I’m not sure if I could live without sarcasm. I know that I’ll have rattles, I just don’t want to be making extra ones.

I have a feeling when I'm done with this, we'll need to go on a roadtrip together to make sure all the rattles have been fixed.....Vegas?

I would have insulfoamed through all 11 holes with a long nozzle to reach opposite side, encapsulate those rattles.

@@kllisk Great suggestion! It's actually not too late for me to do that. Is there a particular spray foam that you'd recommend? The reason I ask is that I saw a post of a Willys Wagon owner forum where the tailgate had foam inside it and it seemed to trap water and cause more rust. Just didn't want this to happen for me.
If you have a hydrophobic foam you'd recommend, please let me know.

No brands that I am familiar but to keep from absorbing water it would have to be a closed cell foam.

Looks like you were using flap discs in the angle grinder for your metal prep. I really like those for grinding down weld beads and blending.

Yes they are! I buy off brand 80-grit flap discs and they do a great job of cutting down welds and taking edges off. I like them better than the stone-like wheels that are pretty damn harsh.

I only like rattles on long road trips with friends.
