Dust guards were originally created to prevent metal debris from entering the AirPod Gen 1 & 2. The location of the magnet at the back of the case, towards the middle of the clasp, which increases the likelihood of metallic particles getting into the case and messing with the charging contacts. Magnet on AirPods Pro aren’t located in the same area, hence no issue with metal particles. But, it is stylish lol

The clear esr case puts deep scratches into the case of the airpods and I’m saying this with experience cause I bought it for my airpods pros so I’d go with something soft on the inside so it doesn’t scratch the case

Makes sense. Dirt gets between the case and the surface of the airpod charging case.
James Lykins the case itself scratched them. There are some pretty deep scratches on my airpod case because of this. The case itself isn’t made very well and the quality control could be a little better. I don’t have this problem with the silicon case that I have.

I Highly recommend one piece airpods case such as the UAG case. I have airpods and had the silicone 2 piece case. The problem with them is the fact that the top piece goes off every time I open my airpods

Steve Mitchell I used water and dish washing liquid. It actually WORKED
You don't need water. If it is the ones mentioned in this video, they come sealed in a double sided clear sticker. You lift one side off, and use that clear sticker to stick the non-sticky side of the guard onto the clear sticker. The clear sticker is now used as a template to guide, and place the guards on your air pod case. Once you have them lined up right, you press down on the template and lay out the guards. Then just lift off the template, and they will remain on.
Using water or soap, will break down the adhesive with time. Eventually they will bubble and shift on you. I have been using those guards since the 1st gen AirPods. The first time I installed them, I used the water method, but they didn't last. The second time I did it as above, and that guard is still in place all Thai time.
just purchased a clear case which is just so strong which cannot be uninstall from my airpods pro (it has became the case for airpods pro case...) i used knife or too many ways to remove it but the thing is that some cases are too strong too protective
Had the foam tips for a while. Was originally 22ish but that mark up is funny. Anyways my review is they are the reason why I didn't return my airpods pro. Have 0 issues with it, highly recommend them

Guys the best case you can get is Spigen urban fit it’s microfiber inside so no scratches and the case raises when opened so it’s one piece and will never fall off

Bought a hard plastic case and cannot remove it for four hours which that one is extremely tough and cost the Genius Bar 20 minutes to cut that case using their hard machine... keep in mind, it is hard case, some of this criteria could be too strong

You're not supposed to spray water on the dust guards, they are made of metal so all you need is tweezers to place them in. Airpods have magnets imside so its orettty easy to install.
Dunno. The first time I tried to install them, there was definitely adhesive. I had to spray them with water because parts stuck to each other. The second time, I used the very packaging to stick them on the non-sticky side to the packaging film, and used the film as a template to install the guards.

Make a rubber silicone case that DOESN’T pop open and your AirPods fly loose when you drop it. These may protect the case, but aside from the leather cases with snaps, none of the other cases will protect your AirPod pros from flying out when the case hits the ground, it’s kind of a nonsense approach.

The only reason I clicked on this is Bc I have the same exact case and my black dust guards came in today. The top of my ESR case only came off once so far. And thats when I dropped it. It flew off afterwards :|

The most valuable accessory would be wet wipes to clean the tips. If they have any oil on them from my ears they fall out. Clean and dry they stay in.

These are terrible headphones if you sweat a lot while you workout. Tried running with these and they started popping out of my ears as soon as i started sweating. Would not recommend these for working out
All AirPods eventually pop out during exercise. That is why I use a head band and wrap it over my ears when running or working out
