    i think showing the syntax difference would help explain it better to react devs or web devs in general for example :
    *React Native* :
    _function_ App(){
    _return_ (
    hello world
    )
    }
    *React* :
    _function_ App(){
    _return_ (

    hello world

    )
    }

      As a web/reactjs/react-native developer with 10+ years of experience I respectfully disagree. I very much doubt that 3 devs (say Kotlin, Swift and React) can pump out 3 separate apps in the same time it takes me to write 1 and deploy it to all 3 platforms. I will concede that a dedicated Kotlin developer is going to faster than me, but he's not going to be 3 times faster. Plus there is also the backend to consider, that those 3 are going to rely on.
      I'm not going to argue that at some point (when the product had some success) the company might need to consider developing separate native apps, esp. if native api access is important, but RN is absolutely invaluable for startups when you can cover 3 major platforms + backend with just 1 senior full-stack developer. In this scenario it is literally "3 apps for the price of 1".

      In term of job prospects learning RN is a better choice, since RN is more popular and being good at RN means you are more versatile and you can work on web projects on React and develop and maintain websites on Gatsby for example. Dart is just not that much of a transferable skill. I can't say anything about app quality - I'm sure Flutter apps are great and maybe better/easier to develop that RN apps. But if your final goal is the best app possible - nothing beats native android/ios apps. And if your goal is the best job possible - nothing beats React, at least at the moment.

    Yes would love to see how realistic it is to ship production apps with RN

    About time, you're here. Heck if Coinbase can build a near native experience using only React Native, anybody can.

    I've used both React native and flutter,
    I honestly think that RN is way better.
    Maybe it's because I'm used to JS.
    Even though I was a .NET developer for the most part and Dart looks pretty similar to C#

      I'm struggling to choose one..what do you think is better when it comes to performance? Flutter beats react native..or react native can give a smooth performance to the app?

    • @renujadecosta6408
      @renujadecosta6408 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Btw I'm a MERN stack dev so going with React Native is easier since I'm JS biased ..but if flutter has more advantages .I think it would be worth it getting into flutter..

    • @alibarznji2000

      @@renujadecosta6408 flutter is better on performance no doubt, but I personally don't like the language it's built on, and react native is much more mature in terms of development, flutter still has quite a lot of bugs

    • @alibarznji2000

      @@renujadecosta6408 the only thing that I see is the performance boost, flutter is good don't get me wrong, but if you're used to JS, I think you can get much much better in react native in a very small time, while flutter takes months, flutter is class based too, so If you don't like the class based OOP like me, you probably wouldn't like it at all

    It'd be nice to have a comparison between React Native and Flutter since I find them to be the Top Players on the multiplatform game.

    Awesome (and useful) content. What about a video building the same app in react native against angular?

    • @NickKartha
      @NickKartha 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Addendum: Porting from angular to react native AND transpiling from Angular to React Native are necessary additions to that video since Angular will no longer be recieving updates.

    If you use React personally or in your organization and are proficient in JS then just use React Native
    otherwise CHOOSE FLUTTER ALWAYS.
    That's my simple rule of thumb.
    Flutter is not going to kill react native. Both can coexist.
    I really dislike React's monopoly over stuff. It takes the spotlight away from other better frameworks like Svelte for example. React is popular because many devs use it and many devs use react because it is popular. This is just a positive feedback loop. Not good.
    If UI is a crucial part of your app, go for Flutter. You can make amazing UIs insanely quickly. No CSS nonsense. Widgets ftw!
