Great job explaining this feature; I have reviewed several other sources but thus one got the point across. One question: would I make a change to a color beyond the range of there hue slider?
I think that your question is "could I make a change to a color beyond the range of the hue slider" using Lightroom's Point Color feature. If so then the answer is not really. For that kind of massive color change, ie. making something red into a blue, you would be better off using Adobe Photoshop.
