The VMP blower doesn’t work well for more than 1000whp. I ran it maxed out it made 1144whp - built 5.8L, cammed, ported heads, ported lower. The heat soak was so bad. Whipple 3.8L made 1352whp at 30 psi and ran way cooler than the VMP setup. The 2.65 is just too small and inefficient to run above 1000whp.
@@ImVaiiderr Odin isn’t available for GT500. But Odin has same problem. Same as 2020+ GT500 blower. 2.65 is good for 1000-1100whp. There are 2.65 cars making 1300 or so with nitrous or high compression setups but they aren’t out there racing a running numbers

@@Chrisc407fishing you are correct. My Shelby put down 1346whp and 1100trq. I'm guessing he's making around 1k to the tire, and he's either not geared for this kind of roll racing, or they start at a "low" speed.
NAHH, look at the first race between the GT500/720s...the GT was pulling him good but they had to let off, after that his car wasn't the same each run. Pay attention to the 720s vs 911 turbo race, the 720 didnt pull him nowhere near as much as the GT500 did. Cleary the GT500 was most definitely pulling timing.
Everyone is doubting the potential of the mustang lol my guess is it simply needs a little more aggressive rear gear but the biggest problem is a driver lacking both confidence and experience in racing on the street.
Majority if not all races today on this channel or 1320 or where ever u see them always favor the car with superior transmission tech. The biggest jumps in car tech in last decade isn't HP that was always easy to make. GTRs Porsche Lambos McLaren Vette etc. Just look at mustangs now the auto one can do with say 1000hp the manual needs 1200 to be even

Lots of goofy comments on here. A setup like that is capable of well north of 1,000 hp in a GT500 but timing starts getting pulled with higher intake temps, and 190 degree intake temps is way up there. ECU pulled quite a bit out from what the car can do in good air and decent intake temps. It is what it is. Cooling mods are a HUGE deal in big power GT500's. Probably making 850-900 rwhp on most of those pulls. Heat also rises at a much higher rate when you exceed like 15 psi with a blower and start beating on the car repeatedly.
I get the DCT vs stick argument. But both flat out in one gear, a car with “500hp” more - will put a large distance gap on a car with “500hp” less. Regardless of shifting. Mustang looks to be a 900 wheel hp car at best. Still goes well, but 1300 wheel hp mustangs don’t sit doors and lose to cars with 800hp.
The mustang is a brick, the mclaren is a sled. Different trans and gearing, mclaren probably has much better grip as well. It's just a different animal.

Have a look at powerplay and powercruise track events and also Summernats burnout competition

He's not making over 1000hp. First off stock blower won't make that. The 2.65 won't do that very easy on that displacement. And if it made 1000 hp it would pull on that Porsche and mclaren harder while in gear. His shifts were still shit but while in gear he should pull harder.
