Sometimes, a thermal fuse might be bad but the clogged vent hose and dirty lint screen vent housing cause them to fail as well. And lint can get everywhere so it really needs to be cleaned. Then, people replace the most commonly failed parts on these dryers if that doesn't work. Everybody should learn the safe way to clean lint from their dryer periodically because a lint fire is NOT fun. Even if you have to hire somebody to do it, cleaning out lint is the first step in how to stop dryer fires.
