You guys should try Artist Tribal some day. Each player has to play at least 60-70% of the deck to be a card drawn by one specific artist at least once.
I'm only a few minutes into the gameplay but I'm chuckling like mad :D The fear of natural jank commander tron. The fear of Tomer wheeling with Narset out. The greed being countered and Seth begging for his spells to resolve. This is the most fun I had with commander clash in a long time XD
Seth offering every spell to Crim and implying he is only keeping them when Crim does not want them was hilarious. "Would you enjoy a Cryptbreaker, Crim?" :D
love the show and always looking forward to it. A couple of comments on this episode: the friction between Tomer and Crim was apparent and it was obvious that the behavior from both players became unfriendly. Now im sure they are not any less good friends but as a viewer i dont know your bonds and friendship and the tone and actions become hard to watch as it looks overtly unfriendly. Furthermore the quagmire that Crim and Tomer created for themselves resulted in the game not progressing which made this episode relatively uninteresting as the decks didnt do very much and Seth was just allowed to run away with the game.
I'm glad someone else said this. Came looking in the comments to see if it was just me. Idk if there's beef or if it's just some good ribbing, but as a viewer it's getting old knowing how basically half the game is going to go. It's getting to the point where I might as well flip a coin to see if Seth or Richard will win. Please try and change this, because I look forward to these shows and this rivalry between Tomer and Crim are leading to uninteresting games.
So, I haven't seen the question at ~ 10:00 answered yet, so here it is: The ability will indeed go on the stack, the only time when similar triggers won't go on the stack is when the word "if" is used (this is called the "intervening 'if' clause"). Since Undead Servant doesn't say "if there is another card named Undead Servant" or something similar, the ability does trigger and you can sac in response.
I'm sorry but this one was not as fun as usual in my opinion. The dynamic between Tomer and Crim just ruined everything. I mean, together they managed to let Seth win easily. No real «casus belli» to me since Crim is playing a «steal your stuff deck». Tomer's hand was still packed with goodies, just a little bit of politics was required to make it a great game.
NGL this was the most appropriate bit of Kingmaking in all of Commander Clash history, Tomer just going "nah you stole my Niv, I let Seth kill us then," is absolutely the most satisfying moment of turnabout I think we've ever seen and thank god too cos Crim was just not playing political at allll it felt like.
I am kind of sick of the giving up and ruining the match. The counterspell player will usually counter whoever goes right before unless very scary stuff is played
@@icyjfrog I mean, Crim had all the right times to steal things beforehand and instead decided to steal Niv, basically making sure Tomer couldn't wrath the board and Seth could win, essentially throwing the game with bad politics/bad counterspell and steal spell usage but go off I guess.
So... Rather than try to counter the Spell Jack to get Niv to resolve, Tomer could have responded with Fateful Showdown, and maintain priority cast Expansion targeting Fateful Showdown. He'd end up drawing 4x2=8 & 8 damange, then the original resolve and draw/deal 16 damage. In total he'd put Crim to 4 and have a hand of 16! Any burn spells could close it out, or spell recursion, or creature, or even instant speed draw during the first 8. Edit: I can't count
If I cast Fateful Showdown + Expansion it with 3 cards in hand and Thought Reflection in play, I'd do 3 damage, discard the 3 cards and draw 6, then deal 6 damage, discard 6 cards, draw 12. I'd have dealt 9 damage and had 12 cards in hand. That puts Crim at 19. Where are you getting your numbers from?

Saccing Undead Servant with the ETB on the stack would work From Gatherer for Undead Servant "Count the number of Undead Servants in your graveyard as the ability resolves to determine how many tokens to put onto the battlefield. If Undead Servant dies in response to its own triggered ability and is in your graveyard as that ability resolves, it will count toward the number of Zombies you get."
This game is further proof that players that focus their deck around counters ruin games and make it not fun to watch. Also Temple of the false God is statistically a really good land Tomer

Richard sitting on an Ugin for about 10 turns when he could have killed Lili ages ago while Seth refuses to kill anyone and just draws cards. Oh Commander Clash.
This episode haven't been super enjoyable. (Apart of the Ætherize bluf) This Liliana whas a big problem and I feel like everyone was just playing chicken, trying to let some one else solve the problem to keep the win conditions in hand.
Problem was that Richard got mana screwed so his answers to the problem were very limited. He might be able to kill lili is he keep swinging at her with weather light but he risks dying on the crack back if no one helps. Crim basically let Seth run freely by never really disrupting him outside of greed and screwed over Tomer by stealing his big spells. In turn he kind of didn't do anything. Tomer was in the best position to challenge Seth but got screwed over by Crims disruption. He can't risk casting big things only to let Crim steal it away or counter it. It puts him far too behind if that happens. He also got spited ftorward Crim for taking all of his things which kind of have the game to Seth. Though, if Seth had wanted to be could've killed more people earlier by swinging out.
I like this idea for future episodes! Could you do this with modern horizon spells where you build a commander deck around a spell from that set? I feel like that would be pretty cool instead of just building off the commanders from the set alone.
I remember playing Reservoir Walker in a playtest league, and I won a lot of games by enchanting it with a Mechanized Production I pulled. It was a very fun time.

It's not that it made no one play, it's that this rivalry between Tomer and Crim, while it seems friendly, is leading to poor threat assessment. It's fine once and while, but the humor is fading as a viewer and leading to boring games.

Then Tomer gets upset and either A, doesn't get to play or B, makes some misplays himself. Getting old.
the Delve mechanic prevents you from autoyielding especially when its on an instant because delve counts as u always having enough mana to cast it as long as u have a graveyard online
Very sneaky tomer, encouraging crim to steal the tutor so you could niv mizzet and windfall next turn. Crim was so justified not spelljacking increasing ambition.
Well, no doubt. I think it was not because Tomer was upset about loosing two cards, but because Crim did it it while Seth was running ahead with the game. There was no teamwork from Crim, which frustrates.

It should have been arch enemy but instead it was Crim backstabbing Tomer who was trying to deal with Seth. And nothing to steal? Seth cast an unlimited tutor and Crim snubbed his nose. Straight bs. Also Crim stole 3 things from Tomer: Niv. Metallurgic, and Tomer had to use his Commit/Memory to stop a third attempt. Anyone would be salty at Crim helping the player way ahead crush any and all resistance.

James Cody it’s basically every game with Krim. Regardless of how or where Tomer is Krim gangs up on him. I think an equally bad example was the Umezawa deck where Tomer had a board wipe (Oblivion Stone) to stop the threat in play (Seth) and Krim goes *die roll* bye Tomer!
Tomer, I would be perfectly fine with you bluffing. Especially if you silently show off to us that you are bluffing by putting your cursor over a card that you say you don't have.

Okay so pretty sure you can sac the Undead Servant to get it's own trigger. It took a bit to be sure but you can respond to ETB effect with sac not damage (if you use damage to kill the creature damage will resolve at end of phase). Not a great interaction but hey it's possible.
It isn't a conditional if with undead servant so if you do somehow sac it while the trigger is on the stack you will get a token. Also I have been working on a grandeur deck in edh to use its ability sadly though it has to be base blue/(black or green) for the cloning effects and getting the grandeur card back to your hand
Not a judge but I am fairly certain that the zombie has to already have gone into the graveyard before the dies ability triggers so you can't sacrifice it in response. That's why commanders don't trigger dies abilities when you choose to return them to the command zone, they never actually get there.
Whenever there's a random week, I always roll a random card just for fun, this time I got Recurring Nightmare. That would be such a fun card to build around.

There is no if in the triggered ability on undead servant, and it doesn't have a target so yeah I think if you sack undead servant in response to his trigger it would return 1 zombie 2 sacrificial lambs for 4 mana is bad but there are worse interactions in magic. Just need a really awesome sacrifice outlet
Seth’s deck this week contained most of my kitchen table Zombie tribal deck from Onslaught era, so I’m happy even if I wanted to see Traxos do things. (I also hate Temple of the False God.)
Somewhat sad that seth didn't pick blue black to gain acces to body double to create an undead servant on the battlefield and one in the graeyard, then you can use other clone spells to create more servants or reanimate the servent using black while the OG remains in the graveyard. Which can be put there by some black spells like burried alive.
EDHREC actually has an option to give you a random legendary creature. I think this would be a cool rendition of this
The app MTG familiar will let you choose a random card from any combination of parameters if you want. I really like the app

I don't know about "F8" and whatnot Tomer, but I use: right-click, No possible play: yield all.
This was when the bug was on mtgo I think. F8, and autoyielding didn't work if you had a card with flash or an instant in hand

There is no if in the triggered ability on undead servant, and it doesn't have a target so yeah I think if you sack undead servant in response to his trigger it would return 1 zombie
2 sacrificial lambs for 4 mana is bad but there are worse interactions in magic. Just need a really awesome sacrifice outlet

Seth’s deck this week contained most of my kitchen table Zombie tribal deck from Onslaught era, so I’m happy even if I wanted to see Traxos do things. (I also hate Temple of the False God.)

Tomer, Seth has played Arjun before, on the first commander clash submitted decks. You played bear tribal... and lost because you know, bear tribal

Somewhat sad that seth didn't pick blue black to gain acces to body double to create an undead servant on the battlefield and one in the graeyard, then you can use other clone spells to create more servants or reanimate the servent using black while the OG remains in the graveyard. Which can be put there by some black spells like burried alive.
Seth Body Double would've worked with Undead Servant.

Seth could have done graveyard clones. Things like Body Double that could copy his nombo zombie while it is in the yard.
