    I couldn't believe how good this pedal was and I'm not talking about for the price. What an absolute gem.

    Cool demo. The pedal totally nails the '60s mosquito fuzz sound but heavier. Dig it! Just ordered one. :)

    This sounds like the Hotone Fury Fuzz. Probably a repackage of that circuit with the Push button becoming the midcut switch.
    Same circuit is also in the Rowin Frenzy Fuzz.
    Unsure what the Hotone was based on originally.

      yeah I believe most of the Chinese pedals are based off the same schematic or at least overall design. A lot were either joyo, caline or mooer clones.

      @@JimijaymesProductionsafter listening to a few comparisons, I'm thinking this is a Behringer Super Fuzz, with midcut being fuzz2?
      Definitely sounds in the same territory

      @@attentionaddicts I have a boss hyperfuzz (which the behringer is a direct clone of) and a univox superfuzz clone which the boss is based on and this sounds very different. This has a little more of the foxx tone machine vibe so I wonder if it's a very modified version of that

    • @attentionaddicts
      @attentionaddicts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JimijaymesProductions ok thanks for confirming, it's not a Super Fuzz
      Could this be a copy of the Danelectro 3699 fuzz? That pedal is based on the Foxx Tone Machine, and it has a mids toggle switch.
      Sounds similar on TH-cam demos

      It could also be a Kimise original circuit, based on the Foxxtone
      They must do *some* R&D

    I just got one on your recommendation. Its a nice and versatile fuzz. I think it could be in the realm of a Tonebender. Maybe!

      Hit the mid cut and you are in stoner rock territory. Its a lot of pedal for $30!

    Fuzz pedal circuitry is the cheapest of the lot. Even cheaper in smd formats.

    What is this? a clone of a Foxx tone machine?

      Possibly but it sounds very different to foxx clones I've used.

    Mine came broken. When I turn it on it makes a popping noise and only the volume knob works. The light indicating that its on wont turn on

      Im sorry to hear that, where did you purchase it from, I believe they are mostly OEM but hopefully the company you got it from can get you a replacement. In australia we have consumer protection meaning that the shop would have to replace a broken one if sent broken.

      @@JimijaymesProductions I got the replacement and I found that the problem wasnt the pedal it was my cheap 10 watt amp haha

    A bit of research on the other names for this pedal with a mid cut come up with the name Rockready RF-1 Retro Fuzz and the Yuer RF-10 fuzz (which appear to be the same pedal)
    Could this based around the Royal Fuzz Box TF-1 / RF-1 (Univox Super Fuzz clone)
    The description of the Super Fuzz sounds in the ballpark.
    "There are two unique features of this device that set it apart from other distortion and fuzz pedals. The first is that the full-wave rectification of the circuit produces an upper octave as well as a slight lower octave. This also gives the sound a lot of compression and gives a mild ring modulator effect. The second unique feature is a tone switch that engages a 1kHz filter that "scoops" the mids, giving a very fat, almost bassy tone, unique to this circuit"
    Description of the Royal RF-1
    " Compared to the grey Super Fuzz it has more splat and upper octave, and the overall GROWL is more apparent."
    Thanks for the demo mate!

    Wich one o f these kmise pedals can I use to play Nirvana songs?

    • @JimijaymesProductions
      @JimijaymesProductions  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No0n of Kurts pedals are really cloned by KMISE but they arent that expensive (the BOSS DS-1 and EHX Small Clone). A lot of that tone comes from the amps and cabs too but if you are really on a budget and just need something the analog and chorus and crunch will give you chorus and distortion. The ENO Trinity is a ds-1 clone so might be better and still should be cheap.
