Hi, Bought Food Grade D.E. and dusted it all over my plants, but aphids still around walking on it and all.....Any thoughts?

+Niko SikoDiko Yes I do have thoughts on the matter. When I first started using D.E. I tried some food grade Diatomaceous Earth that I bought at tractor supply. My goal was to see if it worked on fire ants in South Carolina. After 14 days of continual use I finally started to see die off. It wasn't until I discovered ProTerra Desect-HG that I learned that not all D.E. is formulated equally. The Diatomaceous Earth that I was using had high concentrations of other minerals like clay, sodium, magnesium, iron and calcium. Thus making it less effective in killing the fire ants. When I discovered and used ProTerra Desect-HG on the fire ants I was seeing die off within 2 days.
ProTerra Desect-HG is the purest form of D.E. available on the market and that is why it is more expensive than other brands.
