I had a husky years ago, and she was the quietest dog ever - borderline mute. Never barked, never howled, super calm and easygoing. One time I picked her up from a groomer who said "she sang to me the whole time." I didn't understand that and then I saw this and wonder if this is how grooming went down 😂
Nicholas, Hi. I wonder if the vocalizing at the groomer is Separation Anxiety, reaction to a strange place with a strange person touching them & doing unfamiliar things that Dad or Mom don't do to them at home.

I have 2 huskies living in the house below me. They are next level vocal, especially when their hoomans arrive home from work.
Some neighbours had concerns that the dogs were being abused - not knowing of course that they are huskies but now everyone knows that they are huskies.

She isn’t whining or crying, she is fully and quickly criticizing every mistake you make with force that would make Gordon Ramsey cry
firstly, the ancestors of Siberian huskies lived in Chukotka :) on the coast there it is not only cold, but also very windy and humid. A friend of mine says that the worst thing for dogs is a "low" snowstorm: the wind drives wet snow no higher than a person’s knee, and a resting dogs are completely covered with snow. Therefore, the correct coat is thick, medium-length and hard: it will not be blown by the wind and lumps of wet snow will not stick to undercoat.
And Siberian Huskies certainly love to swim! They just don’t like it when they are forced to do something without their desire :) to raise their morale, they sing the anthems of their people.
The fact that the owner is a groomer themselves, but would rather pay for someone else to groom Luna is just hilarious to me 😂
Sometimes dogs won't let their own owner do it for them I know we had some dogs that wouldn't even let me touch them they only let other ppl touch them and she shouldn't be putting that on video in my opinion cause I found that a litte rude

@@loriduhaime9583 I may have cats, not dogs, but my cat just wouldn't let me get rid of his mats, or do anything for his health that involves touching him somewhere he doesn't want to be touched, but when he's at the vet, he's such a good boy, he doesn't even do anything when the vet pokes him with a needle.
Edit: well, the vet tried to remove his mats, and didn't manage to do that. The vet wanted to sedate him, but knew she couldn't, because he has kidney issues, so she decided to just show me how to do that at home. I tried, got scratched apart, and am now just manually removing small mats when I find them. And I also tear apart the big mats, because that's a lot faster than slowly brushing them apart with the comb.
Adore the line "I certainly can't imagine why her owner would want someone else to do this." Perfect tone and delivery of the punchline. Loved it.
The real punchline is later when she offhandedly mentions that her owner IS a groomer.

I work as a pet care specialist at a vet clinic with boarding and grooming, and my colleague always says “you know any dog named Luna is a Lunatic!”
Luna short for lunatic hahahahahah when she said i need ear protection i was like " ohh common you're exaggerating" then 5 minutes into the video... I totally understood 😂
They just love to talk. Come home from work, mine needs at least 10 minutes uninterrupted time while she tells me everything that happened to her that day. Sometimes she'll stop like she's done & walk away, then come back & howl for another minute. I swear she's remembered some complaint she neglected to mention. Cracks me up every time😅
My ball has lost some of its chewiness. It was dramatic.

I guess I’ve only ever had defective huskies?! Both of the ones I’ve owned (at separate times) love the water. My first one would belly flop spread eagle into the lake when I took her there 😂. My latest one loves water too and loves to try to eat it. Waterfalls, from the hose, any rushing water she gets in it and eats the water happily 😂. The husky in this video is absolutely beautiful, but what a baby! You could see how happy she was when it was over. I love how huskies don’t mind to show their displeasure by talking! Mine sighs heavily and I swear she rolls her eyes when she’s not getting her way! I really enjoy these videos, thank you for sharing ❤

@@ChunkyJo I must agree. I'm not sure it was a husky I was hearing but in the distance at my last apartment, a neighbor of mine had a dog that would whine and howl all the time. Thankfully, I only could hear it when outside and I suppose when they put the dog out in the backyard. I half thought it was being abused and considered calling animal services, but then was reminded that some dogs juat like to make a lot of noise (also, I've had ASPCA show up and try to get all bossy about how my family was caring for a puppy we'd just saved from nearly starving, and it's not a good feeling trying to tell someone who clearly has blinders on, that they're seeing the "before" pictures, the puppy hadn't filled out yet. For all the good the organization does, it didn't put a good taste in my mouth about them and their "guilty until proven innocent" attitude. Didn't want to put my neighbors through the same thing if I didn't 100% have confirmation of abuse).
Sorry, tangent, lol. But again, I agree, living next to a loud dog like a husky would be pure hell. Thankfully, when my family did have next door neighbors with two huskies, we never even heard them unleas they were outside and having their fun.

Huskeys and Malamutes are so beautiful. I lost mine about 6 months ago after 18 years of his love and devotion towards us. I just can't bring myself to getting anyone to replace him. As a professional pet groomer, there are a number of breeds that I would own but pay someone else to groom.

The best part about this, apart from how gorgeous Luna is ofc, is that she's owned by a groomer. As in: Somebody who probably already deals with huskies professionally, and now does not want to deal with their own. Which is completely understandable.
They must have gave it a go, started with the nails and said ‘nope that’s it, someone else can deal with this’.

This one is technically a street dog, even though there's this old geezer that keeps feeding it which makes it stay around. I'm half a mind to start throwing stones at it. I've got a shit throwing arm and don't plan on picking big ones or even throwing hard, but just enough to make the thing go away. Maybe even do pick big ones and just throw around it so it makes noise and scares it away without hurting it. But it needs to fucking go.
It's a real problem where I'm from where people start feeding street dogs so they gather in packs and become a problem for some other people who genuinely have no business having a problem, and these bleeding heart old lazy fucks just keep feeding them but don't foster them or socialize them with people in any way. Cuz they want to feel like they own a dog without taking on the responsibility of owning them. Cuz it's nice to have someone to give your leftovers to and to pet you and love you unconditionally, but needing to clean piss and shit that a dog that hasn't had time to get potty trained? Or walking them frequently? Or grooming them? Or actually feeding them constantly? Nah, that's too much effort and why bother when they get all their emotional needs validated for so little? In case it's not obvious, I absolutely hate these people.
I actually hate this particular mutt as well, but that's more because the shitstain attacked my old girl when she was a puppy. For no reason, too. Just darted from between cars and grabbed her by the nape. His age and the fact he is literally waiting for his death are the only things that keep me from actually beating it up given this justification.
Luna isn't complaining- she's just giving advice and commenting on the great service she's getting.😄

I can't believe I just watched that husky not only freeze to death via shower, but get frozen by the north winds the dryer was blowing at her.
Truly a tragic moment for that husky's continued life.
Exactly, my Husky died from pneumonia after getting wet in the rain. I did all I could for her, carried her inside and dried her with warm towels, Took her to the Emergency Vet. She was an elderly dog and couldn't get up on her hind legs. She was well for about a month and relapsed suddenly and died. I miss her so so much!

I think having another groomer as a client for their boisterous husked is a great endorsement of your grooming skills.
I’d rather see the groomer use their voice to calm the pets. I hear none of that going on. That would’ve been my last trip to that groomer. My groomers were great at using their voice to calm my anxious dogs.

@@WhyteRaven88 There's dogs, then there's huskies. I've never had huskies, but I've seen enough on them to know if huskies aren't making noise, there's probably something wrong with them. It's just what they do, and you can't stop it without getting abusive. Huskies are one of those pets you don't get without thorough research, and being absolutly certain you can manage them and deal with their particular needs and issues.
@@WhyteRaven88 luna wasn't showing many signs of anxiousness though. her tail was raised, she wasn't panting or yawning consistently and her body language wasn't tucked and lowered. she was just yelling cause she's a vocal breed and definitely would rather be doing something else than getting a full groom. 😭

My old husky was named Luna, she passed last year, god she was actually the most sweetest and loving girl ever, she was fully white and very small for a husky, I miss her so much, rest in peace you beautiful soul, you’ll forever be missed 💞🕊

I used to work with a girl that had the most quiet husky I've ever seen. He would literally just sit at her feet for hours at a time, saying and doing nothing. It was wild
Huskies are very talkative dogs, so a quiet husky usually means bad news
My huskies are generally quiet. But you can literally have a conversation with them lol. Ask a question and they will respond lol. If someone comes to visit they will loudly greet them for a couple minutes, but they don't constantly bark and howl at every thing and situation.
