After missing out on the Apex paint job last year, I bought an anniversary Ultra limited 257 of 1300. Love the bike but as another viewer commented, it should of came out with the 117 engine. The wife & I really enjoy your videos. The Faux Pas video had us in stitches. As a HD rider for 40 years this year, I can honestly say that video absolutely nailed it, and with great humour. 😁👍 Mat, 1 more thing, I bought the 100th Anniversary Road King, there was a gold key option I missed out on. The special badges for the Air Cleaner, points cover & derby cover were optional at a cost. I bought all 3, the crankcase has a 100th Anniversary logo stamped on the left side of the crank case. The Road King is still running strong today, 20 years later and is now owned by my brother in law. See you in November. Ray.

I really like the color and the extra details of the anniversary bikes this year, i especially like the Street Glide. Over here in Sweden it sims like all the Harley Davidson dealerships has at least one of every model on the showroom floor. Same thing with the Fast Johnnie line up.
I like the new anniversary color scheme although I’m not one for red myself either. It does look great though! I agree the volume and overall anniversary release every 5 years is where it should be. Gives a good balance overall. Every year is good but the volume and exclusivity of the 5 years is where it needs to be in my opinion. @@stevek8829 2017 was the last year for the Dyna but they did have 115th anniversary bikes. So there isn’t a 115th anniversary or 2018 Dyna, but the other frames did have 115th anniversary editions most notably the denim paint editions
All those bikes are gorgeous, but as the owner of a 2020 RKS with a 128 in it. And V Rod Muscle, I would’ve like to see them do something big with the new rev max engine. Maybe bump it up to 1450 and put it in a breakout or something. Because of the EPA, I just feel like the Rev Max engine is the future and I would’ve loved to seen it on a big bagger in someway. As a 48 year old, don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love the M8 engines.

MATT as a Harley Woman, about to embark on a solo ride across AUSTRALIA for an entire year, i wanted to get a sportster and turn it into a scrambler. ( didnt want to use my 1200 custom ) but now the new 440X and we cant get it in the USA? That would of been ideal 😢😢😢😢. Im so dissapointed and upset. I guess im going to have to get a lil drz400 for my trip over there. Ugh HD is really making it hard to stay true! My dream was a smaller lighter Pan Am , or scrambler to maybe continue RTW. I had a 100th anniversary Electra Glide and it just didn’t feel special because they made so many of them with an extended model year. Traded it in’06. Great video! Later….

I have always felt one thing setting HD apart is their paint. They do great paint over metrics. So this is not a complaint about paint….BUT….an anniversary edition should come with performance parts and not just paint. I mean at least do a stage 2 or something. Every 10 years seems better than 5. Also the comparison to an 80s Goldwing paint is correct. Honda did almost this exact paint way back then. It’s not bad; just not unique. I would not shell out the $ for one of these but won’t snob anybody that does. When’s your next road trip vid? Love those! ✌️
Great video Matt! I think the anniversary bikes look great. I think to make anniversary bikes truly unique that the interval should be stretched to every 10 or even possibly every 25 years.
I like all of the accents on the Tri Glide except for repositioning and changing Harley-Davidson to 120th on the tour pack. I would have liked a more 3D graphic if they’re going to make a statement. perhaps a two tone effect like the rest of the trike. I had to really reach to find something to change about it though. Just sat on a new street glide recently and I was surprised how stiff the suspension is, it honestly pushed me from considering it. That and the fact that my local dealer marked the price up by $6000 and when I brought up that fact he got an attitude and treated me like I was being unreasonable for asking why it was so high above msrp. Very disappointing don’t think I’ll ever go back into another dealership around where I live.
This color is fantastic. The price is not. I know ppl complain but have you ever seen cars, truck prices come down? Every five years is cool. Really keeps HD designers on their toes.

These 120 Ann. models are all beautiful bikes. But now it is december 2023 and several models of those bikes are still for sale here in the Netherlands. All with a big discount compared to the introduction price. Not what was expected by introduction. I wonder how that is in other countries. Always like your videos Matt.

For a guy that likes red (me), they hit it out of the park. Saw a 120th Anniversary edition Heritage Softail at my local dealer last week- pictures really don't do it justice. I saw CVO level attention to detail- the paint, seat, badging... everything and not just design but execution. Paint was flawless. Definitely not an Earl Scheib $49.99 paint job. Five years is about right for anniversary editions. Less than that devalues the anniversary (we're talking' bikes here, not wives) and ten years is too long- people can forget the brand along with its long history.
If my dealer (or any) finds a 120 Anniversary Tri Glide that has a purchase agreement at MSRP that falls though - I’m a buyer. I want it. That or I’ll wait it out to 2024…been 5 years since any real functional changes on the Trike….it’s due for the 117” or greater now that the 117” is no longer a “CVO” only engine.
I like the deep red (although I liked the 110th anniversary denim blue better), but I just can't get behind whatever color you'd call the side of the seat. Edit: oxblood, I guess.
I think the anniversary version available every 5 years, same time as home coming summer parties, is perfect. Just the right qty produced so each dealer get few making these very desirable on resale. HD is about uniqueness and these fit the bill without extending to a CVO. Just don’t drop it, this is not a local paint shop fix.
I think for these kind of bikes with being numbered they should have like some deal with another company for maybe like a custom seat or pipes for just those bikes make it more worth the cost instead of just paint
The colorways look like 80s Goldwing paintjobs. I wanted to love the Road/Street Glides but after riding everything I had to go with Indian. The Challenger Elite was more comfortable, faster, better looking, more tech, better suspension, cheaper, and more exclusive (150 made)

When every bike is "special", none are. No one does anniversary like HD. Every 5 years? Even limiting the number of units, is this every 5 years a celebration of great rides or a sigh of relief that ‘we haven't gone under yet’? I see used anniversary bikes on dealer floors that have -whatever- anniversary slapped on the tank, yet it is just another FLXXX waiting for someone to come along to give a darn that "yeah, but it's -some- anniversary model, I'll pay the extra $$ versus the exact same bike, cosmetics aside, sitting next to it." That is, they sit. Yeah, I get that the continual anniversary celebrations works as marketing to sell tickets, renew interest for those that are into base-10 numbers, and get people to pilgrimage to Milwaukee. But it is also this constant drum beat that makes me think that they are trying too hard. Are you really confident in what you have going on? Or are you worried that if you don’t ‘’sweeten the pot’ regularly, you might get forgotten? I honestly have no idea, do the Japanese or European makes do this? Or is this strictly an HD thing? That alone might speak volumes. BTW - The paint on these bikes is indeed very nice. Why limit it the number? Just add it as another option for everyone and make extra $$. At least, IMHO.

Until you make your Zero Birthday Card-0-, you have paper forming you as conscious as Frankenstein- alive with no age, because the document proclaiming you have reached an age, is void of that age-0-your missing link-0. How can you be conscious with a missing link that's still missing?
I can prove everyone alive is not conscious. That's what CONTACT does. It changes everything, so everything has been thrown at me, and is still being thrown at me, and bullies like Joe Blow Rogan laugh with their "THEY LIVE" parasite friends, and have no clue about their ends.
