One of my favorite areas to troop through. From the architecture, people and writing, there's always something rewarding to capture. An ever changing neighborhood.
Your channel is like a hidden Gem on youtube. I feel like I'm walking with you. So much history packed into these walking tours. 100X better than a museum tour.. And no B.S commercials. Thank you Fresh Paint!!! You got a fan 4Life.
Lots of dope pieces in LES. I avoid Downtown like the Plague but now that we're in a Plague, I kind of miss it. That Beastie Boys piece is the location of Paul's Boutique. Danielle Mastrion did that piece and the previous one. I know Michael Rapaport hated that one (or was it the previous one?), he ranted about it.
Subscribed after the abc no rio shout out. I went to first show there. Moondog Burn and Krackdown in the basement. The floor caved in during krackdown set. My band eventually played in the upstairs where a crackhead interrupted me during a song to use the bathroom that was behind the drummer. Epic. Thanks for the memories. RIP SaneSmith

Yooooooo! Lower East Side pro vida! Thanks for hitting up my old hood. On Stanton Street, right before your shot cut, it looked like what used to be El Patio was still open, I used to DJ there from time to time in the early 2ks, was a chill Latin spot, and me and a few friends would do Dub Reggae and Hip Hop nights there around 2002. Keep up the dope videos, maybe after this bullshit wraps up, I can get down with you in NYC and check out spots and talk the old days of NYC.
I remember going into the back courtyard in between sets from bands like Born Against, Go!, Citizen's Arrest...more often than not stuff would come raining down from the surrounding buildings. Super fun times! Awesome vid!!
In the beginning of the movie Wild Style, The mural you see, Do you know where that mural was done, I thought it was done In the lower East side, some say it was somewhere uptown. Do you know??
12:32 ahhhhh the old spot on Broome the roof was always open we used to smoke blunts in the staircase/roof there everyday.. one day we were in there for hours we came out to MOODY MUTZ and BABY doing those pieces at 4am... They had crates of paint we was trying to get them to give us some.. They gave us a few half empty ones.... They were kinda dicks...
I actually have video too but they weren't too happy about me recording I added shit up and was like its 4am + they dont wanna be filmed even tho they knew we wrote.. I had a feeling it wasn't a permission spot
german here, hi! quick question: what exactly is happening in the background, right at the beginning of the vid? huge bags of what looks like tin cans that people seem to skim through?
@@TheGraffitiWanderer how old are you? i started writing Graff in NYC in about 1984 u gonna teach me? Lol Dani is new generation Graffiti but she's down.

I hope the graffiti doesn't continue because in the 1980+ it was ugly and made the city look dirty and unkept!!! But I'm all for the cause!!!! 👊👊👊

Man I can’t stand throwups. Tag/write or create pieces...the in-betweens (throwups, bombs, etc) are just noise or fluff.
