can i suggest that you do another "Revenge" week, but instead of playing decks you played before you each pick a deck that another person has played in the past (with no changes, even if the cards in it are more expensive now) that beat you and you want to use to beat the?
Fun games! @2:04:35 "How do I get through this Godhead?" Richard can use the 2 mana in the pool to activate Nykthos making 9 mana, then tap the last mountain for 3 mana to get to 12. Play both the Shard Phoenix and Chandra then sac the Shard Phoenix leaving Seth with only the Godhead of Awe and Diluvian Primordial and Crim with no creatures. Then -3 the Chandra killing the Diluvian Primordial and then attack all at Seth which will force him to block the Eron with Godhead otherwise he will be at 1 and die to his own Arena trigger. This then leaves Seth at 4 life then down to 3 after his Arena trigger next turn with no board presence.
I am pleasantly surprised that Moonfolk finally managed to do something... I guess 5th (6th?) time really is the charm :P Not to mention a new record for referencing anime. Thanks for the great episode everyone!

Let's be real, the legendary phoenix will be a 6 mana 4/4 with haste that etb's to bring all your pheonixes from your graveyard to the battlefield, give them haste and make them sac at EOT.
That actually sounds like a really fun commander. Play a bunch of wheel style cards to dump a bunch of phoenixes into the graveyard, play your commander and swing for a million. If it doesn't win, you can just start recurring them next turn anyway.
Why was Richard playing Nykthos when he even never activates it? Like at around 2:05:00 he could have played so many more cards from his hand and attack with all?
I think seth should have risked the burn spell and not blocked with his soul of theros. He loses to recursive Phoenix's, but that life link is how he races Richard.
Mono blue ramp i know in commander: Seat of the synod + mechanized production = ramp and possible win con. Did it during a convention i went to this past weekend as I had a mana screw going. 1 of my opponents felt bad for me so let it stick around for 6 turns before he destroyed the production... as long as I didnt summon my commander (brutaclad) during those 6 turns.
I think it would be very funny to see a Tribal artist commander deck! Just imagine seeing a board full of the same type of art in each of your cards, also the decks would be very funny in their owns. I've been waiting for this deck since sanctuary came out. And this is the nice budget version I think it is borderline cdeh tier competitive powered up if you splash or go golos so you can all the millions of land tutors in a heavy u bug deck or in a ug tatyova shell but you still run all the good moonfolk but also get e witness crop rotation, land ramp and stuff. It would be pretty cool to see your powered version next cedh @budgetcommander

It's fairly clear they were playing a second game and are friends playing at a casual level, and tomer often plays the part of scorned heel on a revenge path with the abbacus, the vince rivalry, and mono w with cop w, punchholing d n t staples to give vince for the holidays or muddstahs tire. Also the deck wins fairly quick with it's killing combos that go infinite and generally they will play out to show a win con as infinite turns is not a win or infinite, though he didn't have pressure. Also "intricate" combo? It is a fairly intricate combo deck that has a lot of overlapping options. Turns don't win, the deck is so small bodies that value isn't reliable, mill isn't reliable and your combo creatures aren't reliable killers. It's not doomsday but it's much more intricate and nuanced than a majority of combos played in commander like teferi, hermit or any other turn deck over and win, any variation of kiki pod type combos, exquisite blood, doubling season plus walker any resevoir deck, food chain etc. Combo isn't a very intricate archetype in commander tbh, it's very learn what to tutor, a few decks are but most that think they are just are janky which is very different, and there is a difference between a clear joke and actually just negging the deck in comments.
Don't play ruptured spire or any of its friends. For the same price you can get grand colloseum which is just city of Brass that enters tapped and you can tap it for colorless without losing life. Path of ancestry is also a great tap land. It's essentially command tower that enters tapped
Michael Gordon both enter tapped. Yes, Rupture bothers you once for 1 extra mana. It then never again bothers you for anything and is a penta land. Grand Colosseum enters tapped and then has to hurt you to be a penta land or it’s colorless. But if you’re running either of these lands, you’re 100% on a tight budget so odds are you’ll need the fixing every turn or close to it. Both are bad for sure. Or at the minimum, they are far from ideal (but lands are expensive and I get it). but a tapped pain land seems a lot worse imo. If running these, your meta is no doubt slower and life totals matter more than in higher power levels. If I had to choose under those constraints to have tapped pain land penta or 1 time tax, tapped penta, I know my choice. Granted I help folks budget brew a lot and never recommend more than 2 colors if on a super strict budget level. 3 color decks need at least $100 USD imo to function half-decently. But IF one was to do some super cheap 5 color deck, this makes more sense to me anyway.

What you say makes as much sense as saying a wastes is better than ancient tomb because it doesn't hurt you to tap it. The mana matters in strong decks and being able to tap for colorless for free is a huge upside, since you might not need all of your lands to produce colored mana every turn. But when you do it's there for you. To give context, tarnished citadel is a card people play in budget competetive lists.
