If you don't see a tools folder ; goto sdk manager -> uncheck hide obsolete files -> check sdk tools folder -> apply changes

15:06 The android emulator is actually on, you have to press the power button for it to come on.

Try npm install -g expo-cli
worked for me and I am on Windows 11 Pro (after react native cli was already installed)

Hi Hitesh, I am just having few queries , I don't have a good system to run android studio and all other software that needed to actually run RN apps , I am using just expo app to view my output on my mobile device , Am I in write path or not please confim

if you got problem, 1st update the node in the current version and install the java 17 version and set the ANDROID_HOME and the JAVA_HOME path and the other sdk path properly. Remember java 17 version is the most compatible version with windows

Hey @harshdeep7015, try jdk 11 or 17; your gradle file will not work (use version 7 for gradle - it supports both 11 and 17 jdk). I also made the same mistake downloaded the 20th version, but I redownloaded it several times for older versions but worked in 17 and 11 and got my app to work.
sir i didn't get the android folder in installation that cause this error -error Android project not found. Are you sure this is a React Native project? If your Android files are located in a non-standard location (e.g. not inside 'android' folder), consider setting `project.android.sourceDir` option to point to a new location.

I dont see the tools folder on my android studio sdk folder. I already installed the required packages
For those who don't see tools directory in sdk manager untick obsolete package and download skd tools you will now see that directory

In view of file manager click on the option of hidden files

We need 2 things only, SDK and plateform-tools that's it. Use real device instead of emulator.

I am not able to create react-native init Awesome01 on mt macOS Version 13.6.1, basically, it fails to start with npm run start or npm run android, some gem file issues are shown, cannot find the solution.

sir I'm currently facing an issue with the android studio installation as in the process when in install type when you choose standard and proceed for sdk package download it is showing me an error as Android Emulator , Google APis intel x86_64 Atom system image and 3more SDk components were not installed

Sir can you explain behavior of JavaScript: e.g var a = [1,2,3,4]; var b=a; b[0]=2; if i console a and b both array are same question is why array 'a' is modified not only 'b'?
Because here you are not passing new value to var b= a, it is reference to var a that's why when changing b[0] = 2 is also changed the a[0]
You have to learn about deep copy vs shallow copy but in simple words I can tell you if two persons have same address in that case if you modify one person address it will automatically update second person address because both have same address ,so avoid this kind of things we have to give unique address to every array

Thanks for your video. To whom it may concern: Error occurred about no '\AppData\Roaming
pm' path after I installed all things and run 'npx react-native init newapp'. Refer to another web solution, I run 'npm install -g expo-cli --force'. Then it works. seems that you need to force run the npm installation after installed the ADK. Install order: node jp, JDK, ADK, node jp again

yea, so i was trying to install the android studio, everything went well but for one thing, the HAXM was not installed, it failed and showed some error, ive tried the the lower versions of the same HAXM but its says the computer does not meet the requirements.. after downloading the latest version, it got installed but then when i try to create a virtual device, it say the HAXM id outdated i need to get a newer version.. what should do to solve this. thanks in advance

create npm folder inside C:\Users\agane\AppData\Roaming , it worked for me

I'm having issues with this step:
3. Configure the ANDROID_HOME environment variable
Finding the location is fine but were and how are you meant to create the variables.
Anybody who is facing error of java 11 just uninstall it and install java 17 from the same source , update environment and you will be fine.
one thing I am not getting, why are we setting up XXXXX\xxxx\xxx\xxxx\tools while we find only 'cmdline-tools' and 'build-tools' inside the android\sdk\ directory, in fact there's no tools folder inside android\sdk directory.. Can any one plz answer this?
untick sdk manager>sdka tools then untick hide obsolete packages you'll find sdk tools with obsolete marking download it and then go to you file the tools will be visible thanks me later
How did you add app folder on desktop?

sir! while doing "c:\users\hp>cd desktop\app"
'System Cannot Find The Path Specified' was occuring. then i created an app folder on the desktop and the issue resolved but now i am confused how to perform the rest as there's nothing in the app folder and you did'nt show what to download or install there to perform the rest or may it is me confusing things.
Can someone KINDLY REPLY and guide me on what should i do and how to resolve the issue?
hey i had the same problem if you still have an issue there's something you can try:
so first see the video again and install all the packages that may not have and see u put all those in system environment variables .
then open command prompt instead of the desktop command run 'dir' you will get everything and make sure to delete that empty app folder you have on your desktop it can create confusion in the future.
and after dir command your computer will either show the react native template thing or may tell you to install a few things .
just follow your computer after that.

Mine is windows.
First I checked the environment variables and installed all of them in the system 'Path' option.
Then in the command prompt: write 'dir' it tells you if anything is missing from your computer that needs to be installed to run the command simply install those
Or you might get the same response as the one in the video after ' dir ' command
For the rest you can follow the video .
Still haven't figured it out guys.. can anyone help?
