a true master, perfect calculation of your movements,it is realy hard to move like that if we don't practice enough . keep it up dude . good work
Good shit, I don't wanna think about how long this probably took you, 4 minute clip like this with no apparent mistakes would drive me insane, I also really appreciate the catch ledge usage here, it feels so good to use pre-AC3
Hahah, took waaaay too long. The amount of tries killed me lmao. Really glad you enjoyed the ledge catches too! It's crazy satisfying landing a good one.
Thank you! It's all about learning how to control him. The truth is that AC1 - Revelations have the most controllable parkour in the franchise, but do a terrible job of teaching the player anything as you go through gameplay. Once you find out how to pull off all the moves at your disposal (and quickly so), it becomes super fun.
I have some sequences in mind, although I'm not sure if they're quality enough yet. Definitely want to either record those or anything else in Revelations, though! It's my favorite game after all
I agree that certain parts of AC3 can look clunkier than the the classic games, but its movement system also has some strong points. I can definitely appreciate its raw parkour down, vaulting etc., but the tigher eject timeframes + occasionally weird animation blending makes me prefer this system more.
I really don't understand why the "Evolution" or "Perfect Parkour-but-is-side-building-running" vids keep getting ridiculous amounts compared to experienced players actually showing such dyanmism in the free run mechanics.
Because the visual spectacle of one fitting animation that actually happens once 500 jumps during normal gameplay, is sadly more likely to gain traction and turn heads than runs with actual experience, consistency, and a good game behind them. A good thing I've noticed lately is that the technical community is actually growing despite all of that. So many people are getting inspired to replay these games, get deep into their mechanics and even start up their own channels sometimes - I absolutely love seeing it happen.
I don't mind Arno's character in that game at all, but I don't like that its whole story revolves so closely around his emotional connection. It feels like he's severely underexplored despite having a ton of potential, just like anything else in that game's story. But yeah, Unity's parkour is absolutely not the best imo, and a lot of people simply say that because of the gratification of the occasional visual spectacle it provides, without even looking any deeper into the mechanics of any ACs.
2:33 Back eject-> bar swing and off balcony-> landed on hay and other insane moves
Bro made it so easy like he’s playing AC Unity
Hahah thanks, glad you liked the swing that much
What really impresses me is how long your choreo segments are. That much complexity and unbroken movement without many mistakes is no joke
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you appreciate that. You don't want to know how many tries this took me (i practically went insane lmao)
@@animusdrifter That’s choreo for you. It’s for nutjobs and masochists alike and it’s probably the easiest way to make yourself hate a game lmao
@@kinography9085 Indeed lol
your use of ejects and grabs and the horse 😍
another lovely parkour sequence
Ah, now I can sleep peacefully. A great parkour clip right before bed. 👌
Glad It gave you some peace, lol. Good night!
jesus, a 4 minute run is crazy, plus it's completely flawless too. really great stuff
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it
0:23 and right there folks, is the legendary ledge grab mechanic which was possible in 2008 but not 2023.
There is a lot in the old games you still can't do in the new ones.

2:30 blow my mind beautifully executed
Thank you!

3:27 I need to remind myself to do this whenever I see a distant ledge
Yup, it's the basis of fast movement in old school AC. I love doing a small, fast eject off of a nearby wall to gain height/jump range
Good shit, I don't wanna think about how long this probably took you, 4 minute clip like this with no apparent mistakes would drive me insane, I also really appreciate the catch ledge usage here, it feels so good to use pre-AC3

@@animusdrifter ye and it's only possible in this parkour system, it doesn't feel as consistent or fast in 3, let alone Unity
@@stormysoup1083 Indeed.
Fantastic clip especially that pole swing into the hay cart.
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
My Ezio would just launch off a cliff and die.... this is impressive

@@animusdrifter exaxtly👍🏻
that was some good parkour
Glad you liked it
When you played AC Unity as you first ac game[Like me ] 😅
Sadly, my first game was one arguably worse, or at least less AC than unity is lol
Now try a ninja parkour style on ac vallhala 😂
1:30 did you just gallop? how? i can't gallop in free roam
I just held forward + high profile + legs to make it gallop.
02:31 wtf?
It's a bit of a funky move, lol
Mind doing revelations?

What about vahalla rooftops
How did ac3 have worse parkour than this? Ac3 parkour looks clunky compared to this 🤨

What outfit is that??
Roman gilded onyx, i believe

People say that Unity has the best parkour but I always refer to those games and besides you don't have to play as a femboy simp.
