You know your history Bro,! B.T.S was before S.Y. I remember when they began to sale spray paint. I was a little angry with that move because the store had very limited space..Gee you can get spray paint any place, remember when they offered the Uni Wire wide flat marker . They had the slim and the wider version .being an early Pioneer from the early 1970s every writer had one of those along with a Pilot marker (original fat ) screw off cap ,fill with Flo Master ink...ya buddy!!! Fantastic tour ! Hey how can they close Pearl Paint Man that's enough to make cry... this gentrified process has taken away so many great and legendary spots and stores it wipes clean community social land marks which makes part of the area so great. Very sad indeed! I have to hold back tears every time I'm in the Village ,Soho ,L.E.S Canal st. Etc. Keep up the great work..Stay Up!

That Gloss Black New York piece was dope. I think he did that in 2018, around the time Bansky was in the city. Can't believe some toys went over it. My favorite mural in that area, not on Canal but nearby, is Kobra's 27 Club. It's not graff per se, it's street art but it's fire. Everything Kobra does is dope.

Q u His work makes the news, goes viral, gets people to visit and gets writers to go to those spots to tag all over it. Whether people like or dislike what Banksy does, people seem to care.
While conversing on TH-cam with out of town or overseas writers, they'd always ask what spot was there in NYC for Graffiti supplies, memorabilia and literature. I'd always tell them to look no further than 300 West Broadway. The guys in Scrap Yard are pretty cool cats.
My first trip there it was called Soho down under... It was like I was being taught a secret from the older writers. Ha. I think I even took a high school yearbook picture in a bomb the system shirt hahahaha
I haven't been down/up there since 2007. Met stay high out front. 🙏🙏
@@derekjetsone6050 I remember Bomb The System and Pearl Paint. I probably still have some NY Fat's from B.T.S in my art boxes. I tend to keep some of my old artwork and a few supplies I've had for decades in those dusty storage boxes.
