    I watched a LOT of videos, but I must say I had a constant smile watching this. Love your laid back style mate.
    I have a new to me 2019 650XT here in Thailand and just on our first shakedown trip.
    I have 3 boxes 2up and the rear suspension is wound right up as far as it will go but the back tyre is hitting the cross member for the panniers....
    Maybe this will help that ? It does my head in seeing SHORTER bones making the bike taller 😂
    Thanks for sharing and I will be subscribing for sure 😊

    Please make a follow-up video of handling and other adjustments you had to make. This video left us with so many questins ;)

    Helpful, I love your acknowledgment of amateur mechanics because I’m exactly the same 😄 Great to see this before I attempt the same, thanks!

    Hello, good video.
    How does it handle after the change? On road and off? I suppose it sharpened the angle on the forks - did you notice it handling different in loose gravel?
    Are you planning on adjusting front as well? Saw those mods on NC750X and people usually put spacers in the forks to lift the front accordingly.

    How's the experience with the new lift kit? , as I also face ground clearance issue . I purchased a pre-owned vstrom so I could ride along with my wife .looking for your valuable feedback.

      The kit did help with ground clearance. But does make for a bit not lean when on kickstand. Recommend extending kickstand or using a block under kickstand.
      We did light off roading and the increased height made for more confident riding.

    Nicely done!
    Side stand will definitely require some tweaks :)
    You've mentioned that Ozarks video, would you also try to lift the front as well?

      @AirJarvis  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure just yet. Most of the weight is at the back of the bike, so started there. I did some videos where people modify the front, but no necessarily lift the front. Maybe for another day. 😀

    Did you consider the Adventure Tech lifting links? They have up to 1.125"+ dog-bones.

      At the time had never lifted a bike. My searches at the time led me to Lust. Don’t recall seeing Adventure Tech during research. Pretty simple part, so imaging others are just fine as well.

    Hello. Very nice video. Its easy now to get it to the double stand now?

    • @AirJarvis
      @AirJarvis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very easy. rear tire slightly touches ground with center stand down. if doing chain Maint, etc., then I usually place a 1 inch board under the stand and lift bike on the board. works well.

    There are different Dog bone lift sizes on lustSite. What size did u use 25mm lift or 40mm lift?

    • @AirJarvis
      @AirJarvis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I purchased the 40mm set. In video I mention 1 inch but actually 1.6 inch / 40mm. Have had no issues other than the bike lean with original kickstand. I end up using center stand quite a bit.

      The center stand is very close to touching the chain , have you checked that ?

    So i want to raise my Vstrom, do the replacements need to be longer or shorter? Im confused

    • @AirJarvis
      @AirJarvis  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, it is a little confusing. Shorter link raises the bike. When purchasing from lust, site tells you if kit raises or lowers.
      When playing with it, it makes sense as a shorter link, shortens the gap between the bottom brace and the rear suspension.

    Do you have to adjust the chain after this?

    • @AirJarvis
      @AirJarvis  ปีที่แล้ว

      Did not event think about that. Did not adjust it at the time. I recently put new tires on, through that process, adjusted the chain.
